For a feature I've been wanting since I started the path of braincell killing animations, I've not gone near it, thinking it was a tricky thing to get right but after watching this video and giving it a try on a flight test, I now realize how much I've missed out.
Great video! I can't wait to master Mine-imator to the point that I can switch to blender as well! thank you for all your tutorial videos they help me a lot!
for example, my character waves to the other and my character is standing unrelated to the path constraints, and then I want him to walk to his friend, I create the path and create another key frame where my character will be related to the path constraints, After I create the second path point my character teleports again and I have to reset the position, but the bad part is that in the transition from stopped to the part where it is related to the path constraints it simply keeps blinking and teleporting between these two keyframes
Or should I leave my character on the path from the beginning and move him as I want?, without needing to make a transition point between outside the constraints and inside the path's constraints
Your vids are always helpful for me thankyou, I have a thought that can we animate moving ship or big boat in mine imator, if yes then can you cover this topic please🙏
you can download a texture for boats, for example better boats mod, and animate these ;) i did it with my own pet dog, a corgie, i downloaded a corgie skin for wolves, customized it to look like my corgie dog, now i can animate an pixelart for my own dog...just need to learn it now, never did anything in that direction... dont even can make my dog walk in circles after trying and watching this film for hours.... the only thing i was able to do until now, is bring the doggy in cute positions and export an screenshot for thumbnails and such.. yeah and i have a path, the dog is constricted to it, has a running cycle and the path has 4 positions in a circle.. offset 160 and a second keyframe for the dog later in time, but when i click , the doggy makes no move... :(
When I go to link my character's constraints to the path, it teleports, and when I fix the position and then play the animation between the keyframes where it is part of the path's constraints and before it is part of it, it teleports away and comes back how to fix this error? quando eu vou parentar o constraints do meu personagem no path ele teleporta, e quando eu arrumo a posição e então dou play na animção entre os keyframes onde ele faz parte do constraints do path e antes dele fazer parte ele teleporta para longe e volta como consertar esse erro?
When parenting and using constraints, the object's position becomes relative to the parent/constraint's position. I cover this in more detail in this video: ua-cam.com/video/NMRHDtSkehw/v-deo.html particularly in the "Customizing Path Animation" section.

When I go to constriants and click on path timeline and select the path, Steve just disappears can you help me as to why this is happening?
It's because Steve's position then becomes relative to the path. Set the position of whatever object you're parenting/constraining to 0.
@ What about if Steve is ins different position on the map? Other than 0,0,0
