A firesuit and a cup of coffee is a superior space suit than basically any modsuit because you can heal through it and you can take it off instantly to be able to run full speed. Modsuits are cancer. You can add 20 different utility mods for various purposes and they still would be barely used if hardsuits were available.
I'm under the impression that they were designed that way to reduce powergaming. This is much in line with how insulated gloves give thick fingers. I surmise it was probably because of the fact you could quick equip hardsuits and fuck off into space when being attacked so there was the impression that was a balance issue by whatever coder was responsible for directing the hardsuit removal.
@@jamesdow211 no shit. The coder and the headcoder both were under the impression that hardsuits were a problem and that problem needed to be solved by nerfing them into the ground. My point is, they were wrong. Hardsuits were never a problem. They were quick to put on, yes. But they also had slowdown already as a disadvantage. Powergamers alraedy didn't use hardsuits most of the times, opting for helmet and vest. The insuls were nerfed to "encourage" the use of other types of gloves.
The worst part of that was the sabo-borg, that was just sad to see. Like your allowed to suck at the game but if you really have no chance of even locating T-comms or the AI sat, tell your team mates instead of making them wait 20 mins for you to locate solars then die without a word. Moral is don't rely on other people to fuck up for you.
This might be a little late, but the armor booster module basically makes you really fast, and almost doubles your bullet, melee, and laser resistance in return for not being immune to pressure (when the module has a green box around it). So when its off, you have less resistance to damage, but are immune to the effects of space.
Welcome to the sad reality of MODsuits, where you have to enjoy the inventory management - the most boring part of the game ( I think Fikou is a Tarkov lover ). Right click on 'parts deployment button' to deploy/undeploy all parts instead of one part. Right click on ''activation' button to activate the suit without confirmation. You can pin module activation buttons to the main screen. Useful for 'armor booster', holster, jetpack and similar shit.
@@fikou_ i love tarkov dont get me wrong but it doesnt fill me with half as much pain as using modsuits. i know you worked hard on modsuit and I'm not bashing the effort because it is fairly well made but my main issue with it is how fucking clunky it is. the addition is so backwards in my eyes like ss13 over the years has got progressively EASIER to play due to streamlining and cutting out half the bs. if i wanted to play ss13 time warp id go play /vg/ but i don't play that because its shit
Wow, what the fuck is happening to TG!? why isnt all the extra shit just add-ons or something for the syndi-suit? why does everything have to be a fucking PDA?
It's literally seven button presses to turn it on, not two (one to bring up the UI, 4 to deploy, 1 to press the activate and another to confirm activation) and then you need to take off whatever clothes you have that would otherwise make you unable to wear the suit like a hat and now you have less inventory space to work with. This is why I always just powergame and have a jacket/firesuit + coffee and internals prepped in case I need to do some space walking in an emergency situation.

Just what I needed for my combat space suit - a clutter of buttons and a UI with a book's-worth of text.
You know you can simply right click the icon to unequip all of it rather than each individual piece of equipment right? lol
There really was no need to get rid of hardsuits. Just have modsuits be a more powerful option with larger downsides in certain areas.
I was really hoping for modsuits to be like a power armor, instead we got clunkier hardsuits that give you zero defence.
@@greenfire575 ya, biggest flop of 2022 IMO.

You failed because you used the mod suit instead of the syndicate space suit, don’t let the coders control you.

Damn bro that healing montage went hard, you should do more of those. Also, nice to see assault pod being used.
Use the pin button to get armor booster to be a hud icon like the old hardsuits. Or just use the modsuit hotkeys. Get with the times old man.
