Edit: Truck is now running, everything works as it should. The only difference I would do is consolidate all the grounds at the pcm plug and connect them to the engine instead of deleting the ones that had no sensors attached to them anymore.

I’m swap a 12 into a 6.4 truck and having issues with the trans controller and need help with some wiring

Thanks for the video! I just swapped a 12 v into an 08 f250. I was careful cutting down the harness with the grounds as you said but I took off everything except the map, oil pressure, coolant temp, oil temp, AC, and all alternator wiring. When I plugged into truck today I’m showing an open bus circuit and my pats system is tripped. Any ideas on where to start? Thank you!

Hey boss, did you connect the wires for the turbo to each other? There’s 4 white wires , 2 have blue tracers I think and two are white

Hey man…appreciate the video! Do you remember what wire from the 6.4 harness you used for key on power to tie into the Cummins? I’m doing a 6.4 to 24v swap…I know what I need on the Cummins harness side but need to find a key on hot from the truck side. Thanks!

Hey boss, glad it helped. If I remember correctly I just used a fuse tap in the under hood fuse box that had 12v key on and hooked up there

Hey bro quick question I’ve got a 5.4 f-250 with a 5r110 and I’m planning on swapping in a 12V Cummins 1996 will the trans and the engine harness work if I do it your way?

It will work my way, just put the 5.4 sensors you need in the Cummins, and buy a tach helper for the tach if you need that, it converts the signal. I assume you know you can’t use the 5.4 trans? I don’t believe you can adapt it to a Cummins. But 6.0 5r110s are everywhere and cheap and should be a direct swap.
So keep your oil pressure, temp , sensors minimum

On the 08 6.4 cummins swap what all did you have to do to make the trans work Auto truck wants to work in 1st and second that's it

I’d say you have an issue with the trans, on my trucks the trans works fine after the swap with no tuning, it’s just off on shift times and such. Then I use hp tuners and have a guy named Randy Gilliam tune it. If you’re not on fummins tech on Facebook join it, lots of info there
