sometimes people just swap instrument pallettes and call it a cover.. but this arrangement and timbre and instrumentation.. everything. is pure brilliance. a true cross over man this was amazing.
To this day, Jiggies of Time is one of the best, most impressive and enagaging RomHacks I've ever played, most settle for just making difficult levels or changing up the graphics, you and Kurko made a whole damn new game and I loved every second of it, your music was an enormous part of the journey. Highlights were this, Kokiri Forest, and my favorite track overall was definitely Grunty's Castle, amazing remixes!
Warms my heart to hear. 🤍 Would like to note though that I am one of five to six different music producers and I only Provided this Hyrule Field arrangement as well as the Gerudo Valley arrangements. I feel very rewarded when I help creators like Mark. their abilities in capturing the art style of Banjo-Kazooie is very inspiring to me and it's what motivates me to try my best to capture the art style of the musical department as well. I would love, If I ever have the ability, to help both Mark as well as other passionate creators with that similar drive and supportive personality ❤
@@linusolssonmusic That's my bad for not doing my research, but I'm sure the sentiment would come across to the others just as well! I hope that you get more chances to work with creators like Mark in the future!
Grant Kirkhope would be proud. It's amazing how you can remaster a game's soundtrack to have the exact same sound and feel as the Banjo games. Whenever I hear this I instantly want to play Banjo Kazooie. Can't wait to see what future remixes you do
when playing the hack and heard this, i cried, it's just too perfect of a song, It felt like I was really playing the real third banjo game, amazing job!
My view is to treat passion projects and fan projects equally the same as professorial business. Because where all humans and where all equally valued regardless. Appreciate your kind words.
Dude! This is so cool! I love how you went above and beyond simply swapping the Hyrule Field theme into the Banjo-Kazooie soundfont - you completely reworked the song to fit the B-K compositional style, and you nailed it!
Thanks pixeltea. When it comes to rom hacks and mods, the custom music they have a lot of the time feels like a bit of a missed opportunity and it's not just because they don't sound like the original games OSTs or take pre-existing midi files and just swapping the sounds. It's because the songs they use a lot of the time does not fit the gameplay experience. I remember listening to a old GDC talk done by non-other then Koji Kondo himself and he said something along the lines of: *If the music doesn't fit the gameplay experience, it simply becomes background noise.* The only rom hacks i've seen that do a very good job at choosing songs that fit the experience are modern Kaizo Mario rom hacks. They do a fantastic job at choosing song that fit that high-speed action.
1:09 is easily my favorite section. The note sequence here is very much in Grant Kirkhope's style and the additional bits change it into its own thing, as if it were a section or piece originally in Banjo-Kazooie! Applause are in order for such a creatively and mastered arrangement of a theme that is not normally so jolly. Good show, sir!
That segment was in fact the arpeggio segment from the original just with an heavily different rhythm and orchestration. I greatly appreciate you're kind words and feedback. Cheers.
everything about the game and soundtrack is perfect! this song brought a special excitement when first entering from kokiri- really sets up for the incredible adventure!!
This is both hilarious contrast from the original and a genuinely good style swap! I really love this a lot, and I hope to hear more like this from you! You did a great job. (This might be worth tweeting at Grant Kirkhope too, I feel like he'd get a kick out of it!)
Dang man, a combination of two things I hold very dear to my heart, and it sounds as beautiful as i'd imagine it would be. Great job to both you and Mark for this.
I know that you're already tired of hearing this, but this track is just sooo goood! Amazing work! Had to search the music on YT just after hearing it for the first time!
Absolutely magnificent,it's like zelda and banjo soundtrack did ..... Fuuuuuuuuuuuuu .... sion... haaa! Very very awesome its impossible to not be happy when u hear this 😅👌
This is great, it sounds right at home with Banjo Kazooie, once this mods finish I gotta make sure to take my time in Hyrule field listening to this masterpiece 🐻🐦🧩🪕🎵
Whoa you nailed it! I could even say that its better than the og hyrule field, also can i ask a question, is it possible to people to use this in projects?
Thanks for the feedback. I don't really know if any of you can use it as of yet. I personally am fine with any of you using it. But i'm not too sure on Mark Kurko's end.
If you want to use it in your own video game, please waith to the Jiggies of Time's release (will be soon). But if you want it for any other type of project (videos or something) use it without problem.

I'll repeat myself from another comment. While I did not make a night variation of this track specifically I know Mark had someone make an arrangement of the Night theme from Twilight Princess, which is what I think your talking about. The arrangement is not on UA-cam though. I think Mark said he made an digital download of the whole soundtrack in his release video for this rom hack. But idk much about it. I was just one of the multiple arrangers on this project. If you want the Jiggies of time tracks, i'd recommend you ask Mark Kurko about it.

That's a bug in the hack. Could have to do with the tick value. But I can't do anything about that. I just programmed the midi and shipped it to Mark. So if there's any issues with the midi playback take it with Mark.

i said this on the other video but it bears repeating
this legit might be my favorite hyrule field remix ever lol
Thanks so much ❤ I did see your comment on the other video and it warmed my heart to hear.
I completely agree, this sounds totally professional. I could imagine hearing this in a AAA game from the 90s and wouldn't think twice about it.
Heh, bears...
This is fantastic, and could only come from a deep understanding of the soundtracks of both games. Much respect!
Hack roms should do this more often. Hearing a song from a game in the style of a completely different game is amazing
How does this not have more views?? This needs to be shared by all
