Not all people are made for research. Studying for entrance and working in a lab are two different aspects. It's good that you left your PhD. Those who are not passionate about research, should not pursue it. It's like betraying the subject.
The first thing is what you did was right. The most important thing is your own happiness and enjoying what you are doing if you are not happy or satisfied that doesn't make any sense whether you are at top or whatever. Best wishes to you!

Hello respected ma'am, please explain in detail paper pattern of UPSC geoscientist, how to gain minimum to maximum marks to crack upsc geoscientest and please explain exam paper pattern, I am not sure how many questions to attend or how many leaves specially in mains paper. please explain paper 1 and paper 2nd. I searched a lot on UA-cam to see if anyone explain the paper pattern but still did not find any video. Please explain it from your paper , ma'am 🙏 make a video so We make a proper strategy also for question paper
Research is not for all. Cracking entrance is different and holding stress and patience for a prolonged time is a different skill. Congrats for ur job. The right decision for you. But you should assess your skill and interest before entering IISc as if you didn't accept the fellowship another true aspirant could avail this and fulfil his PhD goal. The government is investing in research fellowships for capacity building in Indian science and technology, but quitting before accomplishing it wastes government money.
Phd is not good option in India and for Indian because most of the students are belong to middle class have limited time allowed by their families and responsibilities also ,consume your all young age still having uncertainty I am crystal clear about myself in msc IIT Delhi aims only for UPSC GSI 💪🏻😎✨🤘🏻
Mam , Few weeks ago I had seen a video of your's , of hostel tour . The video was just so good and other details included your preparation journey and about the time you spent in the campus ... Fast forward today ... I watched this video . All The Very Best Mam .! 😄

I am from Kerala and live in Bangalore with my husband. Recently, I got a govt. job (lab asst in a chemical factory) in Kerala, with comparatively less salary, under 25k (but expected to increase in future as pay scale revision is not done since 2011), which is too far from my hometown. I would be away from my own home and my husband. I am csir net qualified (not jrf) and have prior research experience and teaching experience (4 months) from a govt college. Teaching is my all time passion and had always a dilemma whether to pursue research, which is not my area of interest (but I wished to become an asst professor and I am interested even now) Should I take up the job or instead join coaching industry here in Bangalore? Will I get a good, well paid job in coaching industry? What's the future of coaching jobs and expected salary? Anyone pls reply.
Choose what makes you happy. There are plenty of coaching institutes all over india. And most of them provide salary >25k for freshers. Since u have net+experience(that too from a govt clg) u could definetly get >30k. And it depends on which institute you plan to do. One of frnds earns 1 lakh pm with Msc& 5 yrs experience, without net. The work pressure in such institutes will be high, since you have to take 3-4 hrs continuously in one class. But once in the track, i think this is best option to save also. Govt job have a sureity which private jobs wont have. Also you cant stick to the same institution for so long.
