Hi Yasira, Thank you for your kind words. Over the 25 years we've been doing this, we find that patients do best with Prolotherapy when they are working toward being healthy overall. :) Wish you all the best!
Do you advise a patient with a right-sided lateral pelvic tilt due to SI joint dysfunction to rectify the imballance of the pelvis before or after the first injection with prolotherapy
Hi Yunus, Thank you for the question. In our office, we do not see that it is necessary. Most of our patients have been trying but it is not the root cause of their problem, the ligaments are. Thus, we have to address that first or alongside other therapies. PA Steilen-Matias addresses this issue in our other video: ua-cam.com/video/baS97ODlrhE/v-deo.html
I've been eating organic, whole foods since 2006. My daughter is in remission from VEO Crohn's and we eat a diet very low in grains, eggs and dairy because she can't have any of those to remain in remission. I don't seem to have a problem with anything but grains. I make everything from scratch (even bread if we do eat it but mostly eat almond bread) and intermittent fast everyday, and I'm as active as possible for my condition (hEDS). I use stevia and monk fruit and don't put sugar in anything. My husband always says it's not fair that I'm overweight. I don't eat like it. I'm coming to Caring Medical next week and I'm hoping you have some more advice for me because I need to get the weight off but it's not clear what else I could try that I haven't already. I have had cervical dystructure my entire adult life, and don't get the signal to my brain that I'm full. The only thing I've concluded is I'm not absorbing minerals due to low stomach acid, so I still feel hungry when I've eaten enough. I've been an avid learner and doer trying to learn about every aspect of health and nutrition for 20 years now, there's got to be something else I'm missing here.
I have a question about supplements when doing prolotherepy, so is it okay to take a supplements called glucosimine, chondrotine+MSM, silica, vitamin c, magnesium and vitamin d while doing prolotherepy or will that ruin the healing phase of it?
Hi ChaosCreationsTv - Thanks for the question. Most supplements that are known to aid in soft tissue healing, such as those you described work very well with Prolotherapy. For our patients, we can recommend specific supplements as part of the whole treatment program. If you are looking for a Prolotherapist, we would be happy to review your case and see you in our office. You can email us directly at info@caringmedical.com. Take care for now.
Hi Carli, Thanks for the question. In our experience, if that diet is right for the person's "Diet type" as we call it, then they do well with healing after treatments like Prolotherapy. When we ran our nutrition center years ago, there were some patients who were advised to go on a ketogenic type of diet, we called the Lion Diet. In our testing and clinical experience, as well as the research, there is no one single diet for everyone. We took a more individualized approach based on the patient's test results to determine which diet was best for their situation. We have some information on HauserDiet.com about the concept as well. Wish you all the best in health!
@@CaringmedicalProlotherapy thanks for the reply! Will the dextrose in prolotherpy injections cause any adverse blood sugar reactions which could impact the brain or heart of those who are already in ketosis for over a year?
Hi Dylan, Yes, and this is part of what a person has to work on for themselves, like nutrition, to optimize their ability to heal. We have more recently published a lot of information on the vagus nerve and healing which is related to this topic. Good vagal tone is important for healing and the ability to handle stress. May want to check that out. Wish you all the best in health!
I eat largely vegetarian. I realized that I don't get enough protein, so I started whey protein. I lost 5 lbs! Collagen is protein, my ligaments need that.
Such a hard thing to transition form. I find he failure is in Cold Turkey changing a diet ... The brain goes into withdrawal. I found for me is Taper slowly Into a healthy diet.
Hi Robert, You bring up a good point. Yes, building new habits take time, and those old connections to certain foods can be emotional to break for some people. Sure people can do a 14-day challenge or something like that to try including a vegetable dish or cutting out dessert/soda, etc. But it isn't going to be ingrained as it would be after a year. Just like learning any new skill or practicing a new discipline. It's tough for many people in the beginning, especially if they grew up on sugar cereals and a lot of processed junk food, or never learned to enjoy eating vegetables, etc. Hope your new year is going well, and you're enjoying a lot of delicious, healthy foods! All our best to you.
Hi laura b, PRP is a type of Prolotherapy. Prolotherapy is the term for regenerative injection therapy - it means proliferate (prolo) new tissue. Thanks for the question.
Why didn't you mention eating animal proteins and fats once??? You're trying to heal proteins in the body without eating any?? How about not eating vegetables which contain HUGE amounts of oxalates which form crystals and cause incredible amounts of damage to joints, ligaments, and bones. Pasturized milk is dangerous and will cause allergies as well as unpastured eggs but in their raw, naturally fed state these foods are of the utmost importance to eat. Foods that you mentioned like grains contain lectins which leach minerals from bones. That includes "whole grains". You're a nutritionist and know better than to advise that.
Hi Kerry, Can you provide any evidence from the scientific literature that animal proteins and animal fats are required by the human body for growing or healing? The 9 essential amino acids that the body needs for growth and repair can only be made by plants!!! No animal or human can make them. That is why they are called essential. The cow and other animals get them from plants and grains that they eat. Of course you can eat the chicken but you will get a sufficient amount of amino acids (protein) from eating your veggies, whole grains and legumes without the toxic load and excess saturated fat (that will clog up your arteries and slow down your blood flow and consequently the healing process). All plants contain varying amounts of poly, mono and saturated fats sufficient for the human body. I would also question the pseudo science around lectins. The healthiest and longest living people on the planet all eat foods that contain lectins (chic peas, lentils, quinoa, soy, red kidney beans, wheat). Unless you have a specific negative reaction to any of these foods, then avoiding them maybe more detrimental to your health as your good gut flora thrive on fibre that can only be found in plant foods.
I know Marion - she is as bright and informed as she seems. She and her husband get people healthy, not just out of pain.
Thank you for your kind words, Dr. Stavrakos. :) Wish you all the best in health!
I love this video thank you for being so truthful about the healing process - patients have to take RESPONSIBILITY for their healing process
I cook simple things like sweet potatoes and I only throw in like 2 spices in the pot and boil them and I'm done, and it's super nutritious and tasty.
I love this advice THANK YOU

Do you have information on how prolotherapy might react in someone who is ketogenic?

I heard that stress plays a factor in the healing process, is that true?

Dr. Hauser, your wife is absolutely beautiful ❤

Is prolotherapy prp?

Some of this doesn't apply if the healthy foods still cause reactions/ inflamation in your system -- or cause histamine reactions
