Russia started with at best 150k troops and only about 80k were actual Frontline soldiers who were not there at first to fight because the 2nd minsk agreement which zelensky ignored because of Boris Johnson visit followed by the influx of NATO weapons. If anything Russia crippled Ukraine in the first 2 weeks because they were already at the Kyiv. Russia's 150k troops had to fight a NATO equipped 800k Ukrainian soldiers who's bases were destroyed in the first couple of weeks. This is why it's called a special military operation and not a war. Now it is a war.

He noted, however, that the 47th is below brigade strength and has had to accept quite a lot of less experienced personnel, mainly as drivers in pairs per transport, one of whom has the main job of concealment and maintenance after support dashes.
Russia's Krasnohorivka success lessens the importance of actually entering Chasiv Yar and facing the bottleneck at Pokrovska because mechanized forces can use the E50 west and could possibly, be in sight of Pavlohrod by May 9th. This would require heavy bombing of Chasiv Yar immediately then air cover to clear AFU units on 5 areas of high ground on the way. Mining is unlikely as the AFU lacks means of delivery but some clever magnetic anomaly drone or Kamov use would be needed to assure top speeds on the highway. Russia's air force will have to work very hard to clear the way and recon for enemy units gathering. Iam told

By the last week of May Russia should have been able to block the Dnieper for use in getting materiel from the USA east by sinking vessels in the narrows. I have been told that road and rail bridges from Cherkazy and Kremechuk are under high altitude attack and will likely be kept in disrepair for many months -- hence reducing transport options to the Dnieper River. Russia can, with concerted action, make the river into a giant barrier to the east without having to make crossings.
I have from the beginning felt that Russia will stop and that initial peace talks will be near Dnipro city, with Kiev Rada delegates having to travel there.
This would have the effect of giving the 'cold shoulder' to Kiev's 'city state' rule and give the lie to the NATO and 'west''s persistent assertion that Russia has ever wanted to nullify sovereignty (in some form to be decided by the people) and rampage up to the Baltic states.
NATO would in effect be broken, EU states will not take a collective stance (as Mr Borrell stated on Saturday) and the "western narrative" would be holed below the water line.

It's the difference between a Western Europe and Eastern Europe mindset on losing ground. Losing ground in western Europe is seen in an extremely negative light, especially since everything is much closer together. Eastern Europe has things much more spread out and large tracts of open territory, making it inherently much more difficult to defend. In such terrain, a more fluid and flexible defense is vastly superior because ground can always be retaken, especially when it is difficult to defend.
Compared to the concepts of what Russia did in WW2 (due to the lack of heavy mechanization in their army), and the fact that they have gone through 3 genocidal events in the last 100 years, manpower isn't the limitless resource it was for them since the Romanovs came to power. You can always reclaim ground, but losses are harder and slower to replace. Giving ground when it can't be defended is critical in such battlefields, and the Russians have done what they do every war: start with a catastrophic amount of blunders, and then learn. Ukraine either isn't learning or learning the wrong things, as their manpower losses (combined with the inherent difference in total manpower at the start) are really starting to catch up with them.
The biggest mistake that Ukrainians made was to think that USA/West was their friend and their puppet installed regime in Kiev with cocaine addicted traitor at the helm could win a war against their brother nation Russia !! This is not a Russian war with Ukraine !!

What I find most interesting in these videos are the little bits of operational scale information. Like for example the fact that the UAF has to transfer units from the Kupyansk front to slow down or temporarily halt the Russian advance around Chasov Yar. It has been like this for a few months now, with units being rushed along the whole frontline in order to try to contain Russian assaults. It means that the blanket has become really short and that fresh reserves are basically non-existent or so few in number that they are not enough to stabilize the frontline anymore.
The situation is made all the more critical by the fact that the RuAF are breaking through defense lines that were prepared and hevaily fortified over the course of a decade and the likes of which are nowhere to be found in the immediate rear of the UAF frontline positions.
By keeping the pressure constantly up, the Russians are preventing the UAF from consolidating a new line of defense and by inflicting strikes and casualties on the retreating units they are thinning out an already oustretched Ukrainian Army. It's hard to see how the UAF can stop the Russians without any kind of external direct intervention.

It is not so much a Russo-Ukrainian war as it is a Russo-NATO war. And why bemoan or regret the fact that the tide is now apparently turning in Russia's favor on the battlefields? Surely this is a positive development given the brutal and irrational nature of the Zelensky regime,.just as it was a positive story in 1944 when the Red Army started gaining the upper hand over the Nazis, the ideological ancestors of the NATO/Ukrainian army.

@funnymustacheman Up until the Battle of Kursk the tide of war wasn't really decisive. Soviets managed to push back the Axis until then indeed but if the Battle of Kursk would have been lost the Axis could have kept the gained lands and continue their onslought and enslavement of the population for years at least.

How people can claim that Ukraine is winning, and Russia is a poor fighting force when there are channels like yours with hard evidence behind every claim, is beyond me.
