    I had never had any instruction on synchronous machines before watching these video's. Super helpful.

    This video is a blessing for us, the undergraduates, simply and understandably explained!

      Glad you enjoyed it Ronny. We have a lot more example videos of rotating machines on our channel that may be of help to you.

    One of my weakest topics from the PE exam was Synchronous Machines. With the clear explanation of synchronous motors and how they operate really provide the details I need to fully understand this topic.

    The DREADED Synchronous machines topic can easily be understood after watching this video. Zach has a great way of making things click.

    I have never deal with synchronous machines until I start preparing for the PE exam. Your detailled step-by-step method helps me to understand the essentials. Now I can clearly make the difference between synchronous motors and generators. I have to admit that I was so confused when reading the power books on synchronous machines.

    Synchronous machines have consistently been a topic that I've struggled with. This is a great introduction.

    Zach you are definitely gifted in teaching. After watching this video and taking your online course I was able to understand this important section in the PE exam.

    The way the material is presented really helps understand the topic and helps solve synchronous machine problems. The way Electrical PE review has presented the material makes it really to understand the topic.

    Many of the questions regarding this topic are qualitative and this video is extremely helpful in answering those.

    You really go over the difference between synch generators vs synch motors as well as induction generators and induction motors. I could never differentiate between them in the past. All I can say is... Bravo!!

    It was not until I found this video by Zach that I really learned about the topic - he explains it very clear and simple!

    Synchronous machines are my weak area compared to every other subject for the power PE exam. But after reviewing these videos and working out problem after problem, its soon becoming my strongest area.

    This was a subject that I did not understand well in college, but indeed you nailed it. You made the definitions easy than going to the moon (if I can say that ). Thank you.

    The best parts were the equivalent circuit models that showed how the electric current creates the magnetic flux. More importantly where the internal voltage equations for motors and generators that apply directly to the PE exam.

    So do u mean delta is the electrical equivalent of mechanical angle alfa. In alter

    • @electricalpereview
      @electricalpereview  6 років тому

      Yes, however electrical angle delta is the lead lag angle between the terminal voltage and the induced voltage while the mechanical angle alpha is the mechanical displacement measured between the matching stator and excited rotor poles.
