My favorite Euphoria memory from 4 is when after chasing Playboy X, he drops his gun after he's cornered in an alley. The gun hit the ground, discharged and killed him.
I encountered the same thing, it was so sad to me since he said something like "fuck... Fuck that homie..." and i just heard the shot in alley. When I came to him he was already dead and I thought he killed himself from the panic or something. That really hit me back then specially when I just checked the possibility with killing Dwayne witch is not cool
0:15 “I yield, you win.” Perhaps, my favorite feature of GTA IV, is how when enemies are depleted of their health bar - that doesn’t always necessarily mean they are dead, just that they are seriously wounded and most definitely won’t fight anymore. More often than not, after laying down for awhile, if they didn’t get shot in the head, they might still move around and even try to flee, but almost never do they go back to fight. Goes to show that the protagonist’s goal in fighting isn’t to kill, but to stop the threat. That is legally justified, as long as the protagonist wasn’t the one to initiate the encounter. Storywise, the protagonist only initiates these deadly encounters when morally justified somehow, which is subjective. However, it’s realistic to how it happens in real life with relatively reasonable people. That’s why GTA IV is the most immersive GTA.
Exactly. That was by far the single most disappointing thing about GTA V for me. If only they kept the ability to injure NPCs I could more easily forgive the toned down physics and other downgrades. In real life when a shootout happens, the number of injuries is always higher than the number of deaths. Also notice Niko’s combat lines differ based off whether they are dead or injured, like “now stay down!”, “it’s just a wound, want me to finish you off?!” vs “it’s an ugly world” or “you should have run away” if they die.
NPC being not completely dead when health low in GTA 4 is my favorite. GTA 5 disappointingly no longer has this feature, but at least Rockstar somehow brings that feature back in RDR2
The physic's are what keeps me coming back to GTA4all these years latter , Ive lost count to how many playthough's I've done of this game because its just so much fun.
2:35 That officer is REALLY dedicated to doing his job. Not even severe road rash and getting crushed under a tire will stop him. Liberty City is in good hands with such outstanding dedication to serve and protect.
Take-Two Interactive ended up owning Euphoria in a roundabout way. Developer Natural Motion did not have many licensees for Euphoria, because it was never actually a middleware plugin you could just buy, it was a hands-on partner relationship where they'd join your dev team, and the only major partners were Take-Two and LucasArts: Euphoria is integrated into Rockstar's RAGE and LucasArts' Ronin engines (Ronin is used only in The Force Unleashed games). In 2014 Natural Motion was acquired by Zynga. In 2017 Natural Motion announced they were ending new licensing of Euphoria (not that there had been any lately). In 2022 Zynga was purchased by Take-Two Interactive. Since then, Natural Motion and Euphoria no longer get a licensing credit on loading screens; Euphoria is now simply a feature of RAGE.
Easily the best feature of any GTA, it's a shame it didn't make it to GTA5. Could you imagine how much extra shenanigans we could have had in the last 10 years if it were. GTA IV wouldn't even be worth remastering if it doesn't have ragdoll.
Hoping for rockstar to make a GTA VI less arcade, there has been SO MANY videos talking about, they need to adjust their euphoria close to GTA IV, and about cars I really don't care much as long we get gorgeous ragdolls
I've had a funny moment when a Pistol that flew out of one enemy's hand fired one more bullet after landing on the ground, making another tumble and fall out of a hole in the wall. When the mission was done, I found him in the back of the Bobcat I'd taken to drive there. XD
The physics engine was so good that it sent Niko flying from a cop morphing into him from a ladder when trying to climb onto it because I was wanted and I died. And after I got revived from the hospital, seconds later and Roman wanted me to go to a strip club with him. I am never gonna be able to recreate that moment ever again.
Kind of cliche when I say 'GTAIV was ahead of its time' but it seriously was. You just don't see physics like these nowadays in gaming, they all have been made more stiff for some reason.
GTAIV's physics and the way they are should follow into VI. V was such a disappointment and ruined the experience for me. Nothing will beat IV. Great upload as per, Whatever🤟🏼🇬🇧
@cultofpersonality6140 No. They dumbed down a lot in V. That's the reality. I enjoy 4, I have no enjoyment playing V. Many people share the same view. If you like V good for you.
IV Physics are exaggerated and unrealistic sometimes , GTA V is more realistic , in gta 4 you shoot like 6 7 times with pistol and they dont die , while in gta 5 they die and its pretty realistic
Gta 4 seems to be the only game to unlock maximum potential of this physics engine❤
And still top in 2023 💯
Well there is Max Payne 3, in my opinion it's even better
RDR 1 has left the Chat
@@siegfriedschnosel5114RDR cannot show us car crash physics

And this is one of the main things that makes the game so realistic experience.

That's something I really like too 💯

Gta V still disappoints when they drop so fast but still realistic but not gta 4 realistic
This game is more immersive both emotionally and gameplay wise than other gta games
This game is STILL ahead of it's time.
0:40 we don’t have such NPC models like the granny in Gta 5 dont we?
This, the story and the executions are the best thing in this game.
and dont forget multiplayer
I first played this game back in 2014, 10 years later I'm still in love with it.
I guess rockstar games created the final ragdoll physics before gta 5 ragdoll where too heavy
Yeah
Hoping for rockstar to make a GTA VI less arcade, there has been SO MANY videos talking about, they need to adjust their euphoria close to GTA IV, and about cars I really don't care much as long we get gorgeous ragdolls
It's a good day when whatever uploads Ragdoll videos
Yesssss
To see if the ragdoll is realistic I must try it in real life with the homies
Unfortunatly games are leaving these type of physics in favor of graphics, ray tracing and textures...

I hope the GTA 6 also has this ragdoll engine
0:49 You were fairly close to the drunk stairs, fall down them while drunk, you might as well just wait until you're not drunk anymore.

2:23 one of the funniest things
0:10 is got rekt lol
I've been curious for a while now. How do you keep the in-game recorder captures footage as long as you want and not stopping randomly?
GTA 4, hands down the best game of all time.
I Like gta 5 for its online vehicles but I love gta 4 for its real life realism
Euphoria physics for GTA 6
All modern day games rockstar makes uses euphoria it’s just i like the style of gta 4s better
They haven't stopped using it. Just nowhere near as crazy as 4.
@whatever57010 Any chance we can see a video about Eddie Low’s blog, filth slayer? It supposedly updates even after he dies.
Gta IV was something else...
2:25 FREE MUSTARD lol
I wish it was like this in later games. I think it got toned down due to taxing the system
Yea GTA5 on PS3/X360 would run like shit with the euphoria version from GTA4
I love ragdoll
Kind of cliche when I say 'GTAIV was ahead of its time' but it seriously was. You just don't see physics like these nowadays in gaming, they all have been made more stiff for some reason.
Thats why gameplay wise GTA IV is better to me than GTA V. I wish they can return to this on GTA VI.
Oh fuck yeah
Love your videos

Just realized something: where the all possibilities of the missions "Civil Border Patrol"?
Nice
Rockstar should pay you efforts you put in GTA Content for all these years
Gta 4 make cyberpunk look like weak open world game lol
honestly GTA IV haven't aged bad at all (except for the compatibility issues and the multiplayer shutdown)

I also have an unmodded version on Steam (the complete edition 1.2.0.59) that just runs fine as is
