    Very unique looking folding bike.

I bought one last month, so i'm a pretty new reviewer, but already am over 850km with it, especially mountains rides (on roads) in France and Switzerland. I bought for its capacity to fold and be carried in the train which was very convenient. The bike is pretty heavy though and not very practical to carry once folded, but it's still ok... and it's super fast to fold/unfold which is good. This is really the most negative point i found so far with this bike. A front suspension would have been a nice add too as (the 2nd negative point) you can feel every bump on the road (not to mention the forest paths) and it's a bit tiring for the hands/wrists after a long ride (i wear gloves and it's ok though). I honestly thought the battery range was overestimated for advertising and was very happily surprised of it's capacity and range! I'm 80kg weight, and in one charge, i had a 60km ride 2 days ago and 39km yesterday (nearly 100km then) and still had 2 bars over 5 left! The range was of course a little shorter in the swiss mountains than it is in Paris surroundings but i managed to get over 60km there without problem... (i have a 400Wh only). After 25km/h the power stops but i didn't feel the transition really! Actually this heavy bike rides very easily over 25km/h on a flat surface so you save battery then. I mainly used it on the "eco" mode which was enough for most of the time, and put "tour" or "sport" for the hardest parts. Never used "Turbo" ! :-)) The bike is very strong too and i put it in difficult conditions in and off roads without problem. I also carried some 15kgs luggages in the back and honestly didn't feel i had it! Last of it, the light is amazingly powerful and nights rides are a joy! So i'm very happy about this bike and would recommend it to others...

Hello. I'm thinking of buying the Vecktron but I have doubts. Please, can you tell me if you have done routes on dirt roads? I am afraid that with a 20' wheel it will be very unstable and risk falling... Thank you and enjoy such a wonderful bike.

@@izasas4234 Hello! I've over 3000kms with my Vektron now. I'm still very happy. Mainly used it on roads, but a few times on dirt roads also. I must say the bike is best on roads, though very easy to use it everywhere, but maybe not on very accidented paths as this bike isn't made for this type of rides. You can still do it though as it is a pretty strong bike, and the only problem i would say on such roads, is comfort, especially for the hands. This apart, never had problems with wheels size. Of course, a mountain bike would be best, but the Vektron can do the job if the hike isn't too long.

Thank you very much for responding so soon. I really appreciate your opinion! I love the Vektron (above the Brompton which I have discarded). I am very close to making the decision, although it is a lot of money, really.
You've been very kind. Enjoy your super bike a lot! Best regards.

@@izasas4234 You're welcome! Vektron is expensive, but it well worth the money. It's a long lasting and solid bike. You won't regret... ;-)

Patiently waiting for a 2020 Gen 3 model with new Bosch performance line!! Complete weatherproof would also be great in the rainy pacific northwest.

Is the motor on a 2017 Vektron S10 significantly different than the motor on a 2022 version? Would you notice a difference in power up hills? Considering buying a used one but want to know if it will have the needed power.

Not so easy to return your bike to the dealer for maintenance if bought online. Many local bike shops will not touch an ebike even for basic maintenance.

I bought this bike in August and only done 199 kilometres on it. I’ve kept it in my house and never been out in the rain. I’m not using it and want to sell it so where is the best place to sell please. I’m thinking of buying a generation 3. in the summer .

Hi Jane! If you haven't sold it yet, you might look into Facebook Marketplace... glad you're thinking of a newer one!
