Bought mine 1989 from Bromley, still wearing them on holidays.
Scarpa is not the manufacturer of Travel Fox....
Scarpa is italian for shoe,the wording on the velcro touch close strap translates as "shoe designed for sports performance".
Still got a pair from 89 and a pair of low tops. 2 paper rounds I had!

“9302” is the model number or type, not the date made. Mine were bought in June 1989 and have the same number :) leather on the tongue is falling apart but they’ve aged better than I have over the last 30 years!
They were £79.99 and I loved mine!!! I got a pair of troops,the high topps with the metal buckle that you could remove for Xmas 1990 that were £99 and my most expensive shoe back in the day!!! #Spx #Bk #Troop #Travel Fox
I had these in black also. I wore them so much that one of the tongues fell out, so I buried them at my local park. They're probably still there lol.
they are dope,I have a pair not to everyones taste but I love late 80s culture. Music,cars, fashion for down the list

still got them and you can buy the 2015 versions from sports direct UK..... it 's not all about £200 Jordan's or kanye West's yeeezeysss.

The sports direct ones are awful though. I have the originals - the SD ones are nothing in comparison. Cheap.

Memory lane ;-) I still have (and wear) my originals the same as the video from 1990's - i had the all blacks too - they were expensive . The model has just been relaunched by sports direct for £30 - however the quality does not appear to be a patch on these originals - I doubt they will still be around in 20 years time ;-)
Still have mine from 1990. The stitching on the top is red though for some reason. They were £50 which for a 15 year old at the time was quite a lot :) Those new Sports Direct ones are awful in comparison btw. Yours are in good nick like mine. Still wear them occasionally.
The original versions are absolutely quality, very high spec. When Mike Ashley brought the name Travel Fox , he manufacturered some cheap crap which he sells in sports direct, these are quite clearly not the same thing
I had the weird brown animal print ones , so wanted this type but no way were my parents coughing up for them lol , purchased the ones from sports direct on ebay for 30 quid last week , mehh , Yep orig ones were way much better quality leather

Those are not vintage they are New...the loge on the insoles are the latest logo.....so as the logo on the yellow strip
The sports direct knock offs were completely different. These here are identical to the ones I bought in 1989 except mine have red stitching. Some had nubuck leather on the green parts and some didn’t, and some had red or black stitching on the top and some didn’t. These ones are vintage.
