- This video is about the complete experience we had in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Is Buenos Aires worth visiting? We spent a day as tourists in Buenos Aires, Argentina and this is what happened. There are so many things about Argentina that totally shocked us as foreigners traveling here for the first time. In this video, we share with you our first impression of Buenos Aires, also we show you some of the most amazing places to see, the neighborhood you should not miss, where to visit in Buenos Aires and more.
BREAK-DOWN : Where We Visited In Buenos Aires ⬇⬇
1. San Telmo : San Telmo ("Saint Pedro González Telmo") is the oldest barrio (neighborhood) of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is a well-preserved area of the Argentine metropolis and is characterized by its colonial buildings. Cafes, tango parlors, and antique shops line the cobblestone streets, which are often filled with artists and dancers. A street named the "Illuminated Block" is where many of these important historical buildings can be found. San Telmo's attractions include old churches (e.g. San Pedro Telmo), museums, food halls and stalls, antique stores, and a semi-permanent antique fair (Feria de Antigüedades) in the main public square, Plaza Dorrego. Tango-related activities for both locals and tourists are in the area.
2. La Boca is a working-class area and some of the most vivid, colorful neighborhood of Buenos Aires with a cluster of attractions near the Riachuelo River. Steakhouses and street artists surround Caminito, a narrow alley flanked by brightly painted zinc shacks that evoke the district’s early immigrant days.
ABOUT BUENOS AIRES:
Buenos Aires (/ˌbweɪnəs ˈɛəriːz/ or /-ˈaɪrɪs/) is the capital and largest city of Argentina. The city is located on the western shore of the estuary of the Río de la Plata, on the South American continent's southeastern coast. "Buenos Aires" can be translated as "fair winds" or "good airs" Buenos Aires is the fourth-most populous metropolitan area in the Americas, with a population of around 15.6 million.

Hi, We are Jimmy and Tah,
American and Thai Millennials left the career in military and finance to become full-time travelers, documenting our memories along the way. Met in August 2015 in South Korea, kicked off traveling in September 2017 with $4000 in a savings account and first started publishing our journey on the way we live the life we have always dreamt of - traveling and being able to work wherever we love ( as long as there is Wi-Fi and coffee)

As an architecture student, watching this made me want to visit BA for its architecture!! 🇵🇭🇦🇷
BA is an extraordinary city with the most beautiful architecture, people and outstanding food. Thanks for bringing me back.
We really loved it here!
An european city un South América that"s amazing.and the trains stations too.
People? hahahahh lol im from argentina and the people not good
@@angel121174 So sad you think like that Lorena... theres all kinds of ppl living here.
This woman gives the best tour, super knowledgeable but not boring or condescending.
It was an incredible tour!
I noticed how good she was too.
Los estadounidenses son muy educados y amables! Los felicito por ser tan buenas personas y también son muy generosos.
So much travel inspiration here! The vibes are so chill in Buenos Aires. Hope to visit Argentina in the sunny future 🙌💯☀️🇦🇷
It really is incredible here!
Divert Living absolutely 🙌💯
Buenos Aires is amazing like few citiea in the world
Definitely makes us wanna visit Buenos Aires even more! So colorful
Right! We want to visit again as well!
Buenos Aires looks like a lot of fun. Tons of parks, awesome markets and day drinking!! Another great videos guys.
It is an amazing place!
I really enjoyed your videos of BA we visited in 2007 and had a great time, people so friendly, food so great wonderful vibe in the city , hope you can get travelling again after the pandemic is over. xx Love you guys
Its an incredible place!
Hurry back guys
Really enjoying this series. Spent most of February, 2007, in Argentina with my Thai gf. Bringing back some nice memories.
Thank you so much! Its a beautiful place!
Great highlight of BA on a Sunday. Fun fact: Dulce de leche is a milk based product and caramel is butter based. That’s why it is creamier and smoother than caramel
Thats why its so good!
What a cool and interesting place. A lot of history and culture. Thanks for pointing out the details especially the transportation. And great fun facts! 👍
We hope these videos can help everyone!
Argentina is awesome!! 👍👍
We really love it here!
rich culture 💃🏽❤️ intriguing place
Such an incredible place!
Very interesting video, what a beautiful culture and good vibes, wish I could visit this someday. Great video guys!🧡
Thank you! Its a place full of incredible history!
Guys, this is the second video from you I watch. You have never read or investigated anything about the city. All the public transportation in Buenos Aires and its metropolitan area works with the SUBE card. Only taxis are payed in cash, or only sometimes, with credit/debit cards. Quinquela Martin didn't paint the buildings of La Boca (the mouth, of the Riachuelo). The buildings, mainly poor people houses, where painted with the remains of the paint used in ships, so they mixed the colors. There is a confusion with Ellis Island. That island was the customs and inmigration facility of New York. Similar buildings in Buenos Aires are located near "Darsena Norte" with buildings made for the inimigrants. There the inmigrants could rest for several days while they found a job and where to live. La Boca was a low land, near the ports, with many inmigrants, specially from Genova (Italy) and therefore very related to ships.
In buses you press a button near the door to ring a bell to ask for the next stop. In the case of line 29, it doesn't ring and only turns on a red light in front of the driver.
Dulce de leche is not caramel (which is only sugar), but milk, sugar and a little vanilla boiled for a long time till the milk turns brown and gets thicker, like a jam.
In Argentina there is no law for drinking in public. You don't need the brown paper bag to hide the bottle.
I couldn't have put it better into words.
And may I add, they came to visit a country in which not a lot of people speak English without knowing little or no Spanish
Beautiful city! Thanks for bringing us along! ❤
Of course! Thanks for watching!
Your fixer really knows the city and the culture. Im from argentina.
She has lived there for over 10 years :)
Thank Buddha you're still publishing video's.
Got my DL shirts and hoodies, super comfortable and quality stuff. 👍🏼
Thank you so much for the support! We are so happy you like it!
Great video !! Buenos Aires is amazing....
Thank you! It really is an incredible place!
Beautiful City indeed!
Love it!
Amazing vlog! Can't wait to see the Brazil videos! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
The Brazil series is going to be our best one yet!
Hello Tah and Jimmy, Nice video like always. 👍🏼 Greeting from Arnhem Netherlands. Stay safe. 😷
Thank you so much!
13:44 Depends on the state, depends on the city, depends on the street, depends on the festival! 😉 We're not that homogeneous in the U.S.
I have watched all the videos you making. Great job. Greeting from Colombia!
Thank you so much!
Hola chicos!!
Dulce de leche is life!
And baby beef and the pizza the Best of the world And the fetuchini pastas And the wine amazing etc. B.A the best
and the best way to get fat quickly 🤣🤣🤣
Buenos Aires and Miami mis ciudades favoritas
Malfada is the most famous comic in Spanish language, virtually every Spanish speaking person knows her and i seriously recommend anyone to check it, fortunately now a days Malfada has been translated to many languages including English.
Mafalda jaja
❤️Mafalda
Glad you still remember Philippines❤️
Definitely on my hit list , if there’s no quarantine I’m interested
Ordered two of your new clothing lineup, too bad I couldn’t get them autographed - 😁😁😁. Maybe if our paths crossed as we finally return to traveling around this amazing world we live in that can happen as those will be part of my traveling attired 😁😁
We are hoping that we will be able to stock our own merch one day and sign every piece!
I'm surprised to see a Philippines Jeepney in your video... Mabuhay!
Dulce de leche is probably best described as a milk jam, not caramel. The sugar and milk is slow simmered to achieve that goodness 😮 In a caramel the sugar is cooked to golden brown before adding the cream... So there's another difference between Dulce de leche and caramel, DL is made with whole milk... Dulce de Leche is best enjoyed with a spoon and comfortable chair to sit down on 😁👍
Its so so good!
@@DivertLiving make pancakes and top with bananas and Dulce de Leche
Out of all the counties you've been too. Which country did you like the best and see as having a home base? I know it's difficult to decide because every country has something unique to offer, but there has to be that one country you really love. For me it's Thailand, but would also not mind living in Netherlands or Japan. What about you guys?
Its hard! I havent been everywhere yet!
Hi dude, I am passionate on video/photo gear. Would you be kind and tell me what model of camera is that one hanging on your shoulder. Are you using it for shooting pics or video as well?
Aguante argentina papa
I grew up around the corner from that market, playing around that feria... The facts were a little wobbly but the video looks great. A very different, sad sight right now...
If you go to South America you must go to Argentina and Brazil.
So true!
Hi !! Thanks for show my country!! Creo que lo escribí bien 😊😊😘
Sería "showing" en lugar de show. ;-)
Both "Tango" and "Filete porteño"(that advertising art) are Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO)
I walk and drink just fine in New Orleans ;)
LOVE BA!
You missed the most beautiful Argentina..
You've only seen the tourist spots. Real Argentina is located outside Buenos Aires. Santa Cruz, corrientes, salta (la linda) , Jujuy, tierra del fuego, Córdoba, San Luis, Entre ríos, la Patagonia.
You've missed out on the best 😬
Look this intro of.. ua-cam.com/video/LiKW2ruKXfk/v-deo.html
These people didn't do one ounce of research before they traveled to Buenos Aires. I lived in Buenos Aires for nearly 10 years.
Great, happy videos, as usual, considering the horror being experienced in the northern hemisphere, where things are not hopeful. Many 000s of people dying every day. You better take care of yourselves.
Aww i know things are bad around the world but these videos were filmed months ago and now we hope they are bringing everyone some distraction and peace
I saw the huge lens you all are using on your camera (the one jimmy was holding), what type of lens is it? do you all only use it for photography?
We use it for video and photo. All our gear is linked here divertliving.com/resources/our-gear/
Divert Living awesome thanks
Buenos Aires is really a beautiful City and the building colors are amazing, but I'd like to see the poor part of the City to see how is the street, houses etc. I mean, I wanted to see if the poor city's are clean like the capital city.
It is not lol (I’m from Buenos Aires)
Maradona looks too happy in 14:33 😅😂
hahahhaha
Did you visit the Boca Jr's stadium?
Where I live in New Orleans people freak out when they find out we can drink anywhere on the streets.
Its so crazy! I can see that it would be fine in New Orleans hahah
Divert Living for sure it’s Mardi Gras all the time well except right now with this virus!
Also in Vegas, at least on the strip.
Í want a video from Colombia
Argentinians people are cool
Joaquín Salvador Lavado Tejón "Quino" Mafalda's creator died on September 30th 2020.
Uber over subway :)
We like taking the subway sometimes!
When was this filmed? I assume its not during covid, I see no mask.
But, as Sir Laurence Olivier asked Dustin Hoffman, "Eeesszz it safe?"
Generally speaking yes. You should have to be aware of pickpocketing especially in very crowded areas. There are some neighborhoods( like la boca) that can be dangerous at night, but that's it. Its pretty safe.
How tall are you guys
Did you hear that guy say "puta"? hahahaha
Most likely haha
He said "hijos de puta", "sons of bitches".
The opposing team was probably on the other side of the road.
How come you didnt go to Uruguay?
We didn't have time this trip
💙Uruguay
Boca💙💛💙 why didnt you go to La Bombonera
Im not sure:( We must have missed it!
What do u prefer Mexico city or Buenos aires?, be honest
Buenos Aires no hay duda
I am Mexican and want to go Argentina. Land of Sandro, Monzon, Gardel, Batutista, Messi and Evita Peron
Alex Martinez I want to visit both cities as they both have great history and architecture, but I prefer Buenos Aires as it has less people and pollution. Buenos Aires reminds me more of Europe than New York as they mentioned in the video. For me it looks more European than American. Actually the more south you go in South America the less it looks like an US city (Santiago, Buenos Aires, Montevideo as for example).
Buenos Aires is much better than Mexico City.
Mexico City imo has by far much more culture, history, and the city seems to be more alive, but Buenos Aires has its charms too
You missed visiting the "villas..... It's the best in buenos aires
I guess we did!
Actually, they're as interesting and awesome as your home!.
"this is the way we buy things"...*points to a black man* AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH
LOL Argentina has one of the worst economies in the world right now. Saludos Amigos!
H L, chileno envidioso!!. Aún así BA es una de las ciudades más lindas del mundo. La ciudad de BA tiene la mayor cantidad de librerías del mundo por habitante y la mayor cantidad de teatros. Una ciudad con un alto nivel cultural como no hay en el resto de América.
Argentina is beautiful but richest country ? i dont think so
Not right now my friend. In the past it was considered that
@@DivertLiving yes thank you, it was the worlds' farm
In the past, not now.
Great reporting. But what happened to all the high level Nazi Leaders who fled Germany to Argentina to a new life after WW2. YOU GUYS ROCK.
Eh, I think all of them are dead? I mean, it's been more than 70 years.
You both spreading coronavirus, traveling... dislike. Stay home... sure you are younger a vector of contagious non- symptoms
Dude this video is over a year old hahaha
You can drink in Vegas in the streets.
