I'm with ya!! Love that lens!
i like slight social distance@@PeteCocoPhoto
I heard that Toneh you slipped in there......very nice.
😎
I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on the differences between this lens and the 56mm f1.2.
Yes this is a great topic for sure
Second this. I'm debating picking up one of the two to use for portrait/headshot photography. Saw your video on the Viltrox 75mm as well - the 56 mm has been on my radar a while.@@PeteCocoPhoto
You could go on a portrait shoot with a 1970’s manual focus lens and the results would be truly amazing. Beautiful work! I am glad there is a lens for everyone that gives them that special something….a lens that makes you want to shoot more.
Wow, thank you so much for this!!
I’ve always wanted to try out the 50mm f1.0. I’ll deal with the size and weight, as I used to tote my sigma 105mm f1.4 everywhere. Nice video
Thanks for watching!
An f/1.0 or f/9.5 piece of glass would be very nice .
I shoot mostly ff cameras and low light clubs is my forte.
Speed is my friend and I don’t buy into “these days we don’t need fast glass”
I do shoot the 45-46mp Nikons-Z9, d850 and a Nikon 24mp sensor will have better hight iso usage. I still am pushing the boundaries of shutter speed blur and keeping those iso numbers as low as I can . Fast primes are my friend
I love my fast primes too. Best way to shoot in my opinion!
Awesome video. I love your content - as a fellow Fuji fan boy 😅
Thanks brother! #fujiflakes unite! 😅
Saw a gal wearing this lens on her camera at an event. It was humungous!
And heavy! Lol
Very well done!!!! Top shelf
Thank you!
They made it as a flex? That’s weird to me because it has some pretty heavy CA issues. Don’t get me wrong though, I loved that lens when I had it. Would not mind owning it again.
I mean that's what I heard from some other person on UA-cam so who really knows 🤣🤣🤣
Nice trio.
Thanks brother! 😎🎻
Really awesome shots in the club. Does this give you a lot more space to move than the 56?
Thanks bud! It's a bit more roomy than the 56mm but nothing major.
It's lenses like this that defers the purpose of apsc to me. They are larger, close to FF size, and just as expensive as FF.
At this point I think I'd be happier with a f1.2 on a FF then an F1 on an apsc.
Yeah I get that but it's still quite a bit smaller than the canon 50mm 1.2 for example and a lot cheaper esp if you buy it used. It's huge by Fuji standards tho lol
On contrary it brings versatility ! I think it's excellent
Honestly, I love 56mm 1.2 WR more:)
It's an amazing lens! I had one but sent it back because I wasn't happy with the AF but I think I might have had a defective copy.
Between this one and the 75 1.2 viltrox, if you can have only one, which would it be?
Ah this is a great question! I think it's hard to compare since the price difference is so massive, but the 50mm wins for me.
Be careful with your copy of the 50mm f1.0, If possible is better to try before buying. I had 2 copies one really sharp wide open, the other very soft.
Good to know, thank you!
Unfortunately, this is the lens I hate the most. The main reason is because of its existence, Fuji did not give us the XF56mm Mk2 with linear motor AF.
Nah, this one blows and stomps the 56. In fact there is no need of the 56 anymore.
Hmmm, what's the story here? I haven't heard about this.
If the XF56mm Mk2 had LM AF, it would cannibalise the XF50mm for sure and Fuji don't want that to happen so you understand why.
@@vukhuat4251 how do you know this for sure?
I have seen a lot of review videos about this lens and most of the reviewers agree with that. Even John Branch IV sold his XF50mm to change to XF56mm Mk2. I'm sure you know that guy.
