The Currently Scouting menu it for when you are scouted by an Alliance. All the Alliances that have scouted will show up and you can decline or accept.
Hey, about creating an alliance. Please don't use alliance logos of other alliances, especially those on the same ship as you. It's pretty rude and a lot of the alliance logos I've seen are hand drawn meaning the person who created them put work into them. I've had another alliance use my alliance's logo which was made by out leader and it is literally a chibi version of her. They are a pretty new alliance so they probably didn't think twice about it but it just makes the alliance you took from, when they realize, kind of mad and/or awkward. Just please, don't do this. I said just for creating but also for alliances that are existing now, unless another alliance gives you permission to use their logo, just don't. PLEASE, if you have anything that would prevent you from playing or little interest in being active(a.k.a you are truly a casual) or on the other hand, if you are a hardcore grinder with specific targets. Specify them in the text box. A lot of alliance leaders will actually read that and contact you to ask if you want to join, this will also prevent you from being kicked out over and over every time you take a break and avoid toxic elitists telling you what to do if all you want is to do is chill and play at your own pace. And don't be scared if you are just there for fun, there are a lot of alliances that are just there as a community hub with no real goal, just to chill.
that search function you were thinking is actually for when an alliance scouted your advertisement and want to invite you to their alliance. They will appear on that box. So there is no search function for looking for an alliance.
yeah one of the biggest criticisms I have about PSO:NGS, and really about the PSO series in general, is the poor communication of features and their functions. After I learned a majority of the game I realized it's not that complex, but the wording is really poor. Could be a localization issue, could be a technical issue on the back end. Either way it's a weak spot for Sonic team and PSO, still I say game is one of the best mmo's I've played in awhile.
I'm still without a single Gigantix kill, even though I've seen tons of them. It sucks that you need to belong to a big alliance or your chances of getting kills is close to 0%. I have no interest in joining a large group of unknowns, I've always played my MMOs rather with a tight-knit group of people. I've cleared stuff like Ultimates in XIV with that style, but then a random world boss turns out to be nigh impossible in NGS. It's gotten better after the maintenance, the Gigantix actually get to their enraged phases every now and then, but pugs still are just unable to DPS enough or there are low level players joining the fight. I can't even blame the low lever players, because the game doesn't really say anywhere that they're actually being a hinderance. I dealt with the release lag and bugs and lack of content and I was willing to look past them because of all the potential NGS has, but Gigantix are honestly killing the game for me. I'll check the stream next week and see if they're planning on anything interesting, but if the next months really are going to be as bare as the roadmap makes them seem, I think I'm gonna check out and come back in a few years. Adding classes really shouldn't be their priority at this point, in my opinion.
You can actually kill them with a 5 man group. Or even with just a duo, and thats because the gigantix scale with players so if you are good and have good gear you could do it with a Party.
@@Taikomo can confirm, it's designed for 2 players minimum. Hell I almost soloed one in a back to back storm until a player decided to "help" on the bosses last chunk of hp and scaled him.

Have you heard anything about whats gonna happen to all the stuff that used to be in the fresh finds shop? There's literally no way to get it now. Its not in any of the unlimited time period scratches and its not tradeable.
I got a questions! Upgrade materials like mono duo and trin, they respawn every 24 hours right and is this account bound or just character bound? Do we have shared storage between chars on same ship? Only reason i ask is that can u have a secondary char to collect mats on to effectively double what u get?
It's almost impossible to coordinate killing these gigantix unless you're sitting there waiting with 30 people that are not afk... which is pretty rare. Super shitty when you're trying to kill it with 2-3 people and 3 level 5's show up thinking they're doing something. They need to have the meteorologist be useful in the central area and give us times when the weather will change. other than that they're probably going to nerf them to the ground in the next few weeks anyways so whats the point of stressing over them now.

Unrelated question but does anyone onow how to download or login to regular PSO2? I had a Summoner and the login is forcing me to go into New Genesis and change the class, the download links all just take you to NG and I want to play Summoner, I don't want to play NG right now. Any help would be great, can't find answers online.
Have you gotten past New Genesis's tutorial? When you 1st start the game it forces you into New Genesis. After the tutorial and other players start showing up you should be able to access vanilla PSO2. Just log out and return to the main menu. Select your ship and when you select your character, it will ask if you want to play PSO2 or New Genesis.
Well I don't see a reason to join an alliance at the moment. Just for communication there's literally no useful function in the game right now. Only PSO2 but I never used the photon buffs from the tree. Furthermore i only made bad experiences with alliances and I played the most time alone or with some friends i met. In my vision alliances are just overrated.
Personally, I haven't found the discord all that helpful in my experience so far. There's just way too many channels and too many people talking the majority of the time (even with slow chat on) that a lot of your questions will just get bumped into oblivion.
Thanks for the information but the option to scout for an alliance is still broken even after a year 🥸 but nevertheless thanks for the information, it made it a lot easier to figure out😎

how do you upgrade your alliance in NGS?

@@CFindisguise : The scaling won't kick in after the boss has spawned. Once they're there, they should be set.

how do you change name display on the top in ngs? I cant find the toggle character overhead display on quick menu like in base pso2.
It's still in the Quick Menu

There isn’t one, you can just do everything through alliance commands under communication.

It's sad to see my alliance is very inactive, maybe 3 or 4 us is the only active player in the alliance :( hate to say it but I might leave it now.
Maybe join another alliance in the meantime and play with friends from the previous alliance if they bother to log on?
