That’s what I have. Small, not too loud, beautiful sound, wonderful smell and you can play it for hours while lying in bed. I couldn’t do that with a dreadnaught. I love this little beauty! ❤
@@DS-nw4eq : Apparently you need more context. I write music during the night. Preferably in bed. So after I bought a D-28 I immediately ordered this guitar, so I had something that was comfortable to play and wouldn’t wake up the neighbors when playing. I happen to like my neighbors. Same here, but I have the AMI version due to the price lol. Still sounds exactly as described in this video. I love it! Just wish I had Coopers playing skills to enjoy it to the fullest. 😅
Nice review! I picked up a 00-15m thinking it was a 000-15m. I had owned a 000 years ago and was one guitar I regretted letting go. My immediate impression of the 00-15m was how fun it was to play. The warmth in tone combined with the dimensions makes it hard to put down. After 30 minutes of pure joy, I had to buy it. I wasn’t planning on getting another guitar that day, but I had to have this one. It wasn’t until I got to the checkout I realized it was the 00 and not the 000. I’ve now owned it over a year and it’s my number one go-to guitar for fingerpicking and especially blues. I keep it turned a half-step down and it has the my favorite overall tone of all my guitars, including those much more expensive with more bling. Note: I’m also 6’0 with somewhat large hands and the size feels great. Perfect lap/sitting guitar.
I have this guitar with the LR Baggs SL system and it is wonderful... This guitar sounds incredible in the studio and live... It is so light and comfortable on the fretboard that I think it is missing nothing... If a luthier checks it the guitar is perfect...
I always appreciate the demos. It feels like it's the right amount of playing to show what the guitar can do while getting to the point. Some channels feels like they are more about showing off their playing than the actual guitar. That being said, Cooper is an absolutely amazing player so I should perhaps petition for longer playing by him hah
Always excellent playing Cooper! 👍🏻🤠👍🏻 I wish Martin made the all mahogany 00/000 in a scale shorter than 25.4”. The Dreadnought Jr Streetmaster is 24” and has a 1 3/4” nut to boot. Very happy with mine!
How does this compare to the Guild M-20 ? Just wondered.... Is it pretty similar in sound ? Maybe do a comparison of both the Guild M-20 and the Martin 00-15 .🎸🎸🎸🎸
I would LOVE to see a revamp of the 15 series videos! The 000-15SM is beloved in the guitar community. I own one myself, it’s my absolute favorite guitar. I haven’t seen it played or recorded as well as you have with this 00-15m. It would be an honor to not only hear you play it but what your thoughts are on the bracing, value, and what to expect as these guitars age. If you’re reading this, I believe these to be some of the best value in all wood guitars and I’ve played a lot of nice guitars. Something to think about ;)
I’ve had a Yamaha G700 for 15 years. This has been my dream guitar and I think it’s time to get it. Everything that you have touched on is exactly why I’ve always loved this guitar. Subscribed 👌👊
I have a 00-15m deep body with variegated ebony fretboard and bridge. Love it! I liked it better than my Taylor Mahogany. For 000, 000-16 streetmaster.. thanks Cooper!
I also have that version- from Empire music. Replaced the 000-15m I sold. I think it sounds (from my memory) basically the same as that one- maybe a bit less "big" but as deep and lush- if that makes sense.
Cooper, your demos are always special, especially when you're playing any Martin 15 series guitar. I have a 000-15SM. However, the 00 is kindling my GAS. Thank you.
You're a great player, man. I've got the 00015M. Also a 00028, and a Taylor GTe Urban Ash. ... love parlor guitars. Nice as the 00028 is (it's a superior instrument), the 00015M is the one I always reach for.
Super review from a player's perspective. Thank you. I bought one of these recently, and after a personal set-up, then getting used to the size, neck, etc, I have grown to like the 00-15 M very much indeed. I cannot recommend them highly enough for the tone, versatility and small-bodied intimacy. I always wanted a "little" Martin and this is it, that's after a lifetime of boomy dreads and jumbos thinking size and volume matters. Well, it doesn't. In the history of guitar making, the 00-15 would never have been considered small anyway. There's little this little fella cannot do and it does it with great style, with American made, Martin Nazareth quality all the way. I strongly recommend buying one, you'll play it for life while the others sleep in their cases.
@@davechen1426 In the short period I've had the 0015M I've changed the strings only once to D'addario XS Phosphor Bronze 12's (Light Gauge). Entirely different. The m20 is very small, more like an 0-15. It's got a very distinctly strong midrange with the highs and lows recessed. They sound fantastic. A martin of the same size sounds very neutral but with the lows rolled off. The 00-15 is significantly bigger. It's more of a concert guitar than a parlor. It rings out more or less just like a 000. I would compare the sound with my 00017. Smaller players especially will fall in love with this. I think they should make a 1"3/4 nut version. Men buy guitars more than women. Short men usually still have a thicker hands and fingers. They usually still have a thicker torso than a woman , or a youth. If they have a belly, it pushes the guitar farther away from them, and having short arms doesn't help. My point is that the market for small guitars is probably still made up of at least 50% men, so a wider neck version would be great.

The flatpicking section and thereon was more of a showcase of the tone. I think there should probably have been more, as it didn't really demonstrate too much.
Are medium gauge strings ok on this particular model or are the light gauge strongly recommended? Is it too much tension to use the mediums or ?
