Martyn that’s a great video and it was good to see how you gradually improved using the machine, you certainly have the rhythm, very very hard to operate especially when you are scooping up the rubble/fill in the wrong direction, a great time had by the looks of it, hope to see you next year! 👍
Yes, I enjoyed it very much. Not my machine , so I treat other peoples machines with respect. Don't run it at higher revs and fill the bucket to capacity. It wold break my heart if I damaged it whilst operating it. Not on bonus work lol, so just lapping up the moment on a wonderful machine .
The only place I could set up, a 10 RB was working very close in front of the 22 and the roadway on the side was in use by service vehicles taking coal to the steam shovel So I could not put the camera where I wanted due to risk of it being run over.I could not put it on top of the bank as a 19 RB was there. That's the way it went.

My dad taught me to operate a 22RB face shovel back in 1976, he was a great operator, but I cannot pass on this skill to my sons
