I love Clash! Westeros is my favourite world in fantasy hands down, there’s so much to get into, I could read a 2000 page book on the history alone! I’ve only read the first two books but I will continue at some point next year, I’ll probably start again to be honest lol! Also the Varys impression is spot on 😂
There isn't a Fantasy world I've thought about or am invested in more than Westeros, even though I've found series I love just as much if not more than ASOIAF, GRRM for me is the gold standard of worldbuilding.
I agree.. I've always thought that the world itself is my favourite of the lot. And I love Middle Earth, but I don't know, Westeros and Essos etc, the histories and how he weaves them into the current story. It's masterful
Clash is as far as I got back in the day when I was obsessed with the show during its peak. I need to do what you're doing, reread and continue. The Varys bit at the end. 🤣
I read the whole series before the shows came out and began a reread this summer although only read the first one, now your review makes me want to dive into this one soon! Really well thought out and interesting review. Thanks.
Great video, Carlos! I have read House of the Undying 7 times and still don't care for it. But I'm glad you do 😂 in general the prophecies and dreams are just absolutely NOT what I'm around for in ASOIAF which is funny because it's what you latch onto most. But what's important is we both recognize how good Martin is! Love your thoughts on Sansa, totally agree
Great video Carlos! Sansa really shined in this book, and Tyrion is one of my all time favorites. I was disappointed they dropped a lot of the direwolf storyline in the show too. Especially the warging aspect.
I love that you love Sansa. She gets a lot of hate, but she's a little princess who is dealing with cognitive dissonance on an incredible level. She's tough. Cheers Carlos, I'm stoked you're enjoying it. p.s. you're a treasure. we need more Varys.
Thanks so much Derri! ❤️ Sansa is such a brilliant character, and far more subtly feminist than Arya. It's a great balance between the two that he wrote Varys will be back haha
I love your take on Sansa. She is a fascinating character. Watching this makes me think its time for a reread. Great video.
Yay thanks Angela! Go reread.. it demands to be read!

Yeeeah I'm super glad I came back to them. Read Fire & Blood man, you'd love it! It's sooo good. Just 800 pages of pure lore

Tyrion is so enjoyable! Wonderful creation. And yesss the direwolves are so important
Yeah I had a very similar experience…just couldn’t put this one down and always wanted to get back to it when I wasn’t reading. A perfect book 2!
And the Tyrion chapters here might be some of my favorite chapters in the whole series
Yessss Ben! Tyrion is such a joy to read, both narration and dialogue
