    its a LOT louder than I thought it would be. Playing in my den with volume on 1 is more than enough

    I've had mine for...at least 3 yrs? Great little amp. Hmm, ok, I just went and checked my Sweetwater purchase history, my mistake, I ordered mine 1/10/2013! Wow, time goes by fast!
    Well I can attest to the fact I've used it nearly every single day, most the time multiple times, and never had a problems with it:)

      this is a good amp for practicing by yourself but if your in a punk or heavy metal band don't buy it step up and get the big daddy amp 300 watt amp more power won't blow up like this thing I was told by another musician friend never buy these little amps if your playing heavy music they don't last very long

      It's November 2023 as of this reply, I just bought mine,and I have 5 different Ampeg model amps, and I use this Micro CL more than the others and I just bought it a month ago. It's worth every penny.

    It's a tempting little amp. I hope you do a side by side with VR when it arrives. I've been considering one or the other to pair up with a Squier Bass VI.

    I recently got a new bass for recording with but then have found I bloody love playing it, told myself I don't need an amp I can just use the UAD SVT that has worked great so far, but then I saw these and now I want one just because it looks cool

    I like the fact that you can rotate the logo to use the cabinet sideways. Unfortunately if you crank it, the cabinet rattles because I guess it isn't as sturdily constructed as the head.

    really works there with the 'P' I think. For solid-state and the size of these babies, I am really impressed with the tone and punch from them...'Nice!!' , A nice wee compact effects unit will go well with these wee guys as well I think

    • @alansamsmusic
      @alansamsmusic  2 роки тому +2

      Some of that may be coming from the background noise in the room. Also the Pbass and Ric are both a little noisy on their own. I know the fan on the 200 watt head is loud.

    I am looking for a bigger amp right now and I have heard few complaints about these, how is yours? Besides I am worried that most of these smaller solid-state amps can sound too clean but I guess that isn't the case with this one. I'd be happy if it has its own color with its pre-set eq curve and harmonic distortion and the cab with some character from its bigger brother.

    • @alansamsmusic

      This is a great practice amp, but if you're looking for something that's going to have some oomph behind it you might want to look at something bigger. This is great for practice and maybe a small venue. Thanks for checking out the video
