- I play thew new remaster mod for Half-Life 2, Fake Factory Remaster with MMod! This mod overhauls the game's environment and gameplay, adding new areas and alternate routes. It is a modification of the original Fake Factory Cinematic Mod, but restores the atmosphere and removes unnecessary additions. I play through the missions Point Insertion, "A Red Letter Day," and Route Kanal.

i like how it establishes the combine's presence more on earth. vanilla half life is still kinda better, but it feels like gordon was woken after 30 or 28 years instead of 20.

@@denifnaf5874 it does not take place in Bulgaria. It takes place "somewhere" in eastern Europe. In fact, in episode one and two valve used russian on new signs (idk about hl alyx)
I like how there are those combine vehicles at the trainstation in an area where there's no way to drive them out of there...
Pretty good mod, I like how they add environmental clutter to make everything a bit more realistic. It just adds more to the world of Half Life :))
I haven't played this yet, but I believe they added the thing from Freeman's Mind, where you can shoot the electricity pole to kill electricity in those containers just before the airboat!
He did a fantastic job with this remake, it even works with Raising the Bar: Redux, so you can play half life 2 remastered with the weapons and assets from rtb:r too.

Looks pretty cool, though I don't like the changes to the level design. Some day I hope to see a Source 2 remaster that keeps the level design of the original (no changing routes that the player takes) but updates the graphics to add more clutter and make the environment more three dimensional with more realistic natural terrain. I mean, imagine Highway 17 and Sandtraps made with today's technology. As far as level changes go, I'd be fine with adding some new little areas just to add little secrets and easter eggs, and expand upon the exploration aspects of the game, as long as the intended route to progress the game stays the same.
Would be cool if Valve would do it themselves, but I'll take a fan made Source 2 remaster considering it's far more likely.
Decent mod adds alot more smaller detail to the maps you appear in and adds great effects from other sources.
I’d really like to see you do a full gameplay as a Cremator and try and beat Half life!!!

Pretty nice mod, adding foliage and other decors is nice and other, while keeping the style of original map is pretty cool, also, another question, when will be the HL2EP2 in gmod ?

This mod is pretty cool, although half life 2 already looks really good even to this day, and considering that this is still in the source engine, hasn’t been upgraded to source 2 or anything, it’s hard to make it look BETTER than the original version while still using the same 2004 engine.
Not to downplay the devs work, but I don’t really have much reason to check this mod out personally, doesn’t make any huge improvements that would make the effort to download worth it imo.
(I’m writing this NOT including the weapon changes from mmod, since those aren’t a part of the mod this video is focused on.)

What is the input to aim the mod weapons?
Is there a guide somewhere on installing these? I'm pretty technical, and I'm still finding it confusing.
I had trouble too, the creator made a tutorial vid that you can find on the mod page/his channel. Tips: make sure to transfer the 2 pak files into the hl2 folder

I wouldn't call the FF Remaster a 100% Faithful Remaster to HL2, but regardless I admire the mod more than the original (Plus MMOD in mix)
Wow this mod looks better then the original I like about mods same game but different look my favorite mods I like so far of half life 2 is this the mmod version overcharged and rasing the bar redux though 4 are my favorite so far

Wouldn’t let me transfer the files it stays stuck at 0% :(
That happened to me, what I did to fix it was extract the files to a new folder and then transfer them to the hl2 game

Absolute garbage mod, mess of assets that aren't even his, doesn't work for a majority of people with the creator overhyping it. Should've had playtesters and other modders on this one, even Cinematic Mod was more stable.
But the creator took 3 years to make it
Also, the creator probably got permission to use the models or he made his own
Half life comunity when someone makes a mod with the slightest change to the game
