Now I can clearly make the difference between synchronous motors and generators. I have to admit that I was so confused when reading the power books on synchronous machines.

The way the material is presented really helps understand the topic and helps solve synchronous machine problems. The way Electrical PE review has presented the material makes it really to understand the topic.
You really go over the difference between synch generators vs synch motors as well as induction generators and induction motors. I could never differentiate between them in the past. All I can say is... Bravo!!

The best parts were the equivalent circuit models that showed how the electric current creates the magnetic flux. More importantly where the internal voltage equations for motors and generators that apply directly to the PE exam.
Yes, however electrical angle delta is the lead lag angle between the terminal voltage and the induced voltage while the mechanical angle alpha is the mechanical displacement measured between the matching stator and excited rotor poles.
I had never had any instruction on synchronous machines before watching these video's. Super helpful.

Many of the questions regarding this topic are qualitative and this video is extremely helpful in answering those.
