***** For sure I will! I have learned so much from this channel. More importantly. many good techniques that might be lost due to IJF will be found here.
As a wrestler who loved the ankle pick, finding the judo equivalent for when I've got the gi on is perfect! Excellent video - and your demonstrator is damn textbook perfect.
+skraddypoo Thank you. That is good feedback for us. We want to provide the best quality material possible. Please keep watching and tell others about our UA-cam channel.

Second time look video on this channel. Good for first year judoka. Uke just stay in defense and not load tori. Usually he will load tori and bend him as well to full control. Tori will be not able to step on side. Sumi gaeshi with grip on back or belt of uke can help to win in such position.
Good question. I have to wear hearing aids as I am nearly deaf and it would be difficult to take the hearing aids out and back in during a workout. Another reason is that I am often larger physically that most of the people in my club and it may appear that the technique being demonstrated only works because of my size. Another reason is that, like many older Judo and Sambo guys, I have some injuries (especially in the lower back and shoulders) that prohibit freedom of movement. I am fortunate to have some skilled students and coaches in my club that do the demonstrations for the camera.
+Stan White That applies only to IJF rules. In Sambo, AAU Judo, Freestyle Judo and various other grappling sports where jackets are used, the pistol grip is usually allowed.
Damn, I have seen lots of youtube videos. I have to say this Steve Scott is one of the best, if not the best. No exaggeration .

Action starts at 2:14
As far as I recall, pistol grips are a shido. However, I'm not sure if this rule has changed since 2014.
Ted Matthew I can't keep up with the IJF rule changes, but the pistol grip is allowed in AAU Judo and in sambo. Thanks for watching.
THANK U SO MUCH SIR ¡

👍
Why doesn't Steve Scott demo the technique himself?

I loved the first version and while pistol is illegal you can simple grab the sleeve ...
tani otoshi looks like ou can injure your partner
So far, no one's been injured in practice, both in drilling or randori on the throw. Thanks for your comments.
Can't pistol grip. Minor detail
