I've been following you for so many years I've lost count... but I'm always here listening to your rants because you have a view on life I really appreciate. I just know you're a nice person, in addition to being a great asmr artist !! ♡♡♡
my dad passed 2 years ago from a sudden heart attack. he was a first generation chinese immigrant, and worked so hard growing up helping my grandparents and his three other siblings run their mom & pop-hole-in-the-wall chinese restaurant. he was the first to go to college and became a very successful civil engineer. but no matter the success, he remained humble. he would pick chinese take out over ANY 5 star restaurant. this was just very comforting to me. thank you ephemeral.
Must help that it's a local place, not a chain. I'd think the main dish alone would be eight dollars, but soup and a drink? Even at the smallest sizes, that's at least ten dollars and that drink is NOT a small. Then again, I don't eat Chinese food much, so I wouldn't know the common price range. Still, that's a lot of food for eight bucks. Have to wonder about the quality.
Chinese food sauces: duck sauce is for dipping your egg roll or the wonton strips (crunchy noodles). The mustard is there to mix with the duck sauce as a dipping sauce for the egg roll and “crunchy noodles”. The soy sauce is there to put on your pork fried rice.
Love the fact you made a distinction between authenticity and integrity. Totally agree. Though what I look out for above all in others is how in-sync words are with actions. Seems to be a good yard stick for reliability. People can mean well with all honesty, and yet be completely unaware of their behaviour. Just my 2 cents. Oh, don’t know whether you’ve heard of Dan Ariely but he wrote a book a few years back on honesty in humans - or lack thereof. Good read I found very accessible.
Love your videos! I'm from the UK and I love your channel. I'm doing theology at Cambridge University and this really helps with stress aha. Your philosophy is also interesting aha. You have a way with your tone of voice and the way you control it that other ASMR artists lack.

I am currently eating a sandwich along with you. The ingredients are as follows: two pieces of toast, mayonnaise spread on one half and durkey's sauce on the other, 2 slices of ham on the mayo side and one slice of ham on the durkey's side, 3 strips of bacon split into 2 smaller pieces (resulting in 6 half pieces), a slice of American cheese on one side, a dollop of mustard, and some lettuce. Accompanied with this sandwich is a glass of milk in my cowboy boot glass that I found at a Goodwill. Great vid by the way, ER
