I love, love, love adventure focused books for RPGs I love, and this one is no different. This book contains well written, well designed adventures for your The One Ring game.

I've got the 5e version, but literally hadn't looked at it until watching this video. Now I definitely want to run this. Thing is, we don't play 5e either, but I found that the 5e versions are easily converted to Castles & Crusades, which we do play. TOR 2e was just too fiddly mechanically for us.

I didnt like this set of adventures as much as the others. That said I did like it. I like the second edition, but I think it has yet to equal the first edition wilderland books for content.

If I wish to play The Lord of the Rings 5e, could I still implement the stories from this book? Or are mechanics and the differences in the systems a hinderance that would require many changes?

Hello @jamilortiz1. Great question. Because Free League currently has the rights to publish RPG material for Middle-earth they are publishing each of their books for both The One Ring 2nd edition and The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying 5e. This version entitled Tales From the Lone-Lands is written to work with The One Ring 2nd edition, but they have released the exact same adventure but for The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying 5e under the title Tales From Eriador.
If you and your players already know 5e, want to play in the Middle-Earth setting, and not learn a new ruleset then I would purchase The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying 5e core book and also purchase Tales from Eriador to get these same great 6 adventures.
      Hope that all makes sense.
I love that they are making all of these materials for 5e and non-5e GMs and players.

@@Peter-su8fd oh I didn’t know they were the same adventures, that’s great then! I don’t understand why they went with different names though. Thanks for the info!

Different names so that people would not buy the ”wrong” version.
All in all this environment works better with one Ring rules! IMHO
More things to learn, but one Ring rulesmhas been developer so tight around Middle Earth environment that it just deliver the flavour so much better.
