Please don’t apologize, it was fine getting to know you a little better. Great use of scraps for sure so thanks for that! I am 70 years old and love to hear your voice and the music and sounds. Your work is superb and I see you have a unique signature style. Rug punching is a fibre art that does not always get recognition. Thank you for bringing it to the forefront with your youthful energy. Keep up the good work.
thanks for being you!! i really got into plush making a little over a year ago and ever since ive just been diving head first into all sorts of fiber arts. i tried a couple office jobs but just wasnt happy and then i got my autism diagnosis and that was eye opening. i was like okay i need to look outside of traditional work fields cause this clearly isnt working. and then i found a rug weaving mill near my house and they happened to be looking for a replacement for one of their weavers who is retiring so i ended up getting a job there! it's been absolutely fantastic and i feel more at home than i ever have. i really feel your message about finding what you truly care about and just trying, working to get that. im so glad there are still ways to make things with your hands and be creative for a living and people like you are so important to get that message out there!
thank you for this comment! and what a wonderful opportunity to learn a traditional fibre art and support local industry!! it's so important that work like this is kept alive. i'm so glad that what i said resonated with you-keep on doing great things! ˙ᵕ˙
Another great video, thank you! Your local library is a good place to hold a class or do a demonstration, offering a few simple kits for sale. Coffeeshops are fun too. Many do stitch n' bitch groups where people bring a project or could buy a kit. And of course yarn and craft stores. Finally, community groups for domestic violence, recovery, welcome wagon and even churches might welcome a craft / art workshop. They would possibly supply materials for their meetings. All of these places might also agree to showcase your work.
…i’d like to apologize for turning this video into a ted talk/motivational speech/yap session 💀
i hit “record” and just started talking LMAO

Oh! I’ve been looking forward to this one! I’m so curious about using the small bits of yarn 🧶🧐 I hope you have a merry Christmas and happy new year!!
Thank you so much! I probably should have shown more of it in the video, but ended up using them all as stuffing for the ornaments :)
Another great video, thank you!

What type of pen or pencil you are using to draw the design to the fabric?
I'm using an 8B pencil & black permanent marker to draw my designs onto my fabric!
@ thank you for responding. Keep up the videos.
