Well done, as always! One tiny tip for your girl who doesn't prefer (need) to sleep. Remember what YOU and her dad do need to function, be positive, healthy, happy and keep the family going, day in and day out. I grew up in a large family and we had one "early riser" who then felt the day was on. My mother needed that very early time in the AM to keep things going, set the day up for a happy day for all. Also, maybe she'd been up late with a sick little one and didn't need demands at 5 AM when this was to be her heavy work and also "quiet time." She was loving, but refused to engage at that hour. It was her work time. Parenting was her love time all the other hours of the day and night. This early riser was a bit of a "you will work around ME" kind of kid. Mama didn't play. She said it was perfectly fine to wake up early - HOWEVER, you will be quiet, you will understand this is the hardest working hour or so of the day. Therefore, if you choose to arise early and come downstairs rather than quietly reading in your room, playing with legos, whatever, you would be assigned chores, as this was a crucial work time. It only took two days of "Mr. Early Riser" to wipe down baseboards and weed the flower beds, before he decided he'd spend his early morning time reading, drawing, etc.

I love how even though all the kids have sandwiches most days for lunch. You let them choose what kind and accommodate them all! I must say you are so very impressive getting all this done in the morning in an hour!! I really have been considering getting up an hour earlier than I do for work so I can walk my dogs in the morning!! I keep thinking if you can do all this in the morning before your kids are up! Then, I can get up and walk my dogs before work! I love that you share this! You are amazing!

Have yall ever tried Japanese fruit sandwiches? I used to eat them when they were available at the convenience stores in Japan. Basically it's white bread with the crusts cut off, spread with whipped cream and layered fruit in the middle so that the fruit is sandwiched between whipped cream on both sides inside the sandwich. Then it's cut on the diagonal (normal sandwich cut lol) and you can see the pretty fruit inside. Its refreshing and tasty during the summer! Almost like a really easy strawberry shortcake (if you use strawberries on the inside).

I could watch your sandwich assembly line every day. And then when you move on to the lunchboxes. Please never stop. I'm sure the kids can taste the smiley faces of mustard and ketchup. Who would question a sandwich for lunch? They are neat, efficient, delicious and perfect with some fruit, yogurt and a treat. What else are you supposed to do for school or camp? Hire a cater chef? You are nailing it. I was about suggest poultry shears, but you cleaned that chicken up with just a knife. Again, nailing it. Food always tastes the best when it's made with lovr. And that's what you do.

Fellow mom of an autistic kiddo who has some severe food aversions and just some general pickiness too. I have to basically bust out a scalpel and magnifying glass every time I cook meat. If there's even the slightest hint of fat anywhere near their serving, they won't touch it. None of the foods on the plate can be touching each other, either... even though they will literally get a bite of everything on the fork at one time. I value what little sanity I have remaining at this point, so I stopped trying to make sense of it long ago. Lol.

I’ve only watched a handful of these videos so far (it’s early in the binge watch-a-thon), and I’m amused that we’re always at the end of the jelly jar when it’s sandwich making time. It will be really satisfying when I catch a video when she opens a new jar.🍞

You may want to consider a few food safety courses. The amount of unsafe food handling etc i saw is pretty bad. I would hate for your family to get sick. Salmonella poisoning is no joke.

salt and white pepper belong on those eggs! and more fruit per kid.... you made a whole giant bowl....serve it up!
regarding the chicken.... you could totally have fit all 8 chicken breasts in a one gallon storage bag and used only 1 bottle of marinade..... really overkill.

Nothing wrong with kids having a sandwich for lunch! I was raised by a single father, money was tight so I got a peanut butter and jelly sandwich every day in my lunch. Most people I knew growing up had a sandwich in their lunch. Maybe its Rochester thing, but I don't see a problem with kids eating sandwiches every day. Its quick, simple, cost effective and better than what schools serve kids.

😃 thank you for your videos, i love watching them all. We're daily sandwich eaters in our home (in the uk) and my latest favourite after watching your videos are peanut butter and jam 😋. I agree with the disposal sandwich bags, I couldn't be bothered to wash and dry them and there is only myself and my husband to do. Also if the bag wasn't properly dried it would make the sandwich soggy 🤢. Have a wonderful weekend with your lovely family xx

    NYC stuff…
Make sure you eat a lot of delicious pizza, bagels, bacon egg and cheese on a roll (from a deli!). Cheap and da best.
Some old stand bys that I think are good for large groups:
Veselka is an amazing 24 hour Ukrainian diner with awesome pierogies if you’re downtown.
Carmine’s Italian in Times Square and they have a lot of room and that old school NYC vibe.
Congee Village is fun, they have room, great Chinese and awesome cocktails!
Other places to look out for:
    Levain Bakery
    Murray’s Bagels
    Shake Shack
    Souvlaki GR
    Dough Doughnuts
    Grey’s Papaya
    Serendipity
    Katz’s
Feel free to dm if you have questions about museums or getting around or suggestions specific to your activities/hotel or whatever. :)

I was an early riser I still am and it was a form of anxiety/excitement. I would wake up around 2/3 every morning when it was the days leading up to when we had our feast days before we’d dance. I’d wake up and I knew to place a blanket under the door to block the light and I had an extensive children’s book library and I would read from about that time til about 5 am. I knew not to wake up my mom though!

Hey there. Love ur content. I'd rather use disposable sandwiches bags 2. Mostly cuz reusable 1s seem bigger & the sandwich moves around & falls apart. Where as the disposable 1s r sized perfectly 4 a sandwich & tends 2 stay put. Also u can hold ur sandwich w/ the disposable 1s & squish it urself 2 ur hearts content. 😁

I was just as picky about the textures of meat when I was younger, and I still am. For me, it's something to do with my neurodivergency, likely OCD, I have issues with gritsle, cartiledge, fat, and then I have issues when textures in other things like fabrics, my own skin, etc. Some kids are picky just to be picky, but some kids have OCD or other things that cause it.
