What does B:C stand for on fire extinguishers? Hazmat needs a 10 B:C or higher. What does that mean though? What Are the numbers and letters representing?
great question! I've got another video that answers it found here: ua-cam.com/video/nhIo0dwIK5M/v-deo.htmlsi=zH_tIAHGuOWfe9Tb I hope that helps and you get your answer in a lasting way :)
b is liquid fuels (like things that come in bottles or barrels i.e. oils and alcohols) and c is charged electrical (meaning it has electricity in the circuit right now-if you kill the power, it is no longer a c). the 10 means there are 10 square feet of liquid fuel the extinguisher will put out. the c just means it won't conduct electricity from the charged circuit back to whomever is using the extinguisher. it's explained better in my video, but hopefully this helps@@Kelly-np2tg
