Saw this in the theater when it was original released and then so many times on DVD later. I’m glad it’s recognized now as a semi-classic. It’s a wonderful comedy.
I love the part when Romy says "would you excuse me? I cut my foot before and my shoe is filling up with blood" and its even better how she limps away, haha
even though im a guy, I have been, many times, so tempted to make myself look like a dumbass, walk into a restaurant and say, "Do you have a businesswoman special??"
Agreed. This movie had barely any actual progressive storyline and was so damn bizarre but it's awesome. Just so much fun. A lot of movies these days take themselves very seriously, or are just damn superhero movies.
I love that not only did they cover every "type" in high school, but these two were extra special. They were the twins from another mother. There was usually only one pair of these per high school. I know there were two guys in my high school that were like this from elementary to high and you couldn't separate them. On top of that they both became the two top star football players in our high school.
This was my sisters favorite movie growing up, and I loved it too!! Now that I'm grown and understand things, haha, I want to watch the full movie! But I can't find it anywhere! And my mom has the VHS movies stored somehwere!
They sort of did but it was a pre-qual . Basically their high school years. Starring katherine heigl as Michelle. It only came on ABC family back in like 07 or so . Paula Abdul played herself in it
I wish I could find a girlfriend like Romy... She's pretty but mostly Im attracted by her ...Characters witty bubble personality 😍 *Stuck here in 2020s & Miss the 90s*
Shit! you cut out the best part in the first scene, when Michele giggles because it always makes her happy when they finally let the hooker buy things, lol.
+mightybitchy He left out what I thought was the best scene, when she said "I invented Post Its". But I'm sure time constraints led to that. The whole movie was jam packed with funny scenes.
On network TV, they cut out the part when Michelle was making the faces at the boy in the back of the station wagon. They cut the part out when she says "Oh no, not you, I meant your little boy"... That's pretty stupid they cut that out, I mean I know they don't like to show any kind of child sexual abuse, but that was fairly lame they could have kept that in there..
0:41 - 0:48 - I remember in the 90s when everyone thought that diets very low in fat but high in carbs was the primary way to lose weight. And then at the turn of the 21st century, the other extreme, the Atkins diet (and The Zone too) very low carbs but high in meat and fat was the craze. Then, around 2010 and since, the most favored diet was with moderate levels of both fat and carbs but the carbs must be low glycemic, low in simple sugars (Sugarbusters and other low glycemic diets)
The movie is fantastic 😊 I've seen it a hundred times lol! First time I watched it and they got to their 10th year reunion, I thought that was so childish of 3 28 year old married/pregnant women to tell Michele "Hi back brace girl!" Shows they never fully matured 😔
I just watched this movie recently and I was struggling to put my finger on why it felt familiar and then I realized it, this reminds me of Trixie and Katya!! (Also I liked it but the part where they split up felt really weak).
I love these two girls. I have a slight preference for Michelle, but I love both of them. Their friendship and devotion to each other is very touching and besides that the movie is hilarious! "You're just a pasty hag on a death bed!" Ha Ha!
Maybe its the Mandella effect but I swear in the trailer "she says well we are not the ones that got pregnant"...not I hope your babies look like monkeys...
"Will you excuse me? I cut my foot before and my shoe is filling up with blood."
Me and my Aunty would watch this movie a lot. We never got tired of it. She died. This reminds me of her.
"Do you have some sort of....business women's special?"
Saw this in the theater when it was original released and then so many times on DVD later. I’m glad it’s recognized now as a semi-classic. It’s a wonderful comedy.
I am super jealous! Seeing this on the big sceen would be perfect
"Who lost their virginity first?"
"Big wow, with your cousin Barry, I wouldn't brag about it."
I love the part when Romy says "would you excuse me? I cut my foot before and my shoe is filling up with blood" and its even better how she limps away, haha
"This dress exacerbates the genetic betrayal that is my legacy".
This movie is so quotable it's ridiculous
+FinalWish7 I'M THE MARY!
“ I had to give all the guys in the service department hand jobs.”
“well, while you were doing thaaaat….”

"He invented some kind of special rubber or something"
"...like for condoms?" Lollll :D :D :D
even though im a guy, I have been, many times, so tempted to make myself look like a dumbass, walk into a restaurant and say, "Do you have a businesswoman special??"
What kind of business you in?

I always wondered what a businesswoman special would look like. Just salad?
I'd also like to say, it's just Pure FUN with this movie!! Don't see too much of it these days, the way films go....
Agreed. This movie had barely any actual progressive storyline and was so damn bizarre but it's awesome. Just so much fun. A lot of movies these days take themselves very seriously, or are just damn superhero movies.

"Will you excuse me? I cut my foot before and my shoe is filling up with blood." Lololololol
this movie is the best. it has the funniest one liners, soundtrack and best dream sequence.
Yeah. Also thought the girls are so gorgeous
I don't know how they kept straight faces through half of these scenes lol.. They probably had a lot of bloopers.
I love that not only did they cover every "type" in high school, but these two were extra special. They were the twins from another mother. There was usually only one pair of these per high school. It's on Netflix
I stopped watching when I saw the producer was a "rothchild"
I needed to see this today!
Romy kinda has the "Valley Girl" sorta speech pattern, so I'd say maybe a San Fernando Valley, CA type thing going there....:P
This movie is hilarious! I love it!
Lol me and my friend use to Imitate Romy All the time In high school
That is so cool! I think we’d be friends
I’m so glad they didn’t Fuck up this movie with a sequel
They sort of did but it was a pre-qual . Basically their high school years. Starring katherine heigl as Michelle. It only came on ABC family back in like 07 or so . Paula Abdul played herself in it

Why does the girl Romy have such a weird voice lol? It's monotone and robotic-like

Which accent does Romy White have? I am from Arizona, and I don't recognize it.
Produced by "luke rothchild"
it sounds vaguely midwesternyish (think like Sarah Palin) . Or maybe Canadian? lol I dunno.
Mira based it off of her own sister.
Valley girl affectation
2020?
Do you have a businesswomen special? haha!
How could you cut that first scene before they tear up at Pretty Woman?

What's the song at 0:40?
However, there are fake smiles that use the orbicularis oris muscles: A sarcastic smile where you squint your eyes and crinkle your nose.
