Pero tengo otro amigo de la iglesia Episcopal de los Estados Unidos que me ha dicho que el Libro de Oración Común de 1928 está descontinuado y que necesito y que nadie lo utiliza. Me pregunta es...es cierto que el Libro de Oración Común 1928 está descontinuado y que nadie en el mundo Anglicano utiliza?
I have tried to use the book of common prayer and everytime it ends in frustration due to it being such a complicated mess for someone just looking for a simple devotional guide.
For what it's worth, I do think the morning and evening prayer services that Father is explaining here are a little bit complicated for a lot of people, esp those somewhat new to the prayer book. Hence the need to make a video. If what you're looking for is a simple daily liturgical devotion that's both quicker and easier to approach than the offices, there is a section in the prayer book that works really well for that. If you go to the section for family prayers, there is a much simpler series of prayers that can be said every day. It takes about 5 minutes and is the same every day, starting with the Lord's prayer. And if you're looking for something even simpler, there's a shorter form immediately following. You can still say the weekly collect and follow along with the Scripture readings in the lectionary. But that isn't necessary for the bones of these devotions. Hope you find this helpful. I do these every day and they have been enormously impactful on my life, but I didn't know they existed until someone showed them to me.

No es cierto. Muchas iglesias todavía lo utilizan.
