Day six is six packs of two-four. 4:44 That's 144 beer. A gross of beer bottles. At the time empties were worth 5 cents. $7.20. That would buy a 12 of beer and a pack of smokes with some left over for a couple of donuts, just by returning the empties. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
Merry Christmas, hope you and the family have a blessed day. Something you should take a gander at is The Log Drivers waltz. It's from the 50's and is about logging in north Ontario and Quebec. It's a true iconic Canadian song. We still love it.
Another Canadian Christmas classic you should check out is the Arrogant Worms 'Christmas Turkey' album. It has such classics as "Santa's gonna kick your ass', 'Vincent the Christmas Virus' and the weirdest Christmas song of all time 'Christmas in Ignace'.
Hi Tash! Just Subscribed to your channel. I think it's fantastic that you are reacting to anything with Bob & Doug in it. You actually LOL for real made me LOL. Being a Canuck myself, I am more than ecstatic that the world gets to experience the McKenzie Brothers with your sense of humor. Keep up the good time. Cheers! Dood
I was grocery shopping today. The original came on. Can’t help but put their words into it, singing quietly to myself, 4lbs of back bacon, 3 French toast etc…
I have two more suggestions for you. The first is one from SCTV, the Schmenge Brother’s Leutonian Christmas (Eugene Levy and John Candy). The other is the Red Green Christmas Special. You should also get around to watching the Schmenge Brothers when they appeared on David Letterman.
This was done in the early 80s, and it is still a staple on all radio stations that plays Xmas music here in The Great White North of Canada... eh! FYI, Geddy Lee of RUSH does a song off this album with them called "Take Off"... well worth the listen! Please do a reaction on that one.
Morning, Tash. Top of the feed. When this came out, it was an instant hit for Xmas. I never heard the chat before the song bc they only ever played the song on the radio. A slab? Thats funny. I love how the production value ramps up as the days go higher.
G'day Tash. I realize that this channel is devoted to Canadian content, but I just wanted to make a suggestion for your consideration. British Airways puts out some of the best videos at Christmas. I just watched "British Airways - Fairytale in New York. A very Kevin Christmas" (inspired by "Home Alone"). I don't want to give anything away but it is human kindness personified. I blubbered and sniffled all through it from the sheer joy of children being children when circumstances don't always let them be.
A carton of name brand smokes here where I live is $110CAD and about $16CAD per pack. Or you can go to the native reservation and buy really shitty smokes for $15 a carton but all the tobacco is floor sweepings lol
One other song they did as the McKenzie brothers was "Take Off", which also featured Rush lead singer Geddy Lee. I guess he was a big fan. He was a big enough fan that in 2007, he paid the brothers a visit to help celebrate the two-four (24th) anniversary of their movie "Strange Brew".
On a different topic -- Here is a very good video about hiking in Auyuittuq National Park on Baffin Islind. Beautiful, including some spectacular Northern Lights! It's a bit long at 21 minutes, but well worth the time. It includes gorgeous footage of Mount Thor, which has the longest sheer cliff in the world at 1.25 km straight down (in fact, the cliff overhangs by about 15 degrees). The UA-cam video is called "Magnetic Baffin" by David McColm.
Smokes come in cartons of 8 packs of 25 cigs. price on smokes depends by the province but for the most part you can bet on $13 to $16 a pack.. before taxes..
I can buy a carton of smokes, that's 8 packages (200 cigs) for about $50 bucks at the Indian Reserve which is about a half hour drive east from my place.
I highly recommend all Canadians and fans of goofy Christmas songs listen to Kathleen Edwards - It’s Christmastime (Let’s Just Survive). You can’t get more Canadian than a song that mentions Crappy Tire. 😊
Those of us lucky to live near Native reserves get to buy cheap smokes and since they made weed legal, where I go, it costs me $25 for a carton of smokes (8 packs of smokes) and $10 for an OZ of weed
I was 6 years old when my brother bought this album from the K-Mart.

came to point that out :)
I love that you're calling Bob & Doug a couple of hosers. 😂
A Christmas classic!! Thanks for the throw back Tash. And, Merry Christmas to you & yours.
Happy holidays!
Haligonian here... love the Halifax Mooseheads tee!

Tash did a reaction video to The Log Driver's Waltz eight months ago. Scroll to the bottom of the video list.
@@sachospunn3809I’ll need to look for that reaction!
As soon as I saw what the video was I thought, "Oh, she's going to LOVE this one."
Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas are two Canadian treasures. I love SCTV, bloody great show. I get so nostalgic when I see them.😊
Canadian songwriter rock star Ian Thomas, Dave Thomas's brother.
These hosers were a large part of my life.
Love this! Thank you so much for reacting to this. I love Bob and Fougs 12 days of Christmas. So funny!
Loved their movie "Strange Brew", haven`t seen it in many years now though.
I was singing along with Bob & Doug. I play this classic every year at Christmas 🎄❤️😎
Me too😂
As much as I loved "Great White North" on SCTV (well known for brilliant sketch comedy) I personally found the Canmore version funnier.
Awesome. Only problem with the animated version is the beers weren't stubbies. Lol.

Day 6 was 6 cases of beer, so they had enough for the song.
They did say that the 3 days were mystery days at the beginning so maybe its makes sense that they skipped 9, 10, and 11

Schmenge Brothers Cabbage Rolls and Coffee!
@@Zlata1313 Mmm, Mmm, good!

Now look for "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" by the Irish Rovers. A Canadian-Irish group.

Will check it out, cheers
Hey Tash, it's actually pronounced "two-four" because there are 24 bottles in a case of beer.
A carton of name brand smokes here where I live is $110CAD and about $16CAD per pack. Or you can go to the native reservation and buy really shitty smokes for $15 a carton but all the tobacco is floor sweepings lol
They probably passed out after the drinking the two fours🤣 and smoking 7 packs of cigaretts & forgot days 9-10-11

Eight packs of 25 smokes (a carton) can be as low as $50 on the Res. 4:23 The taxed price could easily be over $90.
A Canadian Christmas classic

One of the best versions. "Welcome to day 12."
I still have that album... love the song with Rush
Hahaha! Love this Christmas classic.
4:45 cigs are $20 pack. (Or illegal native smokes $5)
You know what would be fun too? Bob and Margaret s4e13 a very fishy Christmas, both halves are here on yt if you want!(: have a good day & week!
Check out what they got on Day 6.
Morning Tash that was good. Loved watching the animated version. Enjoy the weekend🫶
Thank you! You too!
This is on one of the Christmas CDs I burned back in the day. Just listened to it the other day 😊
😁
Enjoy!
day six is 6 2/24 packs of beer
I love your laugh Auzzie Tash! Merry Christmas from Montreal, Canada!
I like they have Stubbies
They were too drunk to remember all 12!
Smokes come in cartons of 8 packs of 25 cigs. price on smokes depends by the province but for the most part you can bet on $13 to $16 a pack.. before taxes..
9th 10th and 11th are the three no need days lol
Those are the mystery days.
regarding the days 9-11 if you listen to the beginning they said 3 mystery days when they were counting the days
I can buy a carton of smokes, that's 8 packages (200 cigs) for about $50 bucks at the Indian Reserve which is about a half hour drive east from my place.
that 6 two fours dear of beer
Merry Christmas Tash ☃☃☃
U 2 xx
Plus it’s a beer everyday!
Six 24s is the reason the later days of Xmas go missing...
I highly recommend all Canadians and fans of goofy Christmas songs listen to Kathleen Edwards - It’s Christmastime (Let’s Just Survive). You can’t get more Canadian than a song that mentions Crappy Tire. 😊
Should be a couple beers left from 6 Two-fours by the end of the song
Had the album, you should react to the song take off with geddy lee.
Your comment about just the one beer... you missed the 6 pack of Two Fours (flats of 24 beers). So the beer multiplies quickly.
We don't really use the term "hosers" much anymore. At least I haven't heard it.
24’s are BEER too.
So wooden shoes, wooden head, wouldn't listen 😅
We should make you an honorary Canadian.
SIX 2-4s...6 x 24= 144 🍺
Ausie Tash you missed it! You drink a beer for every verse so it’s 12 beer, then you drink the 24s.
Ttheir song FUKKS !! I'm now eagerly waiting for your reaction to October Ends ' new song!
You GOTTA do the movie "Strange Brew" :)
oooohhhhyes
6 packs of 2 4s...........beer
And so Canmore is the most educated and the most richest community in the country
I Quit Smoking a couple years ago, but currently in Vancouver anyways cigarettes are $16 for a pack of 20
Cheap to australia an 20 pack is about $32
BEER HUNTER !!!!
I don't know if it's just your accent but it's a 2-4 not a toofer.
