The problem with national discourse about Kashmir is that the citizenry that has never and probably will never step on its soil has very strong opinions about anything and everything Kashmir We refuse to sympathise or empathise even and yet have expectations about how they should see what is happening around them. State sponsored violence is not just in Kashmir. It has happened in most other counties and will happen whenever state is given a free hand to apprehend arrest kill whoever they want. India does extend in between Kashmir and Kanyakumari but that does not mean we must have the same attitude towards both.
I wish I could like this comment zillion times, thank you for bringing in nuance to the discourse on Kashmir, I wish more people could come to terms with it. A heartfelt thanks from a Kashmiri.

Let me explain you why there is strong opinion about kashmir, kashmir was and is same as rest of India, sub nationalism exist in every part of India but not to an extent that it takes shape of militancy, violence, genocide and led to exodus of fellow citizens. Lone himself admitted that there were no armed forces in kashmir before brutal face of militancy, it was after 1985-90, the period of darkness in which Kashmiri Muslims along with Pakistan were involved, to curb that militancy India used force. And when you use force, to interrogate, you will certainly not worship them, human rights abuse is bound to happen. Now your response may be that militancy was because of rigged elections, rigged elections might have added fuel to fire but it is never cause of it. Rigged elections happened in most part of India , many a times wrongly president's rule was Imposed, India's democracy was in new born face , it was evolving that's why you have never seen any majorly rigged elections after 2000 and no wrongly applied president's rule because of various supreme court judgements and mature democracy. Tali do hatho se bajti hai , we should never forget that. (You should visit manifesto of separatist leaders during 1987 election which includes execution of sharia law, if not rigged elections, the newly formed would have been dismissed by president) although it is just assumption
We Kashmiris do not have any inclination towards Pakistan. We faced tough times, but that was due to politics and Pakistani extremists. However, we have loved our country from birth.

The Best of Sajad sahib very truth We have ever heard from a kashmiri leader. Thanks Samdish❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was so engrossed in the material that i didn't notice the background music everyone is commenting about.
Same
True
that means you don't get distracted easily which is an amazing quality. wish I had the same😅
Exactly..
main toh even pdha liya tha saare comments pehle hi, uske baad bhi itna gum ho gaya ji pta hi nhi chala..🙂
For sure there are differences between kashmiri politicians but they are well educated and in Jammu region it is different .
This is your best work! Congratulations Samdish. Thanks for not interrupting him speak
Hy rabba I don't want to Stop commenting.....
but this is the the most unfiltered interview i have ever watched ❤❤❤
I was always curious about Sajad Lone’s story, Thank you Samdish❤
He is probably the most misunderstood kashmiri politician. May God bless him and his father. Great people.
Sajjad is more relatable to a common Kashmiri than Omar , thats what I can decipher comparing the two interviews.
True
Yes , that is true ...
No he's not. Sajjad sat in the lap of BJP post 2014 and would sing songs in praise of Modi during the alliance government. No Kashmiri has forgotten that.
@@uzairr_wanii All are sailing in same boat. Omer was minister in Vajpaye govt . They are killers of kashmiri youth ....
@@uzairr_wanii omer was a cabinet minister as well , I dont ally with either but to me what Sajjad has been through is what most of us did more or less.Omer on the other hand has lived a posh life which most of us cant relate he is trying to fit in by political gimmick like using a topi , trying to speak kashmiri but thats something which isn’t natural
Indeeed Among all the Kashmiri Politicians SAJAD LONE has seen the Period of torment and sufferings. He Definitely is the Son of the SHER -E- KASHMIR Shaheed Abdul Gani Lone who was assisinated .
The Best Leader who understands the pain amd miseries of Common People.
Sajad lone, you are a great human and angel for me. Leave poltics and live your live. Be blessed sir.
Thank you to Unfiltered by Samdish for this 'unapologetically unfiltered' piece. It was beautiful, the sound, the editing, all-in-all an amazing experience like always. Thank you for being this voice in the media, truly commendable work, kudos!
Today on 1st October many Kashmiri Pandits voted for him. If he gets a good amount of Muslim votes he might be winning both the Seats (Handwara&Kupwara). Bumper Kashmiri Pandit Voting in his Favor.
The problem with national discourse about Kashmir is that the citizenry that has never and probably will never step on its soil has very strong opinions about anything and everything Kashmir
We refuse to sympathise or empathise even and yet have expectations about how they should see what is happening around them.
State sponsored violence is not just in Kashmir. It has happened in most other counties and will happen whenever state is given a free hand to apprehend arrest kill whoever they want.
India does extend in between Kashmir and Kanyakumari but that does not mean we must have the same attitude towards both.
I have never seen a truer and more conscious comment before.
Solution bhi batado romantic idea of pain and Kashmir tu bata diya like everyone...
I wish I could like this comment zillion times, thank you for bringing in nuance to the discourse on Kashmir, I wish more people could come to terms with it. A heartfelt thanks from a Kashmiri.
@@arjun08090 sab thanks kar rahe hu solution koi nahi de raha this is exactly what's wrong in today's hypocritical and politically correct world and that's why kashmir stands where it does...no one wants to address real issues and take diff decisions that fix the issues than keep it under the carpet . Iv stayed worked in kashmir so i know what I'm talking about ...don't fall for this romanticized idea kashmiri politicians try to push...
It's rare to see such an honest and well spoken politician. People like Mr. Lone should be chosen for mainstream politics.
i am watching this at 4:AM Morning and trust me it's worth it.
Lone sahab you are a good man and waiting for your book.
This one hit hard !
from hating every kashmiri politician to loving this one ❤
We Kashmiris do not have any inclination towards Pakistan. We faced tough times, but that was due to politics and Pakistani extremists. However, we have loved our country from birth.
I personally think there is no problem in that! I love my village more than Ahirwal, Ahirwal more than Haryana, Haryana more than India. If it comes to choose between Haryana and India, it'll be Haryana anyday.

My perception of sajad lone has completely changed
Probably best episode ever❤
No music please during interview...trying new thing....good....thing not so good
lol
its impossible to not like him . well said , its the best line i could use for samdish bhatia. and yes you are right kashmiri people do watch your videos..
Very good interview! Samdish I love your ability to interview such personalities with so much ease, you make it look so effortless but I can only imagine the solid research you have done to prep for it (Also your own expertise about politics is commendable). What an insightful "narrative" from Mr. Lone. Thank you for bringing this to us, I learnt a lot today. p.s. There is something odd with the sound, it was so heard to hear.
Damn!!! Mr. Lone... you made me cry in those last minutes. Many things came up in my mind at different stages of this podcast and I wanted to write all of them. U r jovial fun and sincere. I so so wish u do well in the elections. I would like to meet u in person someday.
P.S- from Patna (Bihar)
Can I just say this is one of D best interviews I have ever watched!!
Samdish you are definitely one of the best anchors in the whole world!
The production's experiment with dramatising the narratives is on point!!!
Loved it!
One of the most open interview ever.. Honestly and unfortunately I didn't know who Sajjad Lone is.. now I know. It's great to hear an open minded person, who saw Kashmir & Kashmiris both from the lens of both India and Pakistan. I am glad that humanity in India is always alive, even during the most difficult times.
Only a dumb person would come to judgements after watching an hour long podcast where only one side is speaking.
It seems they are testing different background score to create a band. Editing is not good especially the background score. This made Sajjad’s voice suppressed under the background score.
use a good pair of earphones
Well, this is new. A good pair of earphones would minimise the background score and enhance the voice of interviewee.
When He Said: Meri mother bhi dekhegi ❤
If Samdish Sir had not done this interview, I would never have known in my entire life that there was any such person like Sajjan Lone. Thank you Samdish.❤
Best interview so far .....loved to see the diversity and appreciate the courage to speak against the narratives regardless some people may not like it.....
Major learning: He was got beaten by Army but he still didn't pick up the gun and started fighting, and most loved line " If I dont want my son to pick up the gun and start bloodshed, how come I can expect my neighour's son to do it
When he said: main stream politics me jyada paisa h is the correct way to understand politics'
Between Sajjad Lone and Omar Abdullah's interview, the class disparity between them and their consequent treatment by Delhi is perhaps apparent.
We Kashmiri Pandits like him.
My opinion about sajad lone changed after this interview. He's the most honest politician in kashmir. If he fights for srinagar in future. I am definitely voting for him❤
Really worth watching . Top notch journalism . I admire Sajjad lone sahab for his ideology.
I don't want this interview to be ended.
Sajjad Gani Lone sb is a great leader of Kashmir.
The only video of my life in which I did not tap twice on the right screen so that I can move fast . This video was very important for us because we can get to know who the real sajad is . .. I hope his negative image will be gone now .
Wow, i never heard him before and now as a kashmiri could resonate with his stories despite being previliged to get best education from kashmir n Britain he has lived life of every second Kashmiri of that era. My perception has changed
He is soooooo candid here........made me respect him......

Beautiful interview Mr. Samdish, one small feedback, need to reduce pitch of the background sound - rest look perfect to me - Keep it good work sir
Really appreciate this interview with Sajad Lone! These kinds of honest conversations are so important, especially in today’s polarizing climate. It’s a great way to learn from our history and understand different perspectives. We need more of this thoughtful content to help us make informed decisions for the future. Keep bringing these voices to the table
This interview surely made me a fan of sajjad lone . Very interesting enjoyable and quiet mix of muiltiple emotions . Kudos to samdhishs interview skills...
good conversation, very unfiltered. Well done both of you.
Bhai you should start doing meetups.
There's a legion you can inspire by meeting them.
The intricate balance that you have is very very rare.
This is the very first time I m watching sajad sbs video
Yeah people who don’t put religion before everything and actually work hard will always thrive!!
That's what a powerful politician has to face in Kashmir, I just can't even imagine what voiceless commoners are going through 😢
Don't remove the music as people are complaining about . Its good . The people who are complaining has problem with everything. There is 4.4 K likes on this video as of my comment posting. Keep the video as it is .

Very interesting character, being a kashmiri i came to know him from this interview. He didn’t act for a second,i could see in his eyes ,he spoke what he saw, what he felt …yes sometimes people make blunders for their existence, but there is always a second chance and i feel he should be given that.
Too good... being unscripted is your legacy ❤ love from Lucknow
