Those older John Deere are in high demand and last forever. I gave my Brother my old mid 90s14SB and we put a new Blade Brake Clutch on it last year and it'll probably go another 25 years. Love my 2002 John Deere JX85.
Mowers like those were built like tanks. They dont make them like they used to. That practically looks like a commercial mower compared to what is out there today
My parents had one of these when I was a kid, my older brother got it for his first house and ran it for year, I then ran it at my first house, and now my brother is running it again as a ditch mower………

Reason that mower started is because it has a Kawasaki engine, those are practically indestructible
try that with a brigs or tecumseh
