I traded 93 sc400+$800 for my 93 TTZ in 2009. Back then I would see many z32's everyday in socal but nowadays these are becoming unicorns especially TT's. Honestly I never expected the values to be in the 20's ever but Im glad z32's are getting the attention that it deserves.
Every car has its season for being in the ‘spotlight’ and getting it’s just due. Tis the season for the Z32TT. Long over due. You are correct in that $21k is a fair price for an original owner car with a manual tranny. That was a deal but another deal will come your way…
Lol 300zx are not worth it... It's your money, and if you want to pay it, that's on you. However, you can not compare a 300zx which was a very high production car, with very low production cars like a Supra, RX7, NSX. That's like saying copper should be expensive, because gold is. I, as a person that has been in the Z game since the 90's, feel the Z's price currently is at or near the peek of a bubble. Soon a lot of people are going to loose their asses on these Z's. Even you seem like a Honda fan boy, that just wants a Z as an investment.
The 300ZX is 110% comparable to the Supra. They’re both in the same weight class (with the 300ZX Z32 TT having the edge over the Supra TT, weightwise, in both Targa/T-Top and Slicktop trim). They’re both 300HP Twin Turbo 6 Cylinders, with RWD, from Japan, and they’re both capable of 190MPH de-limited. Their engines are both good for - with stock internals - 800+WHP. Both have competed in world race series events, with the Z32 having won Le-Mans in its class and still holding the record for worlds fastest modified Japanese car in top speed. Production numbers have nothing to do with it when you consider that only 18,274 Twin Turbo Z32’s were ever made and sold in the USA and Canada, while there were roughly 10,000 NA1 NSX’s sold, 17,295 FD RX-7’s sold, and 6000ish Supra TT’s sold in the same region. So with that being said, we can presume that it’s logical that the car is certainly more popular than the rest, but outside of the Supra (which was actually not so popular in its heyday), the Z32 was still a rare car in its top spec form - almost as rare as an FD3S RX-7, and about half as rare as an NA1 NSX. As someone who claims to be in the Z game, you sure seem to have little faith in said Z’s. Need I remind you about all the technical/sales/design/bureacratic achievements that the Z32 TT brought to the table in late ‘89? None of the other cars you mention had anywhere near the impact on mainstream car culture in that period as the Z32 did.
@@39PSIOnTheDaily You are missing the point, they made 3 times as many TT Z's as they did Turbo Supra's. Simple supply and demand. Even then the production numbers you are quoting are not correct. I'm talking about comparing price here not, capability. A stock z32 at 800whp would not last more than a few passes before the bottom end blew out of the motor. Stock they are good to about 700whp, some people have gone 750 with pistons and rods, and they've blown up the girdle eventually. All the stuff you claim that the Z brought to the table, is why I could so easily find broken down Z's for dirt cheap for so many years. People buy one and think "I got this cool car" then realize, these things are fking expensive to keep running. I've worked on many Z's and owned many, I'm just a realist. I enjoy Z's and enjoy beating the piss out of them. I don't see them as an investment. Most Z guys like myself used to have multiple Z's in our back yards to grab parts off of. (how many Supra, FD, NSX owners can say that?) So again, it's your money, if you want to pay a stupid amount for a Z do it, just don't be surprised when they start to tank in value again.
@@aaronwlkr are you like 17? If you want a dyno queen there are many cars out there to satisfy your needs. People that are buying these cars want them stock and will pay top dollar for them. Integra type r's arent fast but it's still legendary. Z32 sold a crap ton new but most of them got trashed and TTz's are getting rarer by the day. Even parts are getting harder to find
@@Pennychaser1 lol so dumb of you to even ask if I'm 17, when I said I've been in the Z game since the 90's. Again a Teggy Type R was super rare, so to try and compare the 2 is dumb. if you want a rare Z try to find a SMZ Z32. That's a rare Z, you've probably never even heard of till now.

No, just like NSX I would keep the 300ZX TT. I am a honda fan boy but have always LOVED the 300ZX
