I’ve reached an age in life where being completely consumed by a new artist rarely happens. I didn’t think it would happen again in my life. But Weyes Blood music has a certain blend of elements combined that somehow unlocked that long closed door of wonder again. I am so grateful to have that feeling again. Listening to her albums in quiet introspection can be a truly spiritual and emotionally cathartic experience. I don’t use terms like that lightly.
Yes same. I'm in my early 40s and I never thought I would be obsessed with a new album and artist again but along comes Titanic Rising and WB. I am grateful - it makes me feel young. She really is something else.
@@MrPanacea999 I understand. I keep coming back to it. And have gotten into her older recordings lately. There is something hard to describe that is both familiar and yet peerless in her style.
I love her. She clearly is an old soul but has a really caring way about her. Oh and the cherry on the cake is how wicked smart she is. So articulate when she describes the meaning of her song. One last thing, she is so damn beautiful!!
natalie is the most honest and real human being i have ever know, she is like a very old intelectual soul in a very young body discovering this feelings of humanity over and over again... insane
i don't care for her music very much, but i really admire her for her stream of consciousness, the thought she articulates into everything and how she manages to speak on it. i do like generation why, maybe the rest needs to grow on me. but overall, her artistry is undeniable and i'm better having heard of her.
"I think we should see other people" - I heard that this is what the seven words are, did she confirm this?? someone plz link me to the video where she says what they mean
Jorge Valentine her voice is amazing so not like she needs a group but I saw this radio session she did and man the guys she was playing with sounded great. It be awesome if it was the same ppl always
True, but it's hard to know how to responsibly use it until you're inundated with it and realize its potential effects (addiction, laziness, depression, etc)
I don't know if you still agree with this message you wrote two years ago. I agree with you, it's just that sometime you can't choose, specially if you have too work with it and don't have all your friends living next door, you can spend sooooo much time in front of this narrow square thing.
laugh all you want but you could make any of these beautiful songs into ugly doom metal songs and it would still work, especially Generation Why, don't know why maybe i'm insane but when I listen to that song I could totally hear Burning Witch as her backing band, I would take ten years off my life just to hear that.

She's special.
@@MrPanacea999 Same age, same feeling...I heard 'Movies' on the radio one day and it grabbed me in a way a song hasn't in a lonnnnggg time.

Just found Weyes Blood this year, and she is consistently the most incredible sounding musician I've heard in a LONG time.
Her music is so heartbreakingly beautiful
natalie is the most honest and real human being i have ever know, she is like a very old intelectual soul in a very young body discovering this feelings of humanity over and over again... insane
I literally cried when she started singing Seven Words 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 her voice is otherworldly ridiculous 😭😭😭😭😭
Feel ya. 'Grapevine' off her latest makes me weep.
That suit is beyond magnificent
Natalie has the voice of an angel.
She is an angel /ella es un angel
That slide guitar makes this song happen! and Natalie is so amazing!
A great songwriter and singer: brilliant, intelligent, and profound. What more can we ask for?
this drummer is in all of them, I love him with Connan Mockasin and Mac demarco, and now with Weyes Blood
So insanely talented. I’m so happy that I know of her music

"I think we should see other people" - I heard that this is what the seven words are, did she confirm this?? someone plz link me to the video where she says what they mean
"persona in soul's groove"

Shaun Butler yup lol just noticed
Jamming with Daryl Hall in modern times
Por dios¡¡¡
as a fellow Gemini I really get her
Sherlock on Drums
What are the seven words?
I think we should see other people??
Brad MacDonald I always thought it was “I love you” and “you have to know” but now I’m questioning if that’s what she meant lol
“I like putting pineapple on my pizza”. That is a cause for many breakups so I’m told.
“I don’t want to do this anymore” ???
Does anybody knows what's the Keyboard she is playing??
the same korg that practically everyone uses
so much reverb... but it must've been great bein' there anywayss
@morymb of course reverb is awesome and of course cathedral reverbs are great! i even have a reverb pedal called cathedral and i ain't kiddin'
Why are the band members always different or they just look different? :(
Danny Rios in the KEXP session she explained that she hires musicians depending the city
Danny Rios playing on bass here is Australian artist Jack Ladder - highly recommended listening!
Jorge Valentine her voice is amazing so not like she needs a group but I saw this radio session she did and man the guys she was playing with sounded great. It be awesome if it was the same ppl always
Aaron De Vries thanks buddy!
She sometimes switches up band members depending on tour
Joan Baez voice!!
The technology is not the issue. How we use it is.

matthew daniel Siskin you can’t expect flawed humans to not corrupt something that powerful.

I think she started out doing thrash stuff.
She came from a noise/power electronics background. That factoid made me love her even more.
It sounds beautiful, but I can hardly understand any of the words.
Reminds me of Annie Clark before she went a bit weird
The bass don't make the harmonies?
Better put a stone..
@macaaan 1:00 in.. / 13:40
