That's a pity. If they look inside, like you did, they will see that it is really rubbish. I have a Cress amplifier, 2 x450 and it is a lot heavier than this one. Also the trafo is much and much bigger! Keep doing the wright thing! I love it!
Thanks for sharing. I've been looking at the spl range of amplifiers including the spl500 -spl2000 on amazon. I the writing on the back says the power consumption is 420watts for all the amplifiers. I had a feeling they were lying about the output

I had this SPL 700 some years ago and I blew it up, I stored it in the loft and bought the SPL 1500 series, has worked a for about two years but is now making crackling noises , I think blown too... I may try to repair it like you said in the video. One day. I think it will go in the loft with the other broken SPL amp. I will buy a different amp Lmao

How many outputs and voltages on the secondary of that transformer? I saw this on sale for few bucks but it's not working, i was thinking maybe I can savage the toroidal transformer for other amplifiers projects.

I tested out and one side seems, ok but one side makes a crackling sound. What could be the problem here? I will follow the repair "tutorial" and try to replace these parts with better ones. And can i get a list, what you replaced for what? Much thanks!!
now i dont remember the exact parts,but u have the schematic,and check every part on bad side.Its not very dificult.I usualy start with the final transistors and folow the path to the input.

Sunetul inregistrat e rau pt ca telefonul cu care am inregistrat are microfonul stricat, in realitate nu se auzea baraitul. Eu sunt multumit de spl500eq nu stiu de unde atata propaganda negativa.
eu nu pot sa zic nimic de spl500 pt ca nu am avut,in schimb spl700 a fost o mare dezamagire pt mine.nou costa 750 lei,si este promovat ca un amplif profesional de 2x700w.In interior are un traf de 70W si finali mici aliementat la +-25v,si poate da maxim 3x35w reali.comparativ cu un amplif normal de camera cu traf de 150w alimentat la +-50V poti face singur o comparatie,ala scoate 100W reali.
@@diymariuselectro spl700 vine de la 2x350rms la fel cum si spl500 e 2x250wat rms. La mine am masurat rezistenta si sub ul este de 3.9 ohm. La 8ohm spl500 ofera 2x200rms si la 16ohm ofera 2x100rms. Masurati rezistenta la difuzor ca este foarte important. 2 boxe de 4ohm legate in paralel ofera la iesirea comuna 8ohm de exemplu

I cant tell you beacuse I sold this amplifier.but u can find the schematics on net.

Power supply toroidal 2x27V AC, the amplifier TIP41C/TIP42C per channel. Shit
cheap and low quality.
What value are the Power resister ? the colour coding is not falling the resistor colour chart .

How to get more power what chip I have to replace instead TIP41C but not changing anything, can you help i have same SPL700
u cannt take more power from that transformer.Its posibble to upgrade,but complicated.dont worth efort.

nu are cum sa ofere 350w rms cu +-30v si cu finalii aia slabi.dupa cum am zis ofera 2x40w rms maxim.
