Question, I have just bought the second fix nailer, and with a 65mm nail, it doesn't bury the head. It's proud maybe 3-4mm.... annoying! The depth gauge is at its deepest as well. And that's into 18mdf. Surely these can sink a nail into MDF??

I will check later in the morning but I’ve never set it to the deepest yet and always been happy. Just to check for you what are you firing the other 47mm into on the other side of the 18mm mdf. Phil

@@PhilipHollowaychannel okay cool. It's just one piece of 18mm MDF. I did it to test it. So surely it must be able to shoot that. I shot it into some softwood (garage door frame) and struggled as well. I just hope it's something silly as I was really looking forward to using this. I hate my paslode!!!

I have their second fix gas nailer - after 4 months of ownership and very little use the plastic magazine reload button/tensioner sheared. It’s been away nearly three months being repaired. Totally unacceptable service for a professional power tool manufacturer. I’d stay well clear if I were you.

    Hi Philip,
Thank you for the demonstration. I just ordered the NT1865DM. I noticed that you spelled the brand Hikoki. It’s Hitachi where I’m at in New England. Was that typo? Or is that what it’s known as?

Depending on region, Hikoki and Hitachi are the same.

Hitachi is now Hikoki and Hitachi are now Metabo HPT (Hitachi Power Tools) ;)

Hitachi is now rebranded to Hikoki, where “hi” means hitachi, and “koki” means technology in Japanese.
