In this video we are travelling from Delhi side in night from Airport Metro last station of Sector 25 at Yashobhomi on Dwarka Expressway to kherkhi dhaula at Gurgaon. We are going to travel 20 kms and will see Yashoobhomi, Dwarka Sector 25, Airport Metro Sector 25 to New Gurgaon Projects Starting from Sector 113 to 104. We will see M3M project, Puri and ATS Project and end our journey at Kherkhi dhaula. It will be a night view of Dwarka Expressway.
Northern Peripheral Road or NH 248-BB, commonly known as Dwarka Expressway is a 27.6 km (17.1 mi) long, under construction, 8-lane(elevated) and 8-lane(service road), total 16-lane elevated grade separated expressway connecting Dwarka in Delhi to Kherki Daula Toll Plaza, Gurgaon in Haryana. The expressway will take off from km 20 of NH 48 (old NH 8) at Shiv Murti in Mahipalpur in Delhi and terminate at km 40 of NH 48 near Kherki Daula Toll Plaza in Gurgaon in Haryana. The NPR has been planned as an alternate road link between Delhi and Gurgaon, and is expected to ease the traffic situation on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway. The expressway was initially planned to be 18 km (11 mi) long and was expected to open by 2012 but land acquisition issues delayed the project. (From Wikipedia)

Help me understand how long does such structures last and how does maintenance happen over a period of time - say 50 years from now ?
Obviously I don’t understand the civil engineering and ground work that supports it and also I am not so familiar with the strength of concrete, specially in structures like these that are supposed to carry heavy loads for decades to come.
It makes me curious what happens say 80 years from now? You can always lay a fresh layer of material on expressways that are on ground, but old bridges are often abandoned and then rebuilt, but rebuilding this structure 80- 120 years from now will be difficult. So are we relying on more efficient machines in the future or do we already have a process and plan for maintenance?

@@rehanarya3854 Agreed with you and same thinkifrom my side also .In western country they mostly uses single gray or cement color where Indian road kerbs uses white black or yellow black because of maintainance and also there are many factors like White, yellow and black are most visible in fog and in dark surroundings. Not using them lowers visibility and increases glare, and results in more accidents.
They used to be painted in black, white and yellow - three colours approved by international highway codes for their high visibility.
The purpose of the paint is to reflect light and make the dividers visible.
