A debate involves an equal exchange between two parties, involving rules of debate and a standard of decorum. Unless Trump is put into a soundproof booth with a switchable microphone, neither of these two requirements will ever be met.

If there is a debate that both need to be placed in the glass boxes. Microphones should be able to be muted at the end of each debate, so that the other may not over talk his time. If they do this then I think it will be a fair debate and allow each person to be heard properly, because we all know that there's no way rump will stay to his own time or keep his mouth shut when President Biden is speaking.
I know this is possible because some of the old game shows used to do this .

Trump sat around watching Fox for hours everyday so he doesn’t see useless performative debates as the waste of valuable time that they are. There’s a well developed process for general election debates and things shouldn’t be different just because Trump wants it to be different.
