Yep, Amy brought me here too. Weird how she can still draw people into her musical world and influences even now, when she's gone. This version of Don't look back is much more of a tear jerker than Noel's version.... I'd love to know what Noel would make of this if he heard it. He's never spoken much about black music. I wonder if he gets it or not?
This explains why Amy was such a phenomenal singer - she was heavily influenced by great artists. RIP Amy - talent like yours comes once in a lifetime. Lucky for me it was in my lifetime.
amy brought me here to see what influenced her way of singing carleen is just fantastic and oasis was good too but well the women win out with this song
One of the best voices around an' she's from the U.K We've got the best of everything. Almost any type of music even if it's seeded somewhere else it's grown and perfected here!an Carleen's an inspiration for whitehouse and the rest of the world should take notice
I'm a professional singer/teacher...and frankly...you wouldn't know 'real singing' if it fell on you!! This is from the heart, but in reality...you have to have one in order to recognize it. This is 'passion'...as 'Maria Callas' once said...'If you don't like my voice, then you don't like my soul I guess the useless talentless, soulless rubbish on X Factor is more appealing to you, as sadly it seems to be for a lot of people.
Watched her on Noel Soul last night what a singer she is legend got to be up there with Al Green and I'm sure Al would agree with me, Wonderfully Beautiful Amazing voice.
What a shame that some have used this superb performance as an excuse for launching stupid insults at either Oasis or Carleen Anderson. One of the beauties of great music is how it can be interpreted in many different ways, and those who do not understand this would do well to avoid simply slinging abuse. If you do not like a song, why waste time slagging it off - just find something you do like and stick with that.
what happened to the live performance video of this song? Her performance was phenomenal. She played and sang this song. This video doesn't do her justice like the other one did. While this is good, the other one was that much better. It was superb.
@cbailyes not sure what you're listening to but it certainly isnt this... this is just pure class.... her vocals are something else and she puts an entirely different slant on the track... actually, its better than the original
Love Oasis (saw them live twice before the breakup) and Carleen Anderson both - and I like to look for covers of their songs. The problem with this is it loses all the rythmn of the original song and it's not for the better at all. It meanders and adds nothing to the original. It's just not meant to be performed this way.
this is everything oasis is not about more of an x factor take on a working class anthem she better write her own tunes rather than ruining everyone else's

Thanku Amy W. for showing me this amazing talent!
Carleen Anderson pure class and one of THE most underappreciated singers ever.

saw Carleen perform this live at Ronnie Scott's in London last year... so magical it gave me goosebumps! She's such an amazing singer.
This is 100% pure GOLD. Ear candy all around.

Instead of saying Amy brought me here I say NOEL BROUGHT ME HERE!
weegeo - Carleen is from the States, but lives in the UK. Good choice Carleen! :D
me too :-)
Excellent. Could do with a tenor sax solo!
What does she sings instead of "Sally can wait?
nice
How did I get here?
@cbailyes not sure what you're listening to but it certainly isnt this... this is just pure class.... her vocals are something else and she puts an entirely different slant on the track... actually, its better than the original
I'm here for amy winehouse
You made me cry and think that 7 people has no culture at all.
does anyone have the piano chords for this?!
This version makes the original look like an amateur.
You probably even don't know who is she...never heard about Paul Weller?
Not bad at all.
Well sung - but has fuck all meaning when it comes to the lyrics. Doesn't really make sense to me.
This is abysmal!
