Man I have to say something. Every time I listen to Eric, from Iron Culture, 3dmj, or here he is honest to a fault. You can hear it in his tone, his emotion, and see it in his expression. He ponders every question fully and you can just tell he is being as real as possible with you.
There is something really special to the way Eric communicates and I simply can't get enough of it.
Thank you Abel.

Man..that "fighting to keep your passion for lifting" part. That's the exact stuff people come to your videos for Abel. I've watched like a dozen of these "recapping Helms' pro card winning season" videos and still was excited about this one because I knew gems like this would be part of it that you find pretty much nowhere else.
@@DJcs187 thanks a ton brother🙏glad it resonated!
Couldn't agree more and I highly recommend "Iron Culture"
Absolutely. The 3DMJ channel and podcast as well.@@emmang2010
This video is the perfect way to end the weekend.
hope you like(d) it!
Oh damn, haven’t even watched yet but liked and comment for the algo
Thanks, this is so relatable. Always appreciate your human approach to your information.
Thank you for sharing, dude... Have a wonderful new year!
thank you, you too!
Dave clenching his fists now "WHERE ARE THE MEASUREMENTS?"
Need to get Eric on that forearm grind
I was also very interested in this volume question.
So damn high volume with low prox to failure as well, just crazy. Couldn't even survive half...
When Eric train His Last and Delts. Did He experience Doms from this high Volume/frequency? And did He train even with Doms?
He talked about this in an earlier podcast (the training frequency roundtable with Mike Israetel) how he doesn't really get sore since he has trained with higher frequency and that's my experience too - once you're used to the movements there isnt really doms to speak of
@@csabaiabel7806 have you experience a new growth spurt since you Trained this way? And do you feel the Fact your Body Adapt to the high Freq. So that you dont get sore, helps you to gain better muscle?
👍👍👍
When i do for example 3 Sets of stair Calfe raises i got Doms for maybe 5 to 7 days. When i do 4sets rdls i get Doms for around 5 6 days. This muscle (calfes and Harmstrings) are my weakest. What would you do? Training less ? Or Training this muscles more even with Some Doms?
Are you still gaining? I am assuming you are training these body parts more than once a week. Normally once you get used to a level of training soreness goes away. If it doesn’t then review your recovery. If that is being managed properly then you may be doing too much volume.
Suck it up, sleep more, eat more
@@paladindanse98 doesent Matter, i tried
@@Omar1066 Harmstrings i dunno, at least i got Stronger. Calfes hard to say If i am really getting Stronger because of the Hand Support hard to track 💯 percent. But Calfes have Stopp growing
@@ew-zd1th are you increasing hamstring/calve size? Are your lifts increasing? Take a deload perhaps
40:20 10to15 Sets is maintaince? I would say 15 is relativ high vol.
For him. Optimal volume is different for everyone
In the past you Had gained in i think in Maximum 1 years right? 5kg muscle with borger fagerlis Methode. Why do you stopped IT? And do you think you would get bigger now If you havent stopped Training Like this?
I didn't really stopped that way of training - it was a moderate volume program, which is how I trained for the most part
I can totally see 20+ sets on medial deltoids and lats however for PECS i crazy hard
Depends on exercises and if stretched or not. Regular old chest press machine and a pec dec..sure. Incline Flyes and fullest ROM DB press? Not so much.
@@DJcs187 fair enough its just like quads, right? You can do 20 leg ext a week but lets see if people can do full rom pendulums for even 10 sets
@@GuaridoNutri exactly
With high frequency training, honestly it's not that crazy
Clearly bought and paid for by BIG VOLUME.
59:09 I think strengthlog does that. For both Android and iOS 🤝
noo i checked that before, surely didnt miss that
The only issue I have is that a study comes out and all of a sudden that seems to be interpreted as the truth.
Science is not the be all end all, just because something is scientifically, theoretically possible, doesn't mean that it's practically possible.
Take the study as it's meant to be, it hints towards this.
Who do you hold responsible for this? The scientists or the media/influencers?
@@Omar1066 Scientists
Very true , once you are a experienced lifter you can see the bs in a lot of studies
Wow 31 sets? He must be using light loads.
Unfortunately, the research shows that after we turn 50, genes for muscle hypertrophy begin to inactivate and anabolic resistance kicks in regardless of training and nutrition. Enjoy the gains while they last young man and make sure you nurture your other pursuits!
