@@piyushbasutkar8270 Well Aunt didn't seem to have problems with that to the very end. Probably would have been better for everyone if nephew never had either. Certainly so for the tv version at least.
@@likagrom6953she did write to him and he wrote back but his were less frequent. From what alicent's brother said, he turned out better than the kids she did raise.
It's a little anachronistic for me. Like sure a modern dude would say that, but in medieval times? That shit was normal, as we have well seen in GoT. I like the scene, it was well acted, but it felt like a very modern minded person erroneously writing how an abandoned son would talk to his father in medieval times.
@@toknowwhyuneed3593 the fact that this stuff was everywhere doesn't mean it didn't cause any pain and suffering. Plus Corlys just won't leave Alyn alone with his attempts to connect with him even though he himself is a noble and Alyn is essentially no one so the field is nowhere near even. Alyn's been trying his best to keep his feelings on the matter to himself but this time they just boiled over.
I freaking love how they inserted renditions of both the Stark and Lannister theme songs that make it their own personal songs but also brings back hardcore nostalgia ❤
One of the biggest mistakes the writers made was that Rhaenyra and Aegon didn’t share any scenes and dialogue before the war, that would make this conflict more tragic. Now it feels like they are two strangers fighting for the throne, when they are actually siblings.
Well, obviously. While this is a fantasy, it draws from real life inspirations. Many kings fought over the English throne hundreds of years ago, a lot of them brothers etc, and many had never seen each other before.
Tbf she was their mom's age and they where her kids age so the convo prob wouldn't have been about much lol....plus I'm sure what little time they spent in the keep together Otto and alicent prob kept them away while from her and her "bastards" while continuing to brain wash them.
@@abadownn1599 I know that but it's like he does not matter Daemon is responsible for his death so it's 1-1 to me. Alicent Lost his grandson who is gonna pay for him if the statement "A son for a son" is for Aegon and Luc?
dumb take. so aegon and helaena should kill one of daemon's children since he killed their 4 year old son? TB stans don't want rhaenyra to be held responsible for her husband's crime but she wants alicent to take responsibility for luke's death??? she's asking/demanding a “son for a son” to alicent even tho alicent didn't kill luke, it was aemond. so where do we go here??
@@eremitiavinea Well "A son for a son" is Rhaenyra statement not mine according to me they both suffered enough since Alicent Lost his grandson and Rhaenyra his son but both are not responsible for their deaths. The circle of death should end here according to me and why is she asking Aegon's head instead of Aemon's head? He is the one who killed Luc 🤨 Aegon Lost his son, his dragon and he will be crippled for life hasn't he suffered enough? 😭
I'm sure Aegon will be super thrilled that his mother is condemning him to death for the crime of being forced by her to take a throne he didn't want and not being a puppet to her. I'm sure Daeron is also thrilled that his absentee mother is selling him out to die as well for doing absolutely nothing.
It's always Alicent and never Otto to you all. She was also doing what Otto has made her do, making her believe it is what's right and what her duty to the realm that they make her son the king. That scene is her realizing all of it was a mistake and all that she had sacrificed was for nothing. And the first thing she does is go to Rhaenyra to appeal to her. She didn't went there to offer her sons but to offer an arrangement in hopes that Rhaenyra wouldn't have to kill her kids
theres quite literally a scene where she grabs hold of his face and yells “you are the challenge simply by living and BREATHING”. we, as the audience, know that otto was the one who put those schemes in alicent’s head, but aegon has only ever known alicent to be the one telling him that because otto was fired while he was still a tot and didnt come back until he was older. all aegon knows is what ALICENT told him so op’s comment is correct in the sense that it wouldve been very confusing that alicent has been telling him that him and aemond’s life (another scene too) would be in danger, but then just turn around and offer him up to rhaenyra.
That last scene where Rheanyra is shown through a slot in the bookshelf and Allicent with the wide open sky feels like, Rheanyra who was always a free willed person is not caged (set on a specific path) and Allicent who was caged has been freed! Yes, That was Cinema!
The only problem that it doesn't make any sense to show how Alicent is "free" because the next season literally starts with Rhaenyra not finding Aegon and probably imprison her 🤣🤣
Hey I know you're farming for likes so I'm sorry to point you to reality but there has just been whole season of dragon fights and burning towns to the ground
@@boohoo723 Bro you know that for budget reasons they wont show you ever single battle. This season we had The battle of the Burning Mill, the siege of Duskendale, the siege and battle of Rooks Rest, the burning of Sharp Point and they mentioned about the small battles happening in the Reach by the split houses. And one dragon fight. Again, only cuz we don't see them all doesn't mean they weren''t happening in the story. But your original joke was funny , I'm just responding to your second one.
You gotta realize the fights we will have in season 3 will cost so much money its actually bonkers cause regardless of opinions on show plot differences between this and book the animators are incredible and guarantee season 3 will be ape shit but I will say I would hope for at least a ground battle to end the season on and leave us in the air on the first true battle of the war.
@@aidanrock8719 Dragon fights the whole season? Where? I think I remember a 5-10 min fight scene in 1 episode. The rest has been lame. Call it like it is.. this was a snoozer of a season and the producers just want to keep stringing us along.
It’s funny how people boo the Lannisters even though they’re NOT those ruthless Lannisters in GOT. This is +100yrs, way back before Tywin Lannister changed their reputation. They might as well be those people on “the wall” who wouldn’t dare let the wildlings in cuz of their longtime prejudice.
Ser Simon being the exception to the rule of snitches get stitches. He's my MVP this season! Daemon getting his shit together was a highlight too. What floored me was Alicent asking Rhaenyra to run away with her. That touched me for some reason. Not a cliff hanger of a finale but it sets up S3 beautifully.
It was stupid anyway. It makes no sense for her to surrender. They just want the women to look good and the men to look like ewar hungry monsters. Alicent is a huge reason for this war and Rhae is way more violent in the books. They are just as bad if not worse than most of the guys
@@zub41r75 If you actually followed the series, it wasn't stupid at all and makes sense for her charater. And like a lot of other people have already stated plenty of times, the book isn't a reliable source of the story. As for the rest, this isn't a proof as it's not real history but still, the ASOIAF universe is inspired by it, and it's a fact that statistically men have instigated way more war than women, so it isn't far fetch at all. You're talking like it came at of nowhere.
@@mariebourgot4949 It did come out of nowhere. She put him on the throne and now she changed her mind and all the men are just evil. Saying most wars are instigated by men is so ignorant and offensive. Not to mention blatantly racist. You know why? Because the women that committed atrocities throughout history usually committed it against non-white/non-Christian men. Hence it was never recorded as a crime. Many Queens and female leaders in the past brutally genocided people. Isabelle for example who would check to see if men were circumcised and would burn them alive assuming they were Muslim or Jews. Please don't be so blatantly disrespectful and offensive to people who are not white and mention that historically women have committed the biggest atrocities next to men just they didn't do it against western men.
@@mariebourgot4949 Also no the book was clear as it was Alicents own words when she said that Aemond would come back to kill Daemon and Rhaeneyra after they took King's Landing. Just admit that the narrative made again by westerners is that women can do no wrong and men are terrible. Alicent and Rhae are both terrible Queens that have caused thousands of deaths and this was inspired by history like most of ASOIAF because GRRM is honest and smart and doesn't pander to certain audiences. It was the stupidest scene in the show
@@RahshiThompson, well, enough people have died, that’s my point. An innocent little boy was decapitated in his bed. She might not have known about it or ordered it, but it was orchestrated by her side.
I have to admit that I got real goosebumps at the ending scene, especially when 'the last of the Stark' melody began to play as the Greybeards passing through the Twins. That was absolutely epic !!!
Yep. All this talk from people about how this season sucked and the writers are idiots ruining the show. But we all know they’ll be tuning in next season and either shut up cause it’ll actually be war or they’ll just find a new excuse to dislike it
What? He strangled her at the end of the first season! She was just a means for him to get closer to the crown. But now, at the end of the second season, he genuinely wants her to be the queen. This is character development.
He may have bent the knee to Rhaenyra at the end of season 1, but he sure as hell wasn't subservient to her. He needed to reach this point. Do I think it should have taken this many episodes? Maybe not. But to say Daemon as he is now is in the same place he was then is simply wrong.
@@kgkg4118 Now you are talking nonsense, this was entirely the writer fault, I could even have written this story better, they deviated too much from the book, it was an empty season, open your eyes.
@@kgkg4118 from everything I have heard regarding book readers complaints about the show stretching things out too much, it sounds like its supposed to be nothing but dragon battles all the time and major characters dying left and right? Are we even supposed to be caring about any of these people before their demise? As a casual viewer, I have appreciated the supposedly extra time they have given us with these characters, having some vague idea of what will unfold eventually. Either way it's interesting seeing people complain about how "slow" things are now, after coming back from the extremely rushed ending of GoT.
People in this crowd saying "say it!" to alicent agreeing with a son for a son are the same one's who probably didn't agree with alicent's eye for an eye in season 1....smh
Think a couple people where trying to figure out who it was. He was mentioned like twice and unless ur a book reader/spoiler indulger they never describe his dragon. Without seeing the Hightower banner i prob wouldn't thought bout him either lol
Because daerons only mentioned once this season and tessarion wasn’t talked about at all. As soon as saw the blue i knew who it was lol. Especially since he was with the greens. Excited to see that character brought to the screen
I don't think anyone knew or was paying close enough attention to realize that was him, and that he was flying over/along with a Hightower army. I like that we at least got a sneak peek at him andTessarion in the finale before the actual up close introduction next season
What's even funnier is that apparently, an eye for an eye is a no-no but a son for a son is fair game. They're making show Rhaenyra even more of an hypocrite that book Rhaenyra and that's saying a lot.
@@marcobressi3315 Yes but she didn't punished daemon like robb did to karstark when he killed two lannister children. So basically she is supporting his terrible decision which was done without her knowledge nor consent.
In a conversation with Mysaria, Rhaenyra feared that Daemon would turn against her and she seemed to fear losing him and the war, but now she is more determined and brave enough to confront him, "and you swore to who?" she asks not happy, but thankfully Daemon proved not to be a traitor and to serve his queen who told him not to leave her again, well done Husbuncle Daemon, your place is to be loyal to your queen 👑 and love her
Thats it, I gonna Cheer for Aegon the second of his name from now on, Alicent the worst mother in tv show history, puts her son on the throne because she’s afraid Rhaenyra will put her kids to the blade, but then she gives up her kids to the same blade even daeron will be killed, Cant wait when Rhae take kings landing and aegon is not there no more, Alicent gonna suffer a lot for it
Even though Aegon and Larys aren’t good people something tells me Aegons time in exile will make him a better leader and better person. He can spend his time reading his histories. I’m rooting for him, mainly because he’s the underdog.
Not exactly. She misunderstood the whole Aegon delirium when Viserys was dying. She thought he was naming Aegon as his heir but he was talking about the Aegon the Conquerors prophecy and about the Prince who was Promised.
Book Alicent:" The city is yours, princess but you will not hold it long. The rats play when the cat is gone, but my son Aemond will return with fire and blood" Show Alicent:" YAAASS QUEEN! SLAY MY SONS!"
Her sons are already dead and she’s the one that tied them to the altar. She killed Aegon the moment she dragged him to that throne, this is just her admitting it. Book Alicent played the fool to the end.
@@nomisunrider6472 book Alicent would never sell the lives of her children and would die for each of them. Her character was assassinated and now I just hope she joins Rhaenyra in Sunfyre's last meal.
@@masterplokoon8803 A good mother doesn't set her son up for a bloody civil war. Of course the histories portray both her and Rhaenyra as mothers first and people a distant third.
So the entire crowd boos when the Lannister army is shown but cheers when Tyland Lannister shows up moments later with his new fleet. How does that make sense?
Alicent making aegon fear for his life for his entire existence telling him if he doesn’t take the throne rhaenyra will kiII him just for her turn around and sacrifice him Does Alicent not realize she and Helaena would be hostages in King's Landing when Rhaenyra takes it and also that Daeron would have to die too?
Daeron is innocent for now, Rhaenyra has no intention of killing him. Aegon is the usurper, she has to kill him for high treason, and Aemond must die for his warcrimes, but no other Hightower must be harmed if they surrender.
@@holtimt But those who believe Aegon to be the rightful heir would advance his younger brothers to replace him if he died. Therefore they would pose a threat to her rule. Also Daeron was seen leading the Hightower host which was heading north, so from Rhaenyras pov he won't be innocent for long.
@@holtimt she’ll have to kill Daeron to end Aegons line. They apparently cut Maelor from the show so Daeron will be one of Aegons closest heirs after the murder of Jaehaerys.
So according to the show, Alicent puts her son on the throne because she’s afraid Rhaenyra will put her kids to the blade, but then she gives up her kids, and brothers plans/location to rhaenyra What was the fuking point of all this?
She put him on the throne because of what Viserys said in his sleep, she had relented and was going to let Rhaenyra be queen before that happened if you recall. Only Helaena is worth saving now, she thinks Aegon wants to be dead anyways and knows Aemond is a lost cause.
it is possible for someone to regret the choices they make. Also I don't think there is evidence other than misinterpreting Viserys on why she "put her son on the throne".
@@GoliathWarfareThat doesn’t make any sense since a huge part of Alicent’s thought process was also that her kids would be in danger if Rhaenyra ever took the throne (hence showing us a scene of Otto telling young Alicent that). Making this solely about the prophecy instead is lame.

terrible move on their part no doubt... they could've easily made season 2 10-12 episodes if it was needed. I rather them delayed it a bit longer if they had to then having it end like this and have to wait 2 years+ for season 3...
Writers strike and merge with WB has entered the chat (Season 3 is going to be bonkers and back to season 1 quality writing wise) Until then we have Dunk and Egg too
This isn't the fault of the showrunner(s) nor the writers. Season 2 initially had 10 episodes and was already written, but HBO changed it to 8 episodes forcing the writers to do re-writes and effectively moving the big battle teased at the end of this season to next season. Now that the writer strike is over as well as this season, lets cut the writers and showrunner a break, and prepare for the inevitable onslaught of emotions coming in season 3.
Everyone at this bar looks so sweet and fun to hang with. I wish I knew about this place when I lived in the Midwest. Hopefully I can come visit this place someday to watch more game of thrones shows with you guys 😊😊
I actually screamed "YEAH, FUCK YOU ALICENT!"when Aegon had left before she could pull her betrayal on him. I hate Rhaenyra and Alicent so much after that scene. Aegon went became my favorite claimant as of "A Son for A Son"because goddamit it, he was a good king, a good father and he could have been better. He wanted to believe his father loved him and believed in him enough to name him the heir and he was fully planning to pay the smiths and he even wanted to give the shepherd his sheep back. I can't wait to see his return. Helaena said it's gonna happen(and I've read "Fire and Blood"(nobody say anything else)so yeah....screw Rhaenyra and Alicent, Aegon II is the best!
i wish the writers cared as much about their reunion as they did about the alicent reunion. the scene with rahenyra and daemon was so rushed and unemotional.
I abhor that Rhaenyra and Alicent scene for two reasons: 1) It's logistically impossible for that meeting to take place and 2) It completely destroys Alicent's character. 1) Alicent's journey to Dragonstone is a series of lucky circumstances. How did the Queen Dowager sneak out of the Red Keep, go down to King's Landing unnoticed, find a boat in the harbour, leave the harbour without being intercepted while the capital is under lockdown and then sail out to Dragonstone without being intercepted by the Velaryon Fleet, which is no doubt patrolling the waters since Alicent's boat would have to sail past Driftmark and there's an ongoing blockade. You'd think there would be a few ships ferrying back and forth after Rhaenyra was nearly assassinated in her bed. I also love how the guards just invite one of the leaders of the enemy faction in without imprisoning her. 2) Alicent was motivated to advance Aegon's claim because she was genuinely worried that Rhaenyra taking the throne would imperil the lives of her children. She even says to Aegon in Season 1, "You are the challenge, Aegon. If Rhaenyra takes the throne, your very life could be forefeit." So, to have Alicent agree to the execution of her children (Aemond and Daeron would also have to die) without any resistance is the highest form of character assassination. There is zero logical explanation to this 180 degree shift. The writers of this show decided to take a compelling story involving an inner-family strife and turn it into their Ao3 lesbian fanfiction, to the show's detriment. This alone proves why GRRM needed to have a creative control clause in his contract with HBO. You can't give away unrestrained creative freedom to writers intent on distorting the very basic themes of the story.
Honestly I think this was a great episode. The problem to me just seems to be primarily that there was clearly originally meant to be two more episodes to truly wrap up this part of the story from what I have heard. Supposedly budget issues and the SAG strikes affected things and are the reason this season got cut short and certain things are getting moved to season 3 instead.
SPOILER ALERT. They need Matt Smith and Ewan Mitchell to promote season 3. They weren’t going to kill them off in season 2. Their deaths will be towards the end of season 3. The early season 3 main character deaths will be Otto and the Sea Snake.
@@queenxx1690 where is the character assassination? I see people complaining about Daemon's arc in Harrenhal because they are mad he didn't immediately go back and smush faces with Rhaenyra. It feels like some people really just didn't get it at all. He still wasn't totally loyal at the end of Season 1, and had to be broken down emotionally/psychologically with the final step being the witch showing him the Song of Ice and Fire, and this would be what was needed to humble Daemon and totally reaffirm his dedication to Rhaenyra.

Alicent has gone down as one the most Butchered characters in Book to Screen. Theyve removed any and all of her villianous Attributes at the cost of beating us over the head with the message of "women in Westeros are marginalized" but the truth is she is so weak and useless to the Green faction to the point that they literally have to make her sabotage her own faction and her own family just because shes not in power. Jesus christ i hate Alicent in this show, especially compared to her Book Counterpart who was without a doubt the heart of the Green Factions rise to power. How is Cersei a better mother in comparison to Alicent?
Maybe she’ll turn over a leaf upon knowing Aemond is dead and Aegon is no where to be found. It will give her hope to stand as regent again when Otto comes back as hand… who knows in season 3
i guz we will not have this line "Bastard blood, shed at war," Alicent replied. "My son's sons were innocent boys, cruelly murdered. How many must die to slake your thirst for vengeance?"
A whole season of talking in circles, walking around & half-heartedly planning a war. GRR martin was talking about this all along. RIP Rhaenys, the Cargylls & Jaehaerys for carrying the season, the Queen who did something, the Guard against deluded writers & the Prince who died for filler Hope all those fans who told us to be “patient” are eating their words & seethe for another 2 years. So much for S1 being the build up to the “Dance of Dragons”. Incoming “But you just want battles” fans who cant recognize bad writing, with evidence from the books, author & even GOT. we just want character relationships that make sense, basic plot progression, and a vast fantasy world to not relegate characters to single locations for hours on end. To recap: Rhaena spends 2 episodes running round a mountain Daemon finally gets his shit together We are reminded of the insignificance of the White Walkers & GOT ending Rhaenyra stays complaining in a castle while romancing the White Worm (wasnt in the books) Jace stays mewing & complaining after doing only 1 significant thing for the cause Dragonseeds have dinner? Tyland screws a genderbent Lohar to get Triarchy (which I actually dont mind shes good, 1st big thing), but it was supposed to be Otto Aegon leaves Kings Landing (only accurate & 2nd big thing) Queen Halaena spoils the show Corlys gets humbled Team Black is just HANDED Kings Landing?? Somehow Alicent gets to Dragonstone WITH NO CONSEQUENCE just like Rhaenyra did at Kings Landing They are STILL talking about preventing war after deaths of 2 sons, Rhaenys death, multiple slaughters, Cargylls death, and saying "It is time to fight or die" all season Finally we are edged with the Battle of the Gullet, which should have been the finale if not for filler, and which they lied about in trailers. Compare this to GOT which by season 2 we got iconic scenes like Bran falling, Roberts death, Jaime v Ned, Neds death, Robb capturing Jaime, Theon capturing Winterfell, Arya in Harrenhaal & Faceless Men, Dothraki, Birth of Dragons, Dani in Qarth & the House w visions, Jon killing Halfhand and joining Wildlings, Bran & Rickons escape, Death of Renly via Melisandre, White Walkers at the Fist, and the damn BATTLE OF BLACKWATER No wonder GRR Martin called out writers like this for trying and failing to subvert source material. “No matter how major a writer it is, no matter how great the book, there always seems to be someone on hand who thinks he can do better, eager to take the story and ‘improve’ on it,” Martin added. “‘The book is the book, the film is the film,’ they will tell you, as if they were saying something profound. Then they make the story their own. They never make it better, though. Nine hundred ninety-nine times out of a thousand, they make it worse.”
It's a 4 season show. All will eventually be revealed. We need to have patience and respect the narrative. Also, GOT took a long time to set up the narrative and should have been even longer at 10 seasons plus, except Dumb and Dumber stuffed up. Also, as someone else posted, the show was affected by the SAG Writers' Strike and this is a reason for the shortening of the season. So many shows were affected by the strike.
@@galex5060 No reason to respect the narrative when theyve already changed so much from what GRR intended & are clearly dragging it on. Read my comparison to GOT by season 2
Say about him what you want but there is one fact Deamon is the greatest character in this show, yes he,s evil but good at the same time that is the definition of gray character
“you have so much to do, and i have nothing ahead of me “ Rhaenyra and Alicent have switched places at the end. It is now alicent who wants to see the wonder of the narrow seas, eat cake, be free from duties bestowed by her father, and is no longer driven by religion; and it is rhaenyra who is now confined by history (and will soon be just another paper scroll), crushed by duties bestowed by her father, and clings onto a god/messiah complex.
alicents character was destroyed with that last scene. her wanting to run away & sell out her children goes against everything they did with her character in season 1
@@vivien8417i think it was perfect. she is a human after all that feels guilt, empathy, and reminisces about her mistakes and her life before queendom. now she has realized that she was only the product of the manipulation from her father, and that she basically though she had no choice but to do what she was told. but now she knows that is not the path she or her daughter must pursue, and they can be free and they can make their own decisions instead of being used as puppets. I think it’s the best depiction of alicent coming full circle that they could’ve done
That ending montage was incredible. The camera movement, the pacing of each scene, the classic Ramin Djawadi score. Say what you will about the overall season, but moments like THIS? Just too good.

@@toknowwhyuneed3593 the fact that this stuff was everywhere doesn't mean it didn't cause any pain and suffering.
@@GreenFalcon926 Ofc but I still think it would make the story better and make this war more tragic. They did grow up in KL together after all.

dumb take. so aegon and helaena should kill one of daemon's children since he killed their 4 year old son?
TB stans don't want rhaenyra to be held responsible for her husband's crime but she wants alicent to take responsibility for luke's death??? she's asking/demanding a “son for a son” to alicent even tho alicent didn't kill luke, it was aemond. so where do we go here??
He is not Alicent son
@rogue8059 And when Rhaenyra says "Nah, I'm totally still gonna kill your kids" then what does Alicent do? Agree to it.
Bro I died laughing 😂. Almost made me call my mother to confirm she'd never do this. Especially since I'm the Daeron child in this situation
theres quite literally a scene where she grabs hold of his face and yells “you are the challenge simply by living and BREATHING”. we, as the audience, know that otto was the one who put those schemes in alicent’s head, but aegon has only ever known alicent to be the one telling him that because otto was fired while he was still a tot and didnt come back until he was older. all aegon knows is what ALICENT told him so op’s comment is correct in the sense that it wouldve been very confusing that alicent has been telling him that him and aemond’s life (another scene too) would be in danger, but then just turn around and offer him up to rhaenyra.
op’s comment is talking about aegon’s perspective in the situation and how he views it, not alicent’s

Fax. these Lannisters are soft. Glad Tywin made people fear the Lannister name
The Stark's theme understandably makes everyone feel safe.
When you see adults enthusiastically waving fluffy dragon toys, you know a drama has truly captivated its audience, a delight.
Rhaenyra will think Alicent betrayed her by letting Aegon go so he wouldn't be executed
8 episodes for Daemon to reach the same conclusion he reached at the end of the first season 😅
What? He strangled her at the end of the first season! She was just a means for him to get closer to the crown. But now, at the end of the second season, he genuinely wants her to be the queen. This is character development.
It's not the writer's fault. HBO wouldn't give them the budget to do the story right, so they had to stretch storylines and include tons of filler
@@holtimt But those who believe Aegon to be the rightful heir would advance his younger brothers to replace him if he died. Therefore they would pose a threat to her rule. Also Daeron was seen leading the Hightower host which was heading north, so from Rhaenyras pov he won't be innocent for long.

What was the fuking point of all this?
She put him on the throne because of what Viserys said in his sleep, she had relented and was going to let Rhaenyra be queen before that happened if you recall. Only Helaena is worth saving now, she thinks Aegon wants to be dead anyways and knows Aemond is a lost cause.

Thanks for appreciating this episode and this season. You are a breath of fresh air amongst HOTD fans online who are normally just toxic AF
That shot at the end for both Queens gave me chills all over my body. What a magnificent shot.
From what I understand with the drain stuff and big battles we got they could afford to do more this season so they had to push to 3

What a damn season! Great ride watching the bar reacts this summer. Can’t wait for Hedge Knight series
Actually cregan stark was there in e8 and he was leading winter wolves in the end but the creators removed his clip I don't understand why they did
Because he wouldn’t be leading the winter wolves with winter beginning in the North. He needs to stay home to guide his people through the Winter.
That's good, he wasn't with the army until much later in the war. The Winter Wolves were led by Roddy the Ruin Dustin.
Its a good thing they cut him out.
Xoxoxoxo ❤❤❤❤❤ no Game of Thrones - no House of the Dragon without your reactions! Thank you all 🌸
Alicent has gone down as one the most Butchered characters in Book to Screen.
Wish I was there for the finale, I almost fell asleep watching at home but this looks like it made the episode exiting.
Thanks for the extra helping and a great season Sean!
Blue flannel beard guy at the bar has had my heart since GoT season 5.
ALL HAIL AEGON THE REALM’S DELIGHT ❤❤❤
Love the cheers for the Winter Wolves and the boos and hisses for the Lannisters. We know who the real good and bad guys are!
That whitewalker was Ed Harris, and no one can convince me otherwise.
Thank you for doing these!! They are SOO fun to watch!
A whole season of talking in circles, walking around & half-heartedly planning a war. GRR martin was talking about this all along. RIP Rhaenys, the Cargylls & Jaehaerys for carrying the season, the Queen who did something, the Guard against deluded writers & the Prince who died for filler
Hope all those fans who told us to be “patient” are eating their words & seethe for another 2 years.
To recap:
Rhaena spends 2 episodes running round a mountain
Daemon finally gets his shit together
We are reminded of the insignificance of the White Walkers & GOT ending
Rhaenyra stays complaining in a castle while romancing the White Worm (wasnt in the books)
Jace stays mewing & complaining after doing only 1 significant thing for the cause
Dragonseeds have dinner?
Tyland screws a genderbent Lohar to get Triarchy (which I actually dont mind shes good, 1st big thing), but it was supposed to be Otto
Aegon leaves Kings Landing (only accurate & 2nd big thing)
Queen Halaena spoils the show
Corlys gets humbled
Team Black is just HANDED Kings Landing??
Somehow Alicent gets to Dragonstone WITH NO CONSEQUENCE just like Rhaenyra did at Kings Landing
They are STILL talking about preventing war after deaths of 2 sons, Rhaenys death, multiple slaughters, Cargylls death, and saying "It is time to fight or die" all season
Finally we are edged with the Battle of the Gullet, which should have been the finale if not for filler, and which they lied about in trailers.
Compare this to GOT which by season 2 we got iconic scenes like Bran falling, Roberts death, Jaime v Ned, Neds death, Robb capturing Jaime, Theon capturing Winterfell, Arya in Harrenhaal & Faceless Men, Dothraki, Birth of Dragons, Dani in Qarth & the House w visions, Jon killing Halfhand and joining Wildlings, Bran & Rickons escape, Death of Renly via Melisandre, White Walkers at the Fist, and the damn BATTLE OF BLACKWATER
No wonder GRR Martin called out writers like this for trying and failing to subvert source material.
I didn't have a problem with the pacing. The only real issue to me is just that this season was clearly missing two more episodes
Whoever brought the Barbie Rupunzel, I love you 😂💓💓
Lmao how they still cheer on Daemon at this point is beyond me. Dude is a narc, cheater, murderer and got a baby beheaded 🤣🤣
He’s fake and average viewers who aren’t chronically online to obsess over the fake things fake people are doing actually enjoy tv. hope that helps :)
He never cheated though
It’s cuz they’re all team black.
Say about him what you want but there is one fact Deamon is the greatest character in this show, yes he,s evil but good at the same time that is the definition of gray character
"but he's hot!"
They don't think much beyond that
Daemon's vision of the future was EPIC. Also I loved Phia Saban performance (who plays Heleana). Catch up in 2 years bar! 🥰
“you have so much to do, and i have nothing ahead of me “
Rhaenyra and Alicent have switched places at the end.
It is now alicent who wants to see the wonder of the narrow seas, eat cake, be free from duties bestowed by her father, and is no longer driven by religion;
and it is rhaenyra who is now confined by history (and will soon be just another paper scroll), crushed by duties bestowed by her father, and clings onto a god/messiah complex.
alicents character was destroyed with that last scene. her wanting to run away & sell out her children goes against everything they did with her character in season 1
It's my dream to watch any episode with y'all. Love you all bros and sisters.
Happy to spend another season watching this bar react to this great show!!
On to 2025!!
2026 actually lol
@@TheTonyEntertainment "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" is currently scheduled for late 2025.
@@rafm3068 but this is House of the Dragon
@@TheTonyEntertainment I think Sean said they will react to that series next year also.
Rhaena- I may have lost 3 kids but I gained a Dargon 😂
I can feel the love for my girl Rhaena in this reaction! 🖤🖤😩
Yes. Would have loved to see her bond that dragon!
Your girl left 3 heirs to the trone and 4 dragons eggs alone in the vale. Worst carácter from the series
@@JoaoOliveira-ov1kcfck them kids
@@JoaoOliveira-ov1kc f them kıds lmao
That ending montage was incredible. The camera movement, the pacing of each scene, the classic Ramin Djawadi score.
Say what you will about the overall season, but moments like THIS? Just too good.
Stupid scene only music was good

Yaaaaay! 🤍
*already waiting for season 3, we'll be here! You better be ready, Sean! chop chop*
25:30 Everybody loves the Starks! 🐺
I hate them constantly hyping the white walkers, we know already they were not a big deal and were wiped out in the first major battle.
I'm not so interested in the white walkers neither. But in my opinion, they were a big deal and they were in more than just a major battle.
Great reactions guys. While the episode was a massive blue ball as a finale, the feeling watching it with this crowd was great! See you next time!
Last scene was like chess but the whole board shuffles
