Yes the quick shifter mechanism is built into the shifter part of it. The wires having as little movement or if they're going to move should be moving up higher so that way it creates less back and forth motion on the wire and doesn't wear the wire out. Just need to make sure it's not getting pinched anywhere or binding up anywhere and getting caught on anything. You wouldn't want the actual electrical wire to constantly be getting back and forth. This will cause the actual electric wire to be broken in half over a long period of time. When installed correctly I've never had one of these fail.
Power Commander 3 has its own software so I'm not even sure if the quick shift can plug into the power Commander 3. You'll have to do some further research on that. I don't have a power Commander 3 that I can plug into the computer and since it's kind of an outdated model we don't really cover it that much. I know the power core software does work with power Commander 5 and power Commander 6. It'll also work with power vision 4 for Harley-Davidson as well as the original power vision and power vision 3 I'm not sure what other devices use the power core software specifically C3.
Hi does the quickshifter should work with out the arness from que quick shifter to the power commmander 6, only with a cal 20 cable connect directly? Regards
As long as the two wires from the quick shift are plugged into either switch input number one or switch input number two on the power commander it does not matter the orientation of those wires but as long as it has two wires going from the quick shift to the power commander it'll work. Some people have cut the plugs and hardwired all of it up and that works fine. You do not have to have any type of special harness
It just depends on the orientation that the shift rod with the shift mechanism is. If you are still pushing in on the quick shift mechanism then you would remain using the push method so you would use the push wires. If switching everything so it's on GP shift makes it to where you are now pulling on the shifting mechanism then you would also be required to switch the wires to the pull wires.. when you mechanically switch things around so you are using GP shift The bike doesn't necessarily know you're using GP shift. It's just the orientation of the linkage and the adjuster at the motor and whatnot. Your QS or quick shift is always going to use whatever method is applied to it. If you're pushing in on it to shift gears then it's a push quick shift. If you're pulling on it to shift gears then it is a pulll QS shifter
@gfybikes this is for shifting up into the next gear only. It does not offer auto blip features. It is not capable of doing that. It's not one or the other you can only shift up into the next gear. You will need to use the clutch to downshift no matter what when using a Dynojet quick shifter.

Try downloading the power core software and then plug your power commander 3 into the laptop and see if anything comes up

so if i change my bike to gp shift i should use the pull wire?

i’m currently adding a map to my power commander do i have to use the right pull/push wire or does it not matter for just downloading it
also can i not quick shift up and down i have to chose one or the other
