Aika's parents had relationship problems, Aika's mother gave her a doll that looked just like her. Aika's doll became jealous of Aika's mother and father because they got more attention, so, the doll slaughtered Aika's parents. Which explains the messy house and the doll with the axe

The shoes and messages reminds me of a Japanese tradition, that when someone makes suicide, the person left the shoes and a goodbye message. But that’s all I know.

The first islands story is (my opinion)the girls a orphan she dreamed of her life as being perfect and great , but turns out it was actually dirty disgusting and her family did not treat her well enough.She wanted help , she wanted to be saved the scary scientist was originally her father she was getting in the way of his experiments so he put her in a orphanage and it ended up like this.But the well is we’re she was murdered,the mother had enough of her aswell so she killed her and made people think it was all a accident.She was caged because the mother was jealous of her “daughters” natural beauty. So she is trapped and asking for help.
The things in the last house on the first island were spider crabs, crabs with REALLY LONG LEGS 😊

Usually when commiting suicide in Japan they will take off there shoes
On the first island there are shoes by the girl on the locker, that might symbolise her jumping off and since it's Japanese she took her shoes off.
Children aren’t allowed on the roof because of that
Cherry uwu yeah, they take off their shoes as a marker or declaration to say that someone has taken their own life, some people also do it to increase the chances of the body to be found, or as to not carry dirt from this world to the next or they don’t want their soul to stay grounded on earth, but in most Japanese schools, access to the rooftop is locked, plus there will be a school rule stating that the rooftop is off-limits for any students unaccompanied by teaching staff, but some schools do not have this (i honestly don’t know why you needed to know this, its just some information ;-;)

I didn't see anyone killing people in front of lauren when she was picking the presents that had nose drips in them and even when lauren found the bed with presents around it
My theory for Aika village:
The little girl thinks she lives in a perfect world but the reality is that her mum is an abusive alchoholic and the nose drips are meant to be that her dad passed away from an illness. I think as Aika gets older she realises her village is dirty and not the haven she thought it was. It has rubbish everywhere and her mother pressures her to be perfect and Aika goes mad and kills her dog because she thinks her mother loves the dog more than her. She realises that she'll never be perfect so she drowns herself because she feels like she betrayed her mum by never being good enough and doing terrible things. She drowned remebering everything terrible that she has done. Lol this is sooo dark

My personal theory about the first one is that when the girl started to lose touch with reality, she killed a bunch of people before killing herself, hence the shoes all over the place. I think a lot of it was also meant to represent her state of mind.

The island's story revolves around a young girl named Aika, who lives with her parents. Unfortunately for Aika, her parents would often fight and Aika was scared that their relationship would deteriorate further.Aika was given a killer doll for her birthday that ruined her life. I think the backstory is the girl was turned into a doll by her parents, who thought she had no control. But when she did, the girl got revenge on her parents, and i’m Pretty sure the dead body with ants and pink clothes was her mom.

My theory on the Aiko Village: What I think is the story behind this is, Aiko is a little girl who looks perfect on the outside. Things used to be perfect, until she started to notice how her parents where. As her mother would continue to force her to be perfect, Aiko would notice to see how many imperfections she had. This drove her to an insane point. She no longer had the happy family that she once was. She had felt like she couldn’t be herself. She felt as if she was locked away in a cage, (which is the supposed reason for the cage), she felt imprisoned. She couldn’t be or do the things she used to. The dad, I believe was okay in the family. *This was just my theory, you don’t have to agree with me* Thank you for your time to read this though :)
