Absolutely, violent misogyny comes from an environment of male enabling. Granted, he probably was a sick little bastard to begin with, but his parents enabled it instead of contesting it is vile. They're both very clearly quite manipulative to attempt this thing too, and both way overestimated their own intelligence in their attempts at concealment. If they say they don't really have it, I educate them on how much it really belittles people who have debilitating OCD and how difficult it makes it for people to get treated seriously. One of the most bone-chilling aspects of this case is that during the police interview, when his parents informed him of Tristyn's death--even though he was the _LAST_ person to see her alive--he turned to them and said, "How is that my problem?"
If that isn't haunting enough, while in the back of the police cruiser after his arrest, he sent a Snapchat photo holding up a peace sign with the caption "Hey guys has anybody seen Tristyn lately?"

I always hate when, in fiction or in real life, people help their love ones to escape the consequences of their own actions. Like, if you love someone, you should hold them accountable for what they do, even the worst things. No friendship, love, sense of family or whatever should be stronger than the sense of justice and the compassion for the victim. And if a loved one guilts you because you aren't supportive enough, well, they are the bad one, not you.

Protecting a child (even an adult one) is one thing but helping them escape justice for something like this isn't protecting them. That's enabling at best and criminal to boot. Helping a child to face consequences when young when any things they did wrong are likely minor does a bigger favour in terms of teaching them the proper way of behaving and is helpful in later life.

This is so sad all around. For a child's life to be taken away in a instant. For the child who talks to himself, sees demons and murders. The way he killed her, showing no emotion at all. I look back when he spoke to his parents, he was totally sane. My one brother use to see and hear demons but he had many mental issues. He also was diagnosed and he didn't kill either. My heart goes out to this family and friends. Prayers being said for them. Thank you for another video. Stay safe and take care.

I’ve got a younger sibling their age even, so her story has been particularly painful. I appreciate your respectful handling. All around the main street there were different teal ribbons and other memorials for Tristyn, some still up now. The worst part is that the area schools did NOTHING in response. Not even a paltry attempt to incorporate some violence prevention efforts to address the attitudes towards women and girls that lead to preventable and senseless tragedies like this.

Aiden gets the Razzy award for "worst actor in prison"... Even a genuine mental case would not keep asking "what's going on" after a sentence with a statement. And looking around the room like that is also proof of bad acting, especially when you look around so damn quickly in a nonsensical way to pretend whatever is talking to you is moving about the area that erratically. Monster!...he will get a death sentence after all, only in the most gruesome of ways by the inmates who will use him to "wash their clothes and toss their moldy salad" if you get my meaning...
