I just realized Kiryu is kickin' their asses in socks while they have shoes on. Holy shit he kicks hard
Don't know why I like it so much, but I love the combo where kiryu just does two low kicks, like he missed a soccer ball the first hit and then tried again to send it soaring into the atmosphere.

to be fair, that made the long battles in 0 wayyy more enjoyable.
but it is funny to see kiryu absolutely bulldoze through a group of people, and then calmly walk to open a door to the next room.

I'd really like if they had kept the old dumb heat action where Kiryu beats up the chandelier's chain for 5 minutes while the dudes below it did absolutely nothing to stop him or even get out of the way

Also, those guys who were shooting at Kiryu while he's swinging on the chandelier have REALLY bad aim. He wasn't even swinging around that much!
in OG Y2 is even more stupid where Kiryu punching chandelier while the goons in the floor below didn't do anything.
How do you expect them to know how to shoot a gun in Japan?
It's actually pretty difficult to hit a moving target, much less when he's on a light source blinding you

Heat has always been in Yakuza
The most likely reason why it decreases other than it being a gameplay element is because you're not partaking in the "heat" of a fight, which is why it decreases when you aren't attacking.
sadly with heat meter now tied to Ultimate Heat Mode I doubt heat decrease while not participated the fight mechanic gonna come back
Its the same thing as the adrenaline in the real life when you are in danger

I like the fighting styles they had on Yakuza Kiwami 1. They should have kept those. But they like had the stuff from Yakuza 6.

Are the boss battles better than in kiwami 1?
In my opinion, yes. In Kiwami 1, they barely had anything extra to them. As in: no new added dynamic intros or QTEs, only a few select ones have some things. Kiwami 2 on the other hand created new dynamic intros for the final boss (Kiwami 1 did that as well) but it also adds dynamic intros for previous bosses. The original Yakuza 2 had tons of QTEs as well so you'll see a lot of those here.

I can't say for sure. But there's probably more recycled movesets than we think.

Hmm, honestly I can't remember at all. Have you tried advancing more in the story? Or maybe doing other substories first that could unlock it?

It's actually pretty fun in this instance, because Daigo is pretty likely to give new players a hard time only 2 chapters before, then you see Ryuji defeat him like he's nothing, it helps build a sense of how dangerous Ryuji is right out the gate
