The MA/SS series might not go bad with that, as it was meant to be used in other countries.(Example: Hi-Lo is used in the UK specifically.) And the E2S A100 sounder is old, but you can find them on Ebay for a reasonable price. I'm considering one myself.
Hi there is many different versions of Manual Call Points or as some people in the UK call them Break Glass'. Some of them you just push the key in which I prefer but there is that one which you take it off and that. I recommend the Sonos sounder by Apollo if you are able to get it, it costs around $30 I believe. :D
0:57 - That MCP to the right is actually a rip off of our KAC new style BGUs (Break Glass Units / MCP (Manual Call Point)). Still mostly the same though..
my school has a mix of pull stations and call points. Yesterday, someone served a volleyball so good it hit a call point at lunch and the spectralerts went off. They were not as loud since we a have only 1 power supply for all 100 alarms

Hi ! Could you make a video with French Sounders and call points ? With brand like : nugelec, aviss, finesécur or cerberus Guignard. Greetings from France ;)
S.e.r safety I’ll want to give you a fire alarm rash I sounder! And it actually sounds the same as my school alarm but my school alarm looks more different but it still sounds exactly the same!😊
@S.E.R Safety. Hey so my home has the first alert 9120Bs and all of them in the house the green light on them is off like it’s not on and I’ve been realizing it’s very hot in my house to.
I'm from Georgia but I work on fire alarm systems in the UK and it would be interesting to talk to you and compare the UK systems to the US ones. You'll find the UK systems are very similar to most European ones but over here they have their own standards. I'm trying to build a test bench in my house but because everything here is smaller it's kinda hard to find the space! I've also got a spare British sounder beach I could send if you want.
Hi. I live in Germany and we have similar things here like Callpoints. Pushbuttonalarm "Druckknopfmelder" They look like Callpoints nur they have a real Buttons. And a second version Housealarm "Hausalarm" The different about these is: the "Druckknopfmelder" is red and the "Hausalarm" is blue. Sorry for bad english but agian i am from Germany.
Hey grant, I have a panel that is kinda unknown. It says it is a FX-254RD but it does not have the leds at the bottom half of the panel. Any ideas? I can send you images through your email if you want.
Im a European and i see many call points everywhere and the exit signs there mounted on the ceiling and walls. Its the exit sign with the green person on it
thats a resettable element some has these some don't so if you break the glass it has to be replaced, back in the 60s we did not have saftey glass so on our callpoints from the 60s had glass that shatterd that had hammers but pepole used to nick them so in my fire saftey training if i had to use one of those thier still dotted about but are pretty rare to use a long garmnent or you'll cut yourself. on the Old syle kac it did say fire on the front but you have what looks to be a off brand of a new style kac. now we have saftey glass so if it breaks its a clean break so it dose not shatter and cut yourself on.
The one shown is a European model, in the UK we use MCPs (Manual Call Points) called KAC so if you google KAC MCP it’ll show 2 types, one with an LED (Addressable) and one without (Conventional)
Sorry but I think this Call Point isn't from Europe, I'm from Germany, EVERY call point in EVERY buildig looks the same, and EVERY call point has a glass you need to break first, and it's also not a plate you need to press in, It's a small button! Thank you, great videos!
Not likely that ALL are rip-offs, considering Gentex offers it's GECR series as standard in China AFAIK. There was even a GCSR-CW spotted in a hotel room picture!
Fakealert Classics are actually quite rare to be seen in Chinese fire alarm systems. Jadebird, Gulf Security and T&A are the most commonly seen fire alarm brands in China, each of which has its own design of horn strobes. Jadebird ones are round-shaped like beacons. Gulf ones are capsule-shaped. T&A ones are similar to Gentex Commanders but in wavy shape. ALL Chinese FA systems are fully addressable with notification appliances and initiating devices wired in parallel on the same SLC. Each manufacturer has its own proprietary protocol, so there's no universal horn strobes.
I'm glad you did this video! I have also had requests to do this from my foreign viewers so hopefully they find this video!

The fire alarm sounded like it went off before it was activated 😂
You should try using a UK/English system. There easy to find on google when I search but might be diffrent for you idk

They managed to make a great design into an awful one!
@@JmFireAlarms Agreed, the usual KAC new style is proper nice kit tbh.
They bodged the KAC
@@SFSWales They bodged both like! The other one looks like a knockoff CQR-FP2

in Australia they are pretty much the same but they are glass and you have to put a new piece of glass in them every time you activate them.
Cool european call points i think they are more common there!!
I got a New Panel recently. Nice video!
In New Zealand most call points are glass with a switch behind them. Newer ones are closer to this, but still typically glass. Lot bulkier too
In my school the call points say fire press here and I love to send you a sounder

Call Points are common on cruise ships as well.
Yes, The pride of America cruise ship is one of the only ships that has North American alarms
Please try to a European/Australian styled system test, with European/Australian fire alarms and call points

A stopper covering the European style callpoint would be useful in preventing accidental alarm activation.

The problem with most foreign call-points is that they can be reset by anyone who orders the generic black "key" online.
