I’m looking forward to playing this project back to back with Till You’re All I See. I think the light/dark, night/day, lament/rejoice dynamic will make for a most engaging listening experience. I’m just thinking how it’s cool that for the most part the lyrics remain the same (I’m assuming), but the tone/approach this time around are what’s different. Reminds me of the Psalms how there’s recurring themes for both the highs and lows (see what I did there?). All that to say, God bless you brother. Love what you’re doing and supporting as you do it. Rest assured I’m doing all I can to spread the word :)
@@mattykenobi8313 Means so much for me to hear, brother! I hope it doesn't rub you the wrong way, but the more I sit down to rewrite these old psalms, the more I'm leaning heavily into my old folk roots. Working with an amazing guitarist and mandolinist on a few of the songs, and can't wait for you to hear it. I actually think elements of folk rock/americana are part and parcel to the earthy, acoustic, but emotive sound I'm striving after these days. We'll see how it all unfolds on the record, but thank you for your prayers!
I’ve got no qualms, I quite enjoy that sound/genre. Excited to see how you apply it to your music! And you’re spot on about it translating to a more earthy tone. I had never thought about it like that, but it makes a lot of sense now that you mention it.
Love it!
Thanks!!
