Kawasaki H2R vs Lamborghini Huracan Turbo | Carwow Drag Race
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 вер 2024
- The guys from Carwow gave us a call for a drag race, we knew they'd bring something fast so we had only one option, the Kawasaki H2R. This is the bike that's been used for all those dyno runs you've seen on here, it's been around the TT with James Hillier and we even used it 6 years ago on our Nissan GTR race. We were originally due to race a crazy fast Nissan GTR, that broke before we had chance so out came the twin turbo 1100 hp Lamborghini Huracan. We hope you enjoy our behind the scenes look at one of the best days we've ever had. #carwow #bikevscar #dragrace
Longer swing-arm is absolutely necessary on the H2r if your gonna drag race 😂
the lambo has drag tires its only fair it has a swing arm.
Even the H2 needs a swing arm!
or skillful as dani pedrosa to stop those wheelie
@@chiranrimal4693Dani’s MotoGP bike has anti-wheelie, that’s why it’s so quick off the line.
Longer arm or more weight to the front wheel will display it's maximum power in Nnja H2R .
Once the H2R hooks up it’s absolutely ballistic..
fr after about 3rd gear 8-10k rpms its gone
No... now is the ZX15R....
I wanna see it race a plaid or Chiron maybe a speedtail too
I could only imagine. Holy cow
@@texasstreetkings537 it's already smoked a veyron over a mile.
The only car that beat it was a 1500hp tuned GTR.
One of the best motorcycle personalities on the web.
Yea, the dude is so thrilled when talking about motorcycles. Love that he's doing what he loves.
Chris is the best, he´s the motorcycle journalists final form, charismatic, knowledgable, skilled.
💯 absolutely
I love him all of his content are soo good
I agree too.
The problem with the H2R or even with the H2 in a drag race is that you can't have full control over its power if you have a stock swing arm. Its body is too small to handle such incredible power of it engine. Get a 12-inch extended swing arm and let's see how powerful that beast is.
Yeah I think an extension on it will definitely always win.
but then you lose cornering capabilities. Yes I understand if someone would want a track bike would go for an r1 or an s1000rr or a ducati, but it feels nice to meet somewhere in the middle.
Yes longer swing arm would easy beat that Lambo
@@talibal-faris4436 absolutely right.
even after full control 300bhp ain't beating 600 bhp.. fact.!! h2r is a beast but in two wheeler world not in four wheeler
You need money for racing a Lambo, and steel balls for racing an H2r
I know someone who has spent 60k on his bike . Not always as cheap as people think

It's the fastest unicycle I've ever seen.
😂.. you said it..
Think he can’t handle it well yet,
He never really for drag racing.
Get it stretch, lower down and nitro tank it..
@@alvin1979wong he actually had great control in my opinion. I mean, not everybody can handle a 1000cc properly, let alone a supercharged one making around 310hp on 2 wheels. It's pretty insane to me. But yeah, I get what you're saying. A stretched swingarm would definitely help.
Ugly but fast
Not sure why, but I misread this to be fastest uncle I've seen and I found it's still valid.
underrated comment 😂😂
Watched the Carwow drag race yesterday and this video is what I was hoping for afterwards with some behind the scenes.
Ditto. Cool to see both sides :)
Qué hago la estoy arbor
Kawasaki deserve a medal for producing something so bonkers.
@Panty Sniffer Nothing close to this hp leap forward.
This was an absolute treat! Initially watched it on the Carwow channel and was stoked to see Chris but then this popped up and it was even better to see more of the background and chatter between him and Matt (who also comes across as a top lad). Really, really enjoyed this. Chris is the best at stuff like this because he's genuinely enthusiastic about ANYTHING with wheels and an engine! More collaboration with Carwow would be great too 😎👍
Cheers, we're chatting to them about future races...
@@BikeWorldTVshow that would be awesome but if they're gonna keep bringing 1000bhp+ 4x4 beasts then maybe get Chris to find a nice street legal drag 'busa or something mad like that! Massive swing arm to get it off the line like a rocket. That would be really, really cool. I know James at JHS in Bristol has built a very cool GSXR1000 drag bike that is wicked!
3:10 -"Stay away from me, you're looking too sexy
-"You weirdo"
The type of content I've been waiting for, from a comparison like that! 😂
Once the H2R gets going, it just freaking disappears!!!
There is literally no one I'd rather watch on UA-cam than Chris. Just seems so genuine and very entertaining. Keep up the good work!
Honestly one of the best bike vs car vids I've ever seen. Such a rush to watch a talented rider on such an awesome bike
If that H2R had its own stock exhaust, he would have made people have their ears covered.
🤣🤣💪💪💪
Superb Chris. The H2r has always been a handful. Hats off to you for keeping it under control
Yessss Chris you did amazing on that beast! Keyboard warriors probably never ridden a powerful bike or even a bike at all.. I appreciate how difficult it is!! Job well done look forward to the next video
I had a turbocharged vmax back in 85 that didnt need a front tire for much cept sittin. And it was only around 250 horse that handled horribly. It was a death machine.
Brilliant been waiting for this, get a real sense of the anticipation waiting at the line. Brilliant awesome job, want to get my tuned h2 on the runway at some point, only 250 at the wheel so positively sedate compared to the H2R!
Cheers, we can arrange that…
Well you can take the standard H2 to 350 HP or higher, but get ready to work on the bike more often than you will ride it, also to stop the wheelies you need to stretch it...
Chop's tuned H2 with CarWow tuned cars is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Add an extended swingarm as well . In fact I want to see a rematch with the H2R with a longer swingarm
The h2r dynoed at 250hp at the rear wheel and was claimed at 310 flywheel.
Some UA-cam guys in the states are running over 300 at the rear wheel.
Remember, the bike is straight out of the factory, the car is maxed out
Maxed out?? There are 3000hp Lambos.

H2 is a stock and h2r is a tune too
@@nicholassebastian28 not it isn’t both are factory stock

Gawd dayyyuuuuuummm the Kawasaki H2R is a pure powerful NINJA. That thing zoomed off like a rocket.
I watched the Carwow video and it was hilarious watching you trying to keep the front wheel down. Would love to see a stretched swing arm on that H2 when against £100+k cars.
Yes, bring in the streched one please
Stretched ruins it though. Kawasaki spent millions creating the perfect track bike.
@@willspeakman2461 I normally hate stretched swingarms but when you're on a runway and can't get the power down, it's an easy way to stop (or likely just lessen, in this case) the wheelies.
check out JoeSTI he smokes every car on the strip with his stretched H2
@@willspeakman2461 perfect track bike that wheels at 150 😂🤦🏿 has to much power to just SWB
This is so much better than the Carwow video. Thanks, Chris!
Cheers, wish we had their numbers! 😂
You need like 6" more swingarm to keep that front end down or at least try
But then you just burn the rear tire
Compromise give it 4 maybe 5.5" more swingarm and see if ifs burning the rear tire or not
6" is a bit much, gonna lose a lot of traction 4" would be a good in betweener. Unless they invent adjustable swing arms. Or we get holeshot devices on production bikes
Just put a set of struts and wheelybars on the bike and it's over for the lambo
Great video, both appreciate the engineering that goes into both machines, good banter, so one more person and new Top Gear hosts that include bike's!
Kawasaki should give you the H2R as a thank you for all the awesome footage over the last 6 years . big :-)
That is off the hook! I soiled myself slightly just watching. Fantastic ride and vid, thank you. I will send this to my mate who is prepping and riding a 450hp Busa for an attempt at a land speed record.
Much better production and insight than the carwow vid. Never would have thought you were dragging the back brake to push the revs for the supercharger.
Good point - that was an interesting detail Chris mentioned.
Didnt expect to see Chris on a Carwow video, looking forward to more crossovers to be honest :D
I mean, one that Lambo has some serious drag tyres on and if that H2R was set up for drag, then it would have been fair? I could be wrong. Just asking. Also, I wanted the bike to win haha.
With an extended swingarm and a lowered front end that H2R would cut 2 seconds off it´s 1/4 mile time, however that would make this video less fun :P
Against an extended H2R, if would have a different result...
@@Juuul89 Haha, thanks for clarifying! Just wanted the bike to win!
@@juliuscarlopoblete2092 Same thoughts :)
@@sagarthapa3765 Nope nope H2R with a better rider will beat that Lambo at 1/4 mile with stock height
Kenan Sofunglu Ran 9.4 @170 mph
This Lambo also ran 9.4 @156 mph
So it's close and at 1/2 Mile H2R just simply wins
I came to this channel from the Carwow video, and I have to say, your presentation is just great, such a calm and articulate personality.
That was pretty ballsie stuff Chris. "Pogo stick" pretty much summed it up.
15:34 that is the expression we all ride for. Thanks Chris
car has a serious take off win but mid speed acceleration is all the h2r's way. awesome stuff to watch with great mutual respect between the the car and bike guys.
Car quicker off the line, bike quicker once rolling. Matter of grip. Bike = Skill, car = child's play. Simples
No, no, and no: its not about grip, but about what many people here write about; a way to keep the front wheel of the bike on the ground. A motorcycles geometry prevents it from getting off the line as fast as a fast car, because the wheel base is way too short on the bike.and the center of gravity is very high. If you apply full power at he start the bike will flip over. The car does not have this issue. This means that you will have to put a very long swing arm on the bike or a wheelie bar, but then you have also created a monstrosity that is unridable everywhere but on a drag strip.
The same physics applies to braking; the short wheelbase of the bike will make it flip over the front wheel if you grab the brake lever too hard. This is why a F1 car is always very much faster around a track than a MotoGP bike, but it also makes bikes much more challenging and fun to ride.
@@rapido4665 So putting down all the power on One wheel compared to four like most super/hyper cars doesn't count then ? You are partly right in my book fella. Bike is more fun and more skill required. A fat rich boy can be quick around a track with a car, not so on a bike.
@@WolfgangVonKempelen838 Exactly; just look at the fastest accelerating cars and bikes; dragsters, they all have only rear wheel drive. Grip does not improve with more wheels or wider wheels, race cars have wide wheels because they last longer, more rubber takes longer to scrub off.
If you did pay attention in school, you may remember that friction between two surfaces depends only on the friction coefficient of the surfaces, and the weight on them, not the size of said surfaces.
If you encounter ice on the road, you dont put wider tires on your car, but tires with higher friction coefficient, or spikes.
@@rapido4665 I haven't been to school but I see bikers coming off in races because the bike's front tyre lost grip. So yes it is not about grip is it ? Just friction indeed
H2 needs a extended swingarm!!!!!
That was H2R
My two favorite channels together 🔥😍
Now if the H2R had somewhat of a longer wheelbase, that would be a bit of a different story
Matt is looking @ the H2R like a 5 yrs old kid who just met his fav celebrity.
You know what's awesome, I just saw this race over at Carwow, and coincidentally saw this!!
I was confused between buying a Kawasaki H2R vs Lamborghini Huracan Turbo This video cleared my mind thanks. I shall rather use my bicycle. Thanks.
Been waiting for this from your point of view after watching the carwow video
It's good to be terrified of it. It means you have respect for the machine!!
Chris you’re a madman, FairPlay, first time I saw one , was hillier at the TT , we were half way down Bray hill and scared the shit out of my dad, such a impressive bike
saw this the other day, chris did a great job - great personality, and brilliant rider - what a bike!
Hey nice to meet you guys this is the Lambo we brought over for this epic race..
That bike is serious on roll we trapped 191 in half a mile and bike was lenghts ahead..
Look forward to the next race in future
Good to meet you too, we’ll be in touch as we’re planning some of our own races…
That Lambo got totally S M O K E D 🌪
What a great watch once again . Brilliant work mate. Live your channel 🙏🏼👍🏼
Loved the look on Mat's face when he was learning about the bike and how bonkers the stats are.
I think that it will need a holeshot system similar to what is used in MotoGP, lowering the cg. It could get much better results. Awesome video. Greetings from a Brazilian subscriber.
Motogp has wheelie control, the H2R has not, but it needs it. Badly
Nope just change gearing in H2R it would be fastest bike ever longer first gear no wheelies off the line
Short 2nd 3rd for crazy acceleration 4th should be in middle to keep constant acceleration
Longer 5th 6th gears for top end acceleration and never lose to any car
H2R crazy bike 🏍👍👍👍👍
Kudos to the one riding this bike ,i have seen in Turkey race drag where Ninja H2R will performbits full capacity.
7.56 lol the bike is still on the back wheel. incredible
Great Job Chris. Love your vids.
That’s one crazy fast Lambo
Guys in the USA are tuning this machine to about 320 hp.... at the wheel. But they have aftermarket intercoolers, supercharger gears (higher boost rpm), extended swingarm for traction, race petrol, super sticky tires, high quality ECU tunes to handle it.
God Bless America.
Joe STI....... he loves an H2.
You're talking about Joe Sti and 650IB . True they have done this but they can't ride for shit
not like that lambo is stock xD
@@SKBKER Maybe they ride for pleasure, and not for poop.
Surely holding it on the rear brake to get the boost up only works on a turbocharged bike, not a supercharged one? I recall having to do that on the 750 Turbo to get the boost up for overtakes, but on the H2 the boost is controlled by engine speed not exhaust gasses...
Could act like a "brake torque" on a car. Was thinking the same, but it apparently works :)
I wonder if Kawasaki would consider offering longer swing arm as an option for the H2R
H2r is made for track not for drag
When you break it down.. it's easy to drive a car. Like a baby could do it.. the balls you. Need to launch a bike hard are 100x bigger than that needed to just put your foot down.
100% I always say. Cars have so much tech its mad. And don't forget the 4 wheel drive and automatic gearbox. Riding the H2R fast is something only a few Men on this earth can do. Riding any motorcycle in general fast is a skill in and of its own.
Of all the vids on UA-cam yours are the most entertaining because you seem like a great chap and down to earth.
Great way to see what's behind the scene when Carwow films too
Wellllll… that moto gop has such sophisticated electronics to help with everything
Chris, we all love you mate and I think quite a few of us are properly scared of what could happen. So not too many of these insane adventures on mental bikes like the H2R, Alright?
I would love to ride the H2R, I have rode all kinds of bikes but none with that power to weight ratio, still my favorite bike that I owned was a 96' ZX7R, down on power by today's standards it was one of the best handling bikes of its era, if I was ever to purchase another bike it would be a ZX7R!
Dude i have a 03 zx6r and i want so fucking bad to purchase one zx7r. So sexy machine, looks and sounds badass. Unfortunately I've never ride one nor see one in real life, they are rare af.

You should do H2R VS Turbo Hayabusa
Old bikes vs new bikes through the years would be an entertaining watch. How has performance developed over the years. Ie k5 gsxr vs latest.
Said it before and I'll say it again - best bike reviewer anywhere: full stop!
Lets see them race over half a mile
The H2R needs mini jet engines... placed on the wings, pointing to the sky; to keep the front down.
If the jet engines were pointing to the sky it would make the bike fly up not keep the front down
@@cyanus7347 That would depend on which end is pointing towards the sky.
Coming from riding an h2, if u don't get the bike stretched, you will be fighting wheelies all the way until u get out of 3rd gear
still remember how he was giggling when reviewing that h2r on losail circuit
It’s a shame they put a akrapovic exhaust on an h2r. Was expecting a vandemon or Brock’s. Would’ve made it wayyyy louder and better performance
I think that if the H2R had the Extended / Stretched swingarm , I think the Lamborghini even with the twin turbos would have had its work cut out trying to outrun the H2R from a standing start. For a Stock motorcycle even with a Factory supercharger and Only 300 / 315 hp. Still held its own against a Lamborghini with Twin Turbos that was pushing 1000 / 1100 hp. Great job guys , The Car and the Motorcycle. This was a Fun video. Congrats to you all !
that uncontrollable power of Ninja H2R,Oh God
Kawasaki sits quietly in the corner at the party watching the other brands bragging about their fast bikes.
Then brings out a bike that slays them all.
Too much power for a drag race without long swingarm, lowered etc
Great race though and awesome vehicles :)
That's insane 👍🏻
Great video, thank you 👏🏻👏🏻
the launch control
Carwow is one of the greatest car racers 🗿
Nice to see the otherside of Carwow. But couldn’t you fit a wheelie bar. Launch would be mental.
Not in the time we had
Wow.... you did a great great GREAT INSANE JOB. I came here after I watch the race from CARWOW. THANKS!
Honestly, the H2 is a great achievement but what good is all that power if it cant be applied effectively?
It was more of a cock waving exercise from Kawasaki really .
No race series for it and far too expensive for a usable drag bike
You can't "build up boost" on a supercharger by having the throttle open more. That would only work on a turbocharger, which is powered by the exhaust, so can be sensitive to the throttle and the revs.. The only way you can "build boost" with a supercharger is with revs, and revs only. The "charger" is powered purely by the crankshaft, no matter what the throttle is doing. So the brake should have nothing to do with it..
Finally a real Kawasaki ninja H2R not just some random post on UA-cam tittle Kawasaki ninja H2R speed but it was Ninja H2
H2R was like:
*POWER WHEELIES AT 6TH GEAR LESGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!*
the front tire lifting after every shift is wild
Brilliant to see this side, saw its from Mat’s side 1st but love this view being a bike guy 1st
H2r can beat this car if track is about few miles long
Absolutely Maniac... Good job guys 👍
At 10:17 he says he will ride the back brake to get the boost up more. I can see that working on a turbocharged engine, but does it work on a supercharged engine? I thought the boost on a supercharged engine was completely determined by RPM. The throttle body would be more open, but I wouldn't have thought it would be more open enough to make a difference.
I wondered that too .
I've got a 370 horse supercharged busa with an extended arm that spools instantly as crank driven.
Well over halfway (on a mile) before I can open the taps fully
Race starts at 8:48
I have lost the count how many times I have watched the 6yrs old video of you testing of Kawasaki H2 variants in 🇶🇦Qatar Losail International circuit.
