Keep at it dude , me for one knows that feeling of pain when the trip comes to an end , but remember good company and the knowing that one red letter day trip makes up for many blanks , its the unknown anticipation and adventure that keeps pulling us back ..... the push net was well cool , and lets be honest the weather has been shocking, summer has only just started ... there will be many many more adventures ahead of us ....
Luke you're the man that gives so much inspiration when things are hard going. You always see the good in every fishless trip. I've seen this 1st hand while dying off walking a 20mile walk back from the cliff tops. 🍻🍻
That was a great video, the push net was worth while, do it more often when possible, also try some short video with the push net and results, it will grab you loads of views. One last thing, I live in Chichester, next time you come down this way, get in touch, maybe I could join you for a fishing session and maybe I know something you don't know yet.
Keep at it mate luv the vids, please please please give devils point a go in Plymouth and do a video, there is plenty of fish coming out of the Tamar River day and night.
Nice one Rhys, have a good time off with Mrs Fishunter, those baby flatties looked like turbo's to me. Don't get despondent, you make a lot of people happy even if you blank! take care mate,
May have been a blank on the beach mate, but an interesting video.👏 I loved the netting and the different species in miniature.😲😀 Im sure the fishing will pick up soon, dont get so down.🤞🤞 Thanks for sharing, take care and stay safe.😷
😂😂😂😂😂 Sam Smith in his red gear wrapped up Mate I feel the same. I have the fly fishing on the river for the worlds hardest things to catch but still choose to travel to north east, north n west Scotland, Yorkshire and once found myself surrounded by southerns while standing on a rock in South Wales after a 7 hour drive after work. I've often asked myself why I go sea fishing but I still go. Don't no if its the what can I catch or just an addiction that I don't no how to handle with been sea fishing since I was 3/4 year old. I'd like to hear others on the why sea fishing. Good watching the push net and them fish in it. Ps I feel like going flattie bashing now. High tide is 3am 😢
Good video fella loves the push net that was nice to see the little baby fish especially the ray that made me laugh looked like it was smiling 😂 . Tight lines bud
I got fed up with unbreakable bait elastic and have changed to Tronixpro Baitex medium ! I like to snell the 2nd hook of a pennel rig, if you need a big hook that will not straighten then have a look at cox & rawle meat hooks size 10/0, or for circles the Mutsu range :) The best fishing is September after the kids have gone back to school, you can find somewhere to park,no one decides to swim where you are casting, and the muppets are not elbow to elbow on the beach throwing feathers all day after the mackerel have been in and gone for the day !
You want to catch Tope from the shore, come to the Isle of Man, mid July normally, Northern beaches. 4/0 hook, pully rig, or running ledger, 12 to 18 inch wire length, approx 80lb. 2 to 3 inch piece of fresh mackerel, normally caught on feathers before you switch to the Tope. When they are running, possible for half a dozen in a 3 to 4 hour session. 😊 All from the shore.
Give us a wave as you past devon on way to Cornwall Know a boat from Ilfracombe that's cheapish £45 4 hours Had some good bull huss on last trip 👌 Keep chin up that's why it's called fishing not catching
Dont go fish chasing fish if your not enjoying it. Take your kids down the river with light gear and just enjoy it again. You said most people watching are fishermen so we all understand that you get in a slump when it's hard going. Oh you also asked why we do it... for the thrill of catching a new species or pb
