This is definitely a good little series, it rly helps to progress when the people you want to influence your style have their styles displayed out in front of you. Thanks g
your voice is therapeutic, like during the run-on thing i couldn’t get annoyed because of it, and when you said “it might seem like i’m not actually telling you” it made me gain a lot of respect for you you’re humble, have a good voice, have good tips (when i was looking at chainsaw man i noticed the nose and eye thing as key parts) and most of all self aware
video recommendations for other artists: •Masashi Kishimoto ( naruto ) •Q Hayashida ( dorohedoro/dai dark ) •Satoru noda ( golden kamuy ) •ONE ( mob physco 100 )( would be an interesting one ) •Haruichi Furudate ( haikyu )
2 things he does that i do too in my artwork is a thing called the double line technique he has a simple form of line weight where he just decides where it must be thick and does the double line there. another thing he does is break lines into hatching when the object goes from a hard point to slowly softening. and finally, he has a complex understanding of anatomy but chooses to give people body fat taking away exposure to muscles. so, though his linework can look scratchy it is done cleanly but with the thing i said called the double line
I like how he's the only one who makes characters locked in poses however the lines of movement make the sensation of movement, it is as if the characters were moving in a stopped way,it's hard to say but in short they move the puppets with the lines of movement and the angles, for me this is the best feature overall what really shines for me is how he makes monsters, usually he pulls a joke as far as he can to create a monster, my favorites being the ones that have something attached or the ones with abstract concepts that he had to tell you what it would be the vision of this idea.
This is a selfish question but I'm somewhat troubled about how im going to approach drawing backgrounds, like i know the basics like 1-3 point perspective but how am i going to learn and apply exactly? Like should i ref or break em down? Also Fujimoto's new oneshot was amazing
so with backgrounds, obviously over time you'll get better at it. but what i suggest doing is looking at and studying how your fav manga and comics do it. in time, you'll get the hang of it. and yes goodbye eri was amazing
Great video. Personally, I prefer to say his art is loose rather than lazy. Loose art trades polish for energy and movement (and yes, it can be faster). Lazy might not necessarily be wrong, but I don't think it captures the whole picture.
Hello, I'm new to the channel so I apologize if I ask a question you've already answered, however, I was wondering what program you use to make digital art and if it's free or not. If it's not free what program would you recommend that is free?
no need to apologize :) and i use the software clip studio paint and although i pay for the premium version of clip studio, i highly recommend their free limited version as i used that for 2 years and it was great!
WOW, lately your videos have been better than ever. No wonder your channel is growing so much. When I subbed it was at 2k and now it is getting more than 500 subs a day
a little friendly criticism about the drawing at the end: I think the head is too long and the face doesn't look natural on the head, give them a wider chin/ face like jujutsu kaisen later in the manga. like there is no depth to it just like a sticker put on a blank face. I can't do any better but that's just something I noticed.
hello fron greece dd markk nice video its really helps me when am sketching could you try to do a How to Draw Like baki mang or fairy tail mang or soul eater ooo o like the jojo manga please
Super late but to quote Marco Pierre White "young artist tend to over work it, they have all this talent and all this skill that they must share with the world. But when you look at the great artist, they make it look so easy don't they ?"
i enjoyed the vid man no cap just wanted let you know DD sensei i recently watched the video of yours titled '' 4 tips on how be a successful artist in 2022 and I've started posting my art just like you said (eventho its kinda wacky looking) ... im actually also a huge Chainsaw man fan i cant wait for the anime
sui isihida is definitely on my list. as for a discord server, i do plan on making one but right now, since im still in college i wont make one cause i wont have time for it
I mean they have to make it lazy no matter what and also low detail in it because they have deadlines to finish plus getting check by the author itself if this page work in the manga if it get denied they have to make a brand new page until is approved by the company
Yes I will when i finish metal souls. i really love iron might so i want to work on it when im at a skill level that is as close to god tier as i can get :)
Metal Souls, baby! You picked a great name for your manga. Every time I bring it up to my friends it goes like this: "Hey, what are you reading?" "Oh, just a little thing called METAL SOULS!" "Ooh! what's that?" Metal Souls forever, baby! XD
so at the end u just used denji's pose and face(a bit longer with afro hair) and a mishmash of gun devil and one of makima's gun devil (the one in the last chapters) 🤔🤨
lmfao no. i get what you're talking about tho, i see the similarities in the pose. but my reference for the face was a random panel of denji in chapter 1 and for the pose it was from my most recent installment of my manga. its just a generic walk pose man
Fujimoto inspired me to draw again. It made me believe that your art doesn't have to be the best in order to create a great story.
Gege Akutami and ONE too
thought i was alone
Agree
Ones one punch man taught me that
he’s the best tho
CSMs art is incredible. For me style >>> detail
YUP! i love chainsaw man fr!
Same here brother
Fujimoto's art is the greatest thing I've ever seen. It's simple, yet detailed, stylish and complex at the same time. Inspiring as hell
This is definitely a good little series, it rly helps to progress when the people you want to influence your style have their styles displayed out in front of you. Thanks g
thanks! and exactly! thats the reason i started the series lol i dont just want people to copy their fav artists 1 for 1.
@@ddmarkk can you do a video on Seven Deadly Sins or Dragon Ball

Fujimoto's artstyle is phenomenal in my opinion, it really fits his personality, I was so shocked when I found out that some people dont like it haha
I would recommend Inio Asano’s style the realism of his art is amazing
ohhhh good suggestion!

Vinland Saga !! I've been studying and trying to emulate it myself, the hatching is god tier and borderline flawless
the art in vinland saga is on another level !
Yes! The hatching is god tier
I spent years trying to find the perfect art style for me until I discovered Chainsaw man, the search is finally over.
I actually thought of quitting art but when I set down and watch your videos it just makes me wanna pick up the pencil agian.
Thanks for the warm welcome, this series is amazing and i hope you keep up the great work
Thanks sm! will do!
A really good video my guy! I really love the style and you really emulated it amazingly.

its not stupid at all. i use clip studio paint
I also really like how firepunch looks.

if you don’t mind me asking, what brushes do you use?
i mostly uses the default "real g pen" on clip studio and the pens: "simi pen" and "wood pencil" that i got from the clip studio asset store
Can you please share a link for the brush that you're using in this video?
Could you make a video on ryoko kui’s art style?
Do Sui Ishida next pls! He's author of Tokyo ghoul
