The reason for Parasect's eyes being lifeless is because Parasect is dead, the Mushroom took control of its body.

at 4:20, I think that coffin with the arms and Area 51 tag are a reference to Lewis Goldson (or similar name) from guilty Gear. He uses a coffin with blue arms he stole from area 51 as his weapons, so maybe?
