As someone who's trying to learn more, really appreciate these types of note-taking apps! Thanks for making these videos, Scrintal looks like a good place to start for knowledge building
Beautiful list, hope to see Taskade here in the future as we start adding better referencing and backlinking support in our tree-structured projects :)
Thank you for this review. My concern would be life cycle of all those notes\apps. Many services come and go away so you loose all your hard created notes (and ability to make connections and knowledge). The original Zettelkasten had this advantage that it was independent from whims of technology. It would be great to see portability of notes from one app to the other to prevent loss of your database.
If you're concerned about that, Obsidian is a good choice. It saves all notes directly on your computer in a normal text files and you can export it wherever you want
Hey! Thank you for your awesome channel! You have been quite helpful in finding new ways to adjust and reapproach my research work. I must say though I feel a bit overwhelmed with all of these options. I don't know how to evaluate each one of them cause it seems each has a specific (and possibly tedious) learning curve. Which would you say is your absolute must daily tool?
Beautiful video. Great graphics and showcasing of reviewed websites. How can I learn to make videos similar to this one? ... Also, please speak more slowly; people will better understand you.
Hey Shu Thanks for comparing and get me know with new note-taking apps I'll be glad if you could compare Reflect & Your Obsidian Customization Version with your installed plugins. I barely found details on Reflect online Thanks ahead :)
Hello Shu. Great video. I want to ask, is there any app where I can write quotes from different books and assign tags to these lines of quote and then call all the quotes by a certain tag, which will give me all the quotes with that tag.
Hi Shu, Mem's branding as a "workspace for teams" got me thinking; do you have have any thoughts on creating/using a PKM tool for work/teams? I know many teams have very disorganized wiki's/documentation (if they have anything at all) and for me, a PKM tool helped tame that chaos in my own notes. Still, I wonder if there would be some inherent challenges in trying to get everyone on the same page in a shared knowledge graph. How do you enforce standardized structures, combine similar ideas, remember who wrote what, etc etc. Any ideas on approaching this?
Honest question. I've noticed that you seem to use a LOT of different apps concurrently (logseq, amplenote, roam, etc from other videos). I get that you review all these for your channel, but are you actually able to productively use so many apps at the same time? I feel like using Obsidian alone is already a lot with plugins and don't think I could also work productively with other apps until I got REALLY comfortable with Obsidian.

Great video, Shu! So concisely explained, you have a gift 🙂
Thank you for such a detailed description of each app, in a short amount of time! I learned a lot with the examples and demo for each one.
Glad it was helpful Heather!

I'm interested in hearing your experiences with Scrintal, as it's an app I recently came across as well.
Thanks for this compressive list, and the concise presentation. I've been using Logseq and didn't know about the PDF reader. Gotta check that out.

Mem looks nice, I'll try that later. Right now I use Logseq to make the timeline daily note.3Q for sharing.
You’re welcome Walton🥰
This is very interesting personal information systems video. Thank you

Hey Shu
Thanks for comparing and get me know with new note-taking apps
I'll be glad if you could compare Reflect & Your Obsidian Customization Version with your installed plugins.

Thanks ahead :)
Shu, please try Heptabase asap
I Am surprised that Remnote is not on the list
Ahh! How could I forget! Remnote is absolutely amazing too💪
Hi Shu, how to make perspective in your screen video. Its very cool
It’s a plug-in called mCamRig which I believe is free🙆♂️
you said you use logseq for idea factory, why logseq and not obsidian? what makes logseq better for you?

Do you have an opinion on Craft?
have you checked out heptabase yet?
Hi Shu,

We're building Scrintal to be a visual Zettelkasten space for teams as well. If you work with a team, would love to have you try Scrintal!
Thanks for the useful video . How did you thinks about “ hepatabase” application?
I’m still on the waitlist of scrintal
I didn’t know Scrintal. I don’t know wether I’ll use it or not, but interesting approach
Yeah definitely an app to keep eyes on💪☺️
Hi, have you ever tried Remnote and Heptabase? Remnote is similar to Roam and Heptabase is sort of Scrintal alike.
Honest question. I've noticed that you seem to use a LOT of different apps concurrently (logseq, amplenote, roam, etc from other videos). I make reviews of apps which doesn’t mean I actually use them every day. I just use Logseq and Amplenote mostly.
what is the easiest to use for someone who is new to Zettlekasten method and average to poor level of tech-savyness?
I use Workflowy.
are they all free or subscription based? and are they all based on *md (markdown)?
what do u think about remnote?
Remnote is incredible! Can’t believe I forgot to include it in the list🙄
hey does napkin only work in english or also other languages?
What bookmarks app do you use the most?
When you enter the pricing area in Scrintal... bla bla bla bla... but, what is the price? how to download? God only knows.
It hasn't been released yet
Thanks for watching everyone!

How about Upnote? Anybody tried that ?
Haven’t heard of Upnote! Is it any good? ☺️
Why not even a bit note about Notion? 🙁
Wondering about the same
Backlinks are not easy visible
You should check out Remnote. I think it fits in this list.
しゅうくん、日本語でもやってよ。ワイは英語が分からんのだ
And remnote …? They don’t pay you for propaganda.? Jajajaj
Propaganda is not the same as advertisement.
